Barnett HyperGhost Crank Cocking Device (CCD)

I put this on my crossbow and it doesn't take 93 % of the pressure off like is advertised.

It gets the job done. Kind of cheap material compared to how expensive the bow and bolts are. No place to put the handle so it can easily get lost just like anything else. It’s not as easily crank as I thought definitely have to use two hands. If the “on/off” switch is not right you can seriously injure yourself. The rod you attach the hooks to for storing comes loose just about every time.

A must have if you are shooting more than once in a while. I want to make sure I am very proficient every year before hunting season, so I shoot a lot year round. This makes cocking the 405 a lot easier. Best I can compare it to is pulling a very large catfish up from the bottom of the lake. seriously thought they should have included this with the crossbow. At full retail this product is over priced, but as stated earlier necessary if you plan to shoot a lot.

Retaining pin broke almost immediately. Cocking string broke shortly thereafter. No luck trying to get replacement parts. Expensive paperweight.

I've had this only for a few months, and the string failed. With the high price of this unit, this type of failure with so little use is inexcusable.

My wife bought me this crank system, and after owning it for a few months and hunting with it a few times the string failed at about 2/3 pull. The thing seems well designed but junk if it fails and causes injury. Yet another of a long list component failures on my hyperghost. I regret owning Barnett products.

Cranking works great however the latching block is too hard to press in and the storage pin for the cord hooks is too flimsy and weak. The pin snaps after first or second use.
