As with most plastic pistol cases, it's sturdy when latched, plus top and bottom rigid when depressed. And the most likeable feature are the pair of pre-latching, male-female, circular alignment guides. And found that the loose fit foam liners can be tipped back (or lifted up) to store, for example, your pistol instructs and other "want-to-keeps" for it.
Things I would have changed:And as an upgrade, would like to see some pistol case manufacturer offer a more robust case, using combination polymer and metal to provide more durable latches and hinges made of metal. These plastic, single-molded cases offer the minimum when it comes to safety, protection, and transport.
What others should know:And recommend storing the pistol wrapped in a shooter's cloth of sorts, as oil can be absorbed by the porous foam, and possibly causing the foam in contact to deteriorate. Also, make sure that after proper placement of the cloth on the bottom half's foam, that you also depress the cloth into some of the foam's recessed cavities where the gun will lie, For in doing so, the bulging pressure of the stored gum created will be minimized, saving the "cheapy latches" from the damaging effects of the more extreme tension that I found is created with a firmly rag-wrapped pistol.
