Description
All gas springs (gas pistons, gas rams) are NOT created equal!
The Nitro Piston 2 has it all over the original Nitro Piston and almost every other gas spring on the market. Most gas springs have a reputation of being hard to cock, but the NP2 put an end to that. According to airgun writer Tom Gaylord, it's the easiest-cocking gas piston he's ever shot.
But Crosman didn't stop the improvements there. They also improved the trigger so it feels like it's been tuned! Imagine that: A factory trigger that breaks crisp and clean. It has a significantly lighter trigger-pull, not one of those so-called "lawyer" triggers that requires Herculean strength to shoot.
As long as they were making improvements, Crosman decided to make a better and more effective integral sound suppression system that really is quiet. You'll notice an immediate difference between the report from your Nitro Piston 2 air rifle and the older Nitro Piston guns or other brands.
So, let's add up what you'll get in this great package: Easy cocking, fantastic trigger and less noise. And, it's assembled in Crosman's plant in Bloomfield, New York. While that's almost everything you could ever want, there's one more thing -- and it's really important: Accuracy. When Tom Gaylord tested a Nitro Piston 2 at an industry show, he commented that he hit everything he aimed at. Isn't that what you want to do? We thought so!
The Benjamin Trail NP2 with a Realtree Xtra camo stock isn't a dream -- it's a dream come true. It's here for you to enjoy, to hit everything you're aiming at, and not strain with each cock and each pull of the trigger. They've put the fun back in airgunning!
Please note the scope shown is an old model. Crosman has replaced packages with a new improved version CP394AONP2-999.

7 of 7 Benjamin Trail NP2 Rifle, Camo, Combo Reviews
i am impressed with the overall rifle. the camo finish is well worth the slight difference in cost. The stock is nicely designed and makes the rifle easy to aim. Very quiet and accurate. To me the trigger is just fine, I adjusted it to my personal taste and it is awesome. I live in a metro area and this gun is very backyard friendly. I think this is the best airgun available in the non pcp rifles. I have it sighted in at a little over 30 yards which is the size of my yard and can hit anything I aim at. I can shoot the caps off liquor bottles one after the other. Oh yes this gun is powerful. squirrels and pest doves just drop....in place. If you cant afford the pcp class of rifles, and require a silent and powerful device, which is very classy, I would highly recommend.
Things I Would Have Changedthe plastic shroud tends to come loose, I just gjve it a small twist before each shot to make sure its tight. If the shroud was metal, this rifle would be the best without question. The plastic just makes it feel sort of "made in China". My first gun blew the end off the shroud after about 300 shots but pyramyd replaced it. I never used the scope that it came with.
What Others Should KnowImpressive, quiet, powerful, accurate, I feel that I got my money's worth. Customer service at pyramyd was awesome, just make sure you have a good charge on your phone when you call in. I guess they are very busy and the hold time is very long,
Accuracy is powerful.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing
What Others Should KnowI bought 2 the camouflage and the wood one.
Beautiful Gun, Deadly Accurate, Great Stock, Easy to Cock and Light Weight. Benjamin air guns are the best brand for the $.
Things I Would Have Changed0
What Others Should KnowI did not mount the stock scope, because I had a Leapers scope for it.
Great performance; very good camouflage graphics; excellent fit and finish.
Things I Would Have ChangedPrefer to have a MIL-dot, illuminated scope with this package for the price. But the scope in this bundle is fine. I also would prefer to see a metal sleeve (rather than a plastic one) accompanying the barrel shroud.
Very quiet,Nice camo,good power.not very heavy.
Things I Would Have ChangedTrigger, very hard pull.locktite all screws.
What Others Should KnowThe trigger adjustment screw needs locktite as do all the other screws.Barrel pivot screw loosens up.Very hold sensitive.Best if shot from a rest.Heavy recoil.Got about 750 shots and have to say this gun isnt very accurate.Tried many different pellets and h&n field pellets 5.55 head give the best grouping. The trigger has a very hard pull which contributes to the inaccuracy.
High craftsmanship; excellent weapon design; great camo graphics; quiet performance; deadly accurate

I love the camo and the weight of this gun. I also love the grip of the gun. Right out of the box it was extremely loud with the first shot then got quite as I shot it more. Normal guns it takes around 500 shots to get it broke is good this gun held a nickel size group at 20 yrds after maybe 50 shots or so. This gun is very powerful.
Things I Would Have ChangedI would have liked a mil dot scope but you can always upgrade the scope
What Others Should KnowThis gun with the first shot is LOUD but after the first shot it was quite and is driving nails right out of the box. I highly recommend this gun to anyone.
