10 of 10 Laser Genetics ND3 Laser, Green Reviews
A well made laser/flashlight, very solidly built. Coherent light sources like this laser produce very sharp edges when focussed or unfocussed, and this item definitely cuts a very sharp beam.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe scope mount limits how the ND3 can be mounted--there must be sufficient clearance between the scope's turrets and the ND3 ring mount--this can cause eye relief adjustment problems. With the ND3 and the Bushnell scope I've mounted on my recent purchase of a Gamo Bone Collector IGT, I find it impossible to mount it due to the Gamo rifle needing a "scope stop base" to effectively hold a scope stationary on the receiver dovetail.
What Others Should KnowPrice was a bit high, but not too steep if one wants to mount a laser light on one's varmint air rifle--but consider how the rifle requires a scope to be mounted before purchasing.
very durable and well made, worked well at 25 yards and the raccoon's on my deer feeder didn't seem to notice or care they were lit up.
Things I Would Have Changedprice point, way to expensive for a product that doesn't work properly in cold weather. Now they have a newer model that supposedly works in the cold.
What Others Should KnowThe beam strength is amazing although i have not tested it to the manufacturers claims, it worked great for my application on a ruger 10/22 for raccoon issues at short yardage. I will definitely mount this to my talon ss and try some ratting with it.
Ability to shoot targets at night.
Things I Would Have ChangedYou have to hold down the pressure switch to engage the laser. I would rather be able to click it on and off, more of a personal preference issue than anything.
What Others Should KnowUnless it is pitch black outside, the usable beam seems to be around 150 yards away max. This is a little less than advertised but overall its a fun product to put on your gun.
Great quality, a real top notch item! both the included rear switch and pressure switch work flawlessly. The adjustment from full concentrated beam to spread beam is smooth and without glitches and has enough resistance to stay where it's set. It comes in a very nice case for all the mounting configurations you could think of... except mine. I am using a non 1" round dot site on a short pistol frame. Once I stepped up and mounted a picitinny rail to match the quality of this piece, mounting was a snap! The 11mm/weaver adapters work great!
Things I Would Have Changed1) Price; it's really up there. 2) Brightness; almost too bright. 3) The really neat case is worthless once your choice of mount is on it. You have to take the rings off the light to fit in the case, or keep it mounted on during times you don't need it.
What Others Should KnowIf you're going to mount this thing on a pistol frame with a red dot site that 's other than 1", get ready to search the net for a mounting solution! I had to order a few pieces that tacked on $40.00. Had to pay freight from two different sources.
The packaging and kit were excellent. Shipped in a timely manner (just in time for the hunt). Exceeded most of my expectations.
Things I Would Have ChangedI would say the wide beam is visible for hunting up to approximately 125 yards and no more. The narrow beam does seem to go on for miles but not applicable for hunting.
The ND3 was packaged well, with great accessories.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe ND3 does not perform as advertised.
What Others Should KnowPyramyd Air is great to do business with - caution to anyone considering this product.
Awsome product, this is by far the brightest and fartherest reaching laser I have ever used in civilian life. I was a little leery spending this amont of money on "laser flashlight" but after seeing Paul Cappello's video on "American Airgunner" I decided to pull the trigger and I was not disapointed.
Things I Would Have ChangedNot a thing!!
What Others Should KnowA little pricey but is a great alternative for night vision equipment.. When beam is adjusted wide the was no problem seeing target at 100yds or better.
The beam is great and you can really see the critters out there in the dark while remaining invisible to them. The adjustable beam works to the advantage of the user.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing I can think of at this time. Maybe lower the price.
What Others Should KnowThe OEM battery is a piece of crap. Get some good ones and you'll be better off. I use rechargeable CR123 batteries and they work great.
Great size to laser beam ratio. This baby is just a little bigger than the Mini Maglite that uses two AA batteries. This laser light is constructed very well and comes with so many mounting options that you can mount it on almost anything right out of the box. The battery it uses is a little pricey to buy but has the voltage of two ''normal'' batteries but with a compact size, holds a charge for a long time too. This makes for one serious laser pointer. Overall I'd have to say that this is one pretty awesome product, I'm very satisfied with it.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe Price. We're all thinking it, I'm just buying it. What else is a Tax Refund for? This item does carry a hefty price tag but if you want the latest and greatest in Laser technology and find you've got an extra $300 hanging around, why not? PyramydAir sells this cheaper than anyone else. I would like to see this come with a tail cap button that allows a momentary on if you just press and hold the button. Currently you have to click it all the way on or use the supplied momentary on tail cap extension cord, which doesn't allow it to stay on unless your holding the pad down all the time.
What Others Should KnowThe smallest beam setting puts out a nice solid circle about 1 inch around. The widest setting gives a big cone that's about 3-4 inches wide at about 3 feet. It comes with plenty of warnings about not shining it in your eyes but it ultimately happens. All you see is green in the center, everything around the green goes black followed by pain right away. Try not to look right into the lens when the laser is active, its just fail.

The weight.
Things I Would Have ChangedThis laser does not work below 45 degrees. The mounting bracket does not hold a zero and moves around all the time.
What Others Should KnowI have had and tested 3 sub zero lasers none of which
worked below 45 degrees. All of which mounting brackets
do not hold still. I dont know what states some of these guys used them in or what months of the year, but i will say this if you think your sub zero works
put it in the freezer for 15 mins and then check it.
Sorry guys william is right.I am stuck with two of them that can't be returned. Save your money buy something that works and has been tested in cold weather.
