The pellet gun seems to be good. I like the longer barrel for more power and accuracy !!!

The pump arm handle it's to small for some one with big hands like me!!! The stock needs to be adjustable the whole assembly is to short for some one with long arms like me !!!!!! I would have put grips in the kit to use it like a pistol !!!! And the better breach kit to mount a scope !! A better backpack to put it in !! AS to the cheap china junk throw it away , i would not put some thing to drink in the canteen before having it tested for contaminants!!!!!!

This is not much for survival doomsday bug out kit !!!!! To be able to get food to stay alive , more like a 12 year old kit to play with!!!

Nicely done removable stock, needs a more comfortable pistol grip though, for when stock is removed.

I purchased a Crosman 2289 Doomsday 6 years ago and found it to be terrific gun. I loved the way it was designed, handled and operated; I would have purchased a 2nd Doomsday, but within a short time, none could be found, even on ebay. I purchased a Crosman1322 and immediately realized the hazard of damaging my hand with every pump. The difference was the wide forearm on the 2289. While not sold separately, this forearm was duplicated by a wood carver and sold on ebay. I purchased one, painted it black and put it onto the 1322, eliminating this hazard. When this new 2289 version came out, having a longer barrel than the earlier version, I jumped at it, thinking the forearm could not possibly be identical to the 1322, but it was! But not now. I've put the forearm wood carving on the new Doomsday and it handles and operates better than before, at least as good as my 6 year-old Doomsday, if not better. Pyramyd Air should sell these wider forearms, if not a another wood carver.

Change the new 2289 forearm from the Crosman 1322 version to the previous 2289 version.

Wow! What a good little Airgun. I put on the steel breech kit easy by the way. I always put those on even the 2240 models. Put on the Winchester 2-7x32/AO. What a charm to shoot. Very accurate at 15 to 20 yards with 4 to 5 pumps. Must of got a perfect barrel. Holes in holes using Crosman Hp ammo. And all the stuff it comes with is nice too.

Great value. Shoots accurately from 7 yards. Quiet. Nice backpack case (for not having to pay for it separately).

The stock is a bit uncomfortable but what a value!

Inexpensive, compact, high powered enough for small game at short range and very accurate for what it is.

I wish the rear sight was click adjustable and that the peep sight had a removable aperture, also the stock hole is too small for low light and sighting the gun in is a bit of a pain in the caboose. That said the gun is shockingly accurate despite the primative sights.

I really wish you could buy this gun as a combo with the steel breech and a williams FP reciever sight since scoping a gun this compact ruins it's purpose as a compact hunting rig and a backpack plinker.

This is a great little gun , great deal package for the price you cant go wrong. Very accurate and also nice power for it size. The best thing is that you can customize this to your taste and needs.

The back pack and other extras that comes with the package are not the best quality but come on for the price just the gun is worth the money , I am pretty happy and been .22 cal is a plus.

The stock does not have the screws just click into the gun. I took my time and drilled and added the screws to make I stronger connection, other than that is a very cool little gun and very accurate . I will recommend this to everyone .
