I bought this rack a few weeks ago when we decided to go to one car and that one car would be an SUV. If you have a straight bar connecting seat post to handlebars, this rack is great. I bought the 3-bone version with the idea of hauling as many as two bikes at a time. The rack is easy to assemble, easy to install and uninstall and it tilts to allow access to the hatchback cargo area. The only concern I have is for the "Mountain bikes" my grandsons have which are more of a step over/through design. In those instances mounting and dismounting the bikes is a lot more tedious.
My Saris 3 Bones Bike Rack that I just purchased broke with 2 regular MTB & 1 Jetson e-bike while driving on I-17 @ 70 mph & was incredibly dangerous & scary!!! I had a Saris bike rack that I purchased back in 2006 & was sturdy & made of serious metal and had no problems! This rack is light but is made of plastic material and couldn’t support the bikes on the highway which was under construction and very rocky while driving. It was very stressful and could have been really bad. Would like a refund for sure. : (
I’ve had the three bike / hitch mount version for about five years. I use it twice a week with a single 15# carbon road bike. Constantly needs retightening.
I've had a Bones Trunk mount rack for 10+ years. Converted it from a 2 to a 3 and it rolls on our Jeep for event rides. I bought a Audi S5 convertible and won't put any rubber feet on the trunk. Had a stealth hitch installed married it to the Bones Hitch rack. Sweet! So easy to mount and no worrying about mounting straps, etc. It is the bomb!!

Very cool/simple design makes this rack very flexible and fit many vehicles. I have used it several times with two bikes and it is very stable and holds bikes tight. It seems like it will last a long time. I would buy it again.

OK. So I'm 70 years old and not really strong enough to handle those big, heavy hitch racks. This works really well. Not too heavy but well built. Straps are easy to secure and loosen (even better than the old Bones I still have after 20 years). The distance from the vehicle to the bike frame prevents scratching the paint, though I do use a bungee cord to secure the front wheel. The hitch sways just a bit but I did not even notice I had it attached once I got going. Would recommend.
