Description
The UTG Accushot SWAT Riflescope delivers multi-range magnifications ideal for short, close-quarters, medium field, and extended long range target distances. The 30mm tube and multi-coated lenses offer the maximum in light transmission and edge to edge clarity. With its matching MOA reticle and turrets, enjoy faster dialing in of shots, resulting in less time spent fiddling with the turrets and more time looking through the scope. The etched glass UMOA range estimating reticle has 2 MOA increments for intuitive calculations, holdovers, and leads. The EZ-TAP illumination system has red/green dual color mode plus 36 colors in the multi-color mode. All of those configurations accommodate anything Mother Nature delivers in terms of weather and lighting conditions, and the 1-click illumination memory feature puts you back on the last color/brightness setting you used. The side wheel adjustable turret (SWAT) allows for parallax adjustment from 10 yards to infinity. The scope has an angled sunshade that reduces glare.

5 of 5 UTG Accushot SWAT 2-16x44 AO Reviews
Well first & foremost i like the magnification range, but the reticle is my second favorite kind and well my favorite for the setup explained later. The compact design and UTG shockproof quality at it's weight. Once i got the eyepiece adjusted properly the glass & reticle were very good for the cost.
Things I Would Have ChangedAs with most UTG 30mm scopes the integrated sunshade is not good. The new OP3 glass scope has a proper sunshade but is not in 2-16 magnification. It defies logic that anyone would make any scope with a laser etched reticle and a garbage sunshade. It would be helpful to have a longer parallax turret as the scope wheels are not usable with some scope rings.
What Others Should KnowSo if you are like me and you want a yard hunting setup and you have squirrels you know the dilemma of needing open sights because acquiring a moving squirrel in most scopes can be problematic, but not this one.
Get this scope set up right and zeroed in @ 16x and back it off down at 2x and test and acquiring targets is no longer a problem.
So i know other 1-8 and 3-9 to 3-12 solutions are around, but the 2-16 can be useful and the reticle is my favorite for yard & tree use for my .22 pellet door gun. It's size and weight & magnification range make it an excellent hunting option.
I love this set up. It has everything my high dollar scopes have. Great training tool.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe glass could be better but for the price I am not complaining.
What Others Should KnowLove it being MOA. Makes it really easy to teach new shooters. The center lite reticle is excellent. Kids love it.
Reticle has fine lines that don't obscure the target. Wide range of magnification.
Things I Would Have ChangedI'm no optical engineer but I believe this scope either needs better lenses or longer and or larger configuration to handle the 8X zoom.
What Others Should KnowThis scope has fish eye effect that increases out to the edges and also increases the more you zoom out (down to 2X). It gave me a sea sickness type headache within minutes making it unusable for me and I did a return RMA the same day it was delivered.
2-16x magnification range, clear, side AO adjustment, only the aim point is illuminated (not the entire reticle like some less expensive UTG scopes)
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing so far
What Others Should KnowI put this on a 10/22 firearm after after great experiences with UTG scopes on my airguns. This is a great scope and makes me wonder why some people spend $2K+ on scopes...

Liked my 1st UTG (3x12 compact) so much i got 2 more, this 1 and a big 56mm for the SuMatra. This 1 is beefier but still pretty compact. I can swap all 3 scopes w/ease on Eagle Claw w/ UTG mnts, they always zero or 1 click away, its efficient. Need a dovetail to picatinny adapt to use these on Sumatra. At 1st i wernt sure bout the recticle. Now i dig it big time. I put a 80mm wheel on it, above 12 power requires >precision. My 60mm AO wheel works on the 3x12. W/out a wheel youll think the glass aint clear, the focus is there, wheel makes it easier to find. My sweet spot is on 14x, razor sharp at 175yrds and can easily, quickly use wheel to focus right to 15yrds. Like all 3 of my Etched Glass UTG better than my Hawke stuff and it was considerably >$. This scopes rocks at night w/ a green light, since its a little longer than the compact theys just enough room to mnt it on scope tube between mnts
Things I Would Have ChangedIts a good package. Rekin i could nit pick it, but thats what itd be. UTG has a buncha diff etched glass recticles, ive 3 types now and they all rock. Be nice to be able to choose, but thatd up the $. They should maybe display or advertise them better though as so one easily knows which 1 w/ out any Q...that much intel shouldnt add $
What Others Should KnowHad to shim the back w/med mounts that came w/it on Sumatra cause it has a dovetail, i used adaptor which makes it a little higher, low mounts might be ok, didnt have enough elevation, once shimmed it was fine. On the Eagle Claw its a perfect fit w/ its weaver/picatinny rail that comes on gun. Cant stand dovetail and thats one Draw back on the Sumatra which is deserving of long range glass, it easily groups slugs at 175yrd. Everything i throw lead at anymore is at least a 100y away. UMOA recticle stands alone in my new UTG collection. Its very fine w/ no mil dots and the hash marks are very thin. Only the very center illuminates. That parts cool, but took some getn used to the reticle. I wasnt sure i was gonna keep it at 1st. Swaped it bck/frth w/ another UTG and put it back on Eagle Claw, still zeroed too. Great combo. Happy shooter
