If you like 1911 firearms but can't afford or find the ammo, get this CO2 BB pistol. The blowback adds another dimension of realism if you plan to use this CO2 gun to maintain firearm proficiency. Even better, ammo is cheap and available.

Not muchThings I would have changed:
The trigger, slide don't do anything and are superfluous, and misleading.
Perfect Combo: Purchased this pistol; and the Crosman 1077 rifle sporting a wood stock. Both guns as a combination are a perfect fit. ( Crosman, are you listening ? ) Both offer full strength shots for 4 magazines worth. At least 2 additional magazines worth are possible but with reduced power and accuracy. The rifle is good out to 25 yds, the pistol is good out to 20 yds. Best at 15 yds. The look and feel of both are very impressive. Since purchase I have about 1000 rounds shot through each. Each gun has a great conservation of Co 2 gas. I mean that when tightening the screw for the Co 2 cartridge, only a quarter of a turn is required and very little gas is expelled while tightening.Things I would have changed:
Nothing as far as the pistol is concerned. Other than possibly offering an adjustable rear sight. Although it is really not needed. The rifle has a plastic magazine and receiver, would prefer metal. Do not know how long the plastic will last with prolonged use. ( Crosman are you listening ? )What others should know:
Cannot fathom why anyone would write a review as they are opening the darn box. Wait till you shoot the darn thing and have at least a 1000 rounds down range. I had to exchange the first pistol; for a second. The magazine consistently fell out of the grip after every shot. The exchanged pistol; has so far worked without deficiencies. No problems experienced yet with the rifle. The pistol came with a holster. All for the same price as the non blow back version.

why would a 1911 BB pistol have a blow-back slide that does not cock the hammer and needs a double action trigger ? Are the designers at Crosman delibertly trying to send people over to a Daisy model 11..?,, because the Daisy actually works.
I'd recommend taking a look at the Tanforglio Witness or John Wayne 1911....actually there are a bunch that have proper single action only functionality with blow back
where can you get more co2 cylinder from
The bb's just roll right out of the magazine when I apply the spring pressure on my crosman GI model 1911 bb pistol. Any solution other than buying a new magazine? It probably has less than 100 rounds through it.
