The Crosman Legacy 1000 - One Hundred Year Anniversary Edition Multi-Pump Air Rifle is a limited edition with a rifled steel barrel and special commemorative highlights. With variable-pump velocities up to 750 FPS with lead pellets and 800 FPS with BBs, this bolt-action airgun delivers hours of easy target practice and plinking fun.
The inclusion of a multi-pump function in this air rifle allows the shooter to control the power level by pumping it from 3 to 12 times. This means that shooters can easily change the power of each shot, enabling different types of shooting and customized results for multiple weights and types of ammo.

Less $ then the standard model. Holds alot of bbs. Accurate at 2 pumps with bbs at 15 ft. Positive bb feed. Good bolt operation reliably picks up 1 bb. The pump parts are steel. It looks good next to my Berra 1966 in gold.
Things I would have changed:Nothing. It is what it is.
What others should know:Pellets aren't worth messing with in these. If you do shoot pellets be sure to have a cleaning rod handy. It is ez to jamb a pellet. It is an excellent bb gun and a scope mounts rite on. The Berra is a nicer rifle, but doesn't take a scope. That's why I have one of each !

I like that it is a 100 anniversary model and that is very accurate with open sites. I was able to stack 4 out of five pellets on top of each other wit open sites at 20yards with JSB 8.44gr pellets. You can check out my shooting review of this rifle on my youtube channel bravobassin to see how well it does with open sites at 20yds.
Things I would have changed:well a wood pump handle and stock metal reciever and a open top loading port for loading pellets would be very nice and is what I feel they should have done at least for this anniversary model but the open top loading port is something they need to fix no matter what because it is kind of hard to load pellets in it. You just have to kind of drop it in an dhope in lands in there facing the right way so no fast loading going to happen with pellets with this rifle.
What others should know:The side loading port make it hard to load pellets into the breach so be aware that you will not be able to reload another pellet very fast.

Is the receiver made of metal, as it is on the 2100 Classic, or is it just colored plastic?

It's a plastic receiver that is coated with gold paint or another type of material. But the receiver is unique and has the 100th Anniversary Title molded into it.

The 2100 has a metal receiver and plastic pump rod. The 1000 has a plastic receiver and metal pump rod.

Feels solid. Iron sights or option for scope. Commemorative tin of pellets was a nice touch. Was accurate with the few pellets I put through it.
Things I would have changed:First would be making the trigger lighter and less gritty take up. Making the pumping easier. Better have some strength if you are going past 6 pumps.
What others should know:H&N 10.65 baracuda match pellets were my winners with 5 pumps at 10 yards. My parasitic bird issue falls in that distance and so far I’m batting .1000!
