Description
The folks at Steambow (Austria) have given a modern twist to some centuries-old technology, thanks to the new AR-6P 6-shot repeating crossbow pistol.
Equipped with an integrated laser and a removable foregrip, it's easy to steady your shots and follow up quickly, thanks to quick lever cocking system and its six-shot magazine. This also allows you to store the pistol crossbow ready to use – something not possible with previous pistol crossbows.
The manufacturer reports maximum velocities up to 220 fps using 104gr projectiles and a maximum energy of 12.66 fpe using 157gr bolts. So, it's a serious tool capable of humanely taking small game.

With the broadheads, this little thing can actually deliver nearly 13 ft-lbs energy (with hunting prod/limbs) and that's nothing to sneeze at -- so little critters beware!

Tech Tip: When loading hunting bolts into the magazine, align the blades horizontally. If the blades are positioned vertically, there is a chance they can damage the string during the reloading/cycling process.

My bad for waiting years to leave feedback, I didn't use it at all for some time, but I have now and love it! I'd bet it's safe to assume the newer version is at least as good! Easy loading and cocking. Laser site is awesome. Great feel in hands and love the forend bar.
Things I Would Have ChangedMake it collapsible somehow, so it doesn't take up so much room in all three dimensions. Perhaps the bow itself could be made to be removable without too much trouble?
What Others Should KnowIt's a deadly weapon, not unlike a firearm in that sense, period, and it's silent up until the bolt is launched. But it's super fun and everyone loves reusable ammo! Just give it the proper respect it deserves. It's not a toy.
