Description
With extended eye relief (up to 5 inches), you'll have a lot more flexibility and find you can mount the riflescope on more guns. Since hunts don't always happen in ideal lighting conditions, the illuminated mil-dot reticle makes it easier for you to see your target no matter what color it is or how much (or little) ambient light is available. From dawn til dusk, you'll be able to see your reticle and your target.
Because the magnification is low, you'll see more of the surrounding environment, making it easier to acquire your target. Generally speaking, hunters like lower-powered scopes, as higher magnifications don't offer the same sense of location since your field of view is quite small and limited.
This UTG scope has an etched-glass reticle, which is superior to a wire reticle because it's etched by a laser and is much more precise. That lets you get even more accuracy from your gun. Another way that etched-glass reticles are superior to wire reticles is when they're illuminated. The etched ones show the illumination only on the reticle. It looks like the reticle is floating. Wire reticles often have a reflection of the illumination in the objective lens, which can be distracting when shooting.

6 of 6 Leapers UTG Accushot 1-8x28 Multi-Range Reviews
size of tube (30mm), controls are very good with easy adjustments, good reticle, well made and appears to be quite rugged and dependable.
Things I Would Have Changedbetter optical clarity; around the edge not very clear.
What Others Should Knowthis is a 30 yard scope; you have to make adjustments accordingly.
i sent this unit back to factory due to clarity issue but was told by them it is a 30 yard scope...in all fairness, my eyes are not what they used to be and you may have better luck with clarity than i have. it seems to me that any adjustment, powerwise, above 4x was not very clear even at only 65 yards.
Very sturdy and bright. The right power range for my needs.
Things I Would Have Changed1) Place the reticle on the first focal plane, so that you can use the same mildot for hold over/under at any power setting. Plus range estimation can be done at any power setting, not just max power. 2) Drop the 36 colors. Have just three colors: red, green, and yellow. Any more are too difficult to cycle through, especially if your fingers are not as nimble as they use to be. 3) As Roy stated in his review, the eye piece needs an old fashioned lock ring. But this is a "fault" that I have with all the newer scopes that have the "Euro-style fast focus" eye piece. 4) I know it would add to the price, but a side parallax/focus would be nice.
What Others Should KnowSo far, a good scope that is holding up to my HW90 with no problems.
A very sturdy scope, nicely constructed....and beautifully bright. Love the reticule.... I am an active shooter/hunter for the past 60 years and was immediately impressed by this scope. My friends at our gun club got their first look at it a couple of days ago and it generated a lot of interest. I am already contemplating another of these scopes for a centerfire rifle but will get the model with 100 yd parallax.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing.....
What Others Should KnowThe 35 yard parallax is just right for airguns. My new scope resides on a much modified Maurader, now in .30 cal, and I am searching for Miss Piggy..... I plan to invite her home for dinner.
It's been almost an entire shooting season and well over 3,000 .22 pellets down range in my RWS-34 with this scope mounted on it. No problems, not a single one. The scope is stable and stays put, seems like the only time I adjust it is after I break the rifle down for cleaning and lubrication, then only a click or two is needed to get back in the center. I love the 30mm tube and etched reticle, bright and "contrasty". The 1-8 magnification range is no problem what so ever, (hey, we're just used to 3-9X) so don't let the power range deter you from this scope. It's a little wonder, short with plenty of eye relief, clear, and well built.
Things I Would Have ChangedFor me personally, I can live without the illuminated reticle which would bring the price down a bit.
What Others Should KnowThis scope just works. I have other, less expensive air gun scopes that do not do nearly as well as this one. For a mid power air gun scope this one is hard to beat, it's a reliable work horse.
Where to start? This is a great scope! I didn't buy it for the electronics and lighted reticle, but rather the 30mm dia. etched reticle, and magnification range. It excels well beyond my expectations in all these to the point of considering it for one of my center fire rifles. The scope is bright and clear, the etched reticle amazing, and the power range perfect for me. So far I haven't used the electronic lighted colored reticles, but I can see they may come in handy for certain situations in differing light conditions.
Things I Would Have ChangedOn/off switch could be simpler and totally separate from the spectrum switch. Focusing objective could use a lock ring or be more positive in place, I find myself resetting it between several shots. Probably not as much a problem if used on something other than a spring piston air rifle.
What Others Should KnowRead the instructions first to fully understand and appreciate the functions of this scope, it has several features ordinary scopes don't have. I wouldn't say this is a "target" scope, rather a field scope adaptable for about any conditions found under differing light situations. For me, the eye relief range doesn't seem to be a great as advertised, but maybe that's just me.

35 yard parallax. the small front bell. Its short and light weight. and the eye relief is long enough.
Things I Would Have ChangedInstead of having a bunch of colors for the illuminated reticle, I'd rather have a dimmer control. Its too bright for me. All I see is the reticle and I can't see the target. Illuminated reticles are always too bright for me.
What Others Should Knowthat 35 yard parallax should be more popular! Seriously, if you aren't aware of why 35yd parallax is ideal for airguns, you should study up. There's no need for a side wheel here. Basically, anything from 10 yds to 50 yards is well enough in focus to shoot accurately when you have 35 yard parallax.
