This UTG scope has an etched-glass reticle, which is superior to a wire reticle because it's etched by a laser and is much more precise. That lets you get even more accuracy from your gun. Another way that etched-glass reticles are superior to wire reticles is when they're illuminated. The etched ones show the illumination only on the reticle. It looks like the reticle is floating. Wire reticles often have a reflection of the illumination in the objective lens, which can be distracting when shooting.

At first look this is a big scope ;but don't let that get to you.look through it and you will be amazed of how clear and chrisp the view is.set it up using the correct method and you will wonder why I did not buy this in the first place .30mm tub is a no brainer I will recommend if if you can afford it.the adjustments are superb.
Things I Would Have ChangedHumm.the bubble is a bit low in the view.takes some getting used to.
What Others Should KnowThe side wheel is a must on this scope.Buy It. I used an accushot 30mm mount on my Garmo Black Fusion as the mounts it came with are picatinny /weaver. there is a small over lap at the recoil rail end .you will get accstom to its weight and somehow it just don't matter.having funn I guess.
Excelent product
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing
big scope...great glass...put it on a custom built very modded nitro piston that has destroyed 9 scopes less than a year...400 plus shots still holding zero..i say buy it if you don't mind the size...5 stars in my book...
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing...
What Others Should KnowNo scope has lasted more than a hundred shots out of this gun...hits like a hammer...this scope holding up so far after 400 plus shots
The scope tracts nice
Things I Would Have ChangedClear optics
What Others Should KnowBought two both were defective
It's easy to mount, easy to sight in, has great viewable area, the zoom and focus are easy to use.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe light up feature is a little dull and it's large and does add a significant amount of weight to the gun.
What Others Should KnowOverall a great value for a scope and it does the job very well.
The scope is decent for the price point. The first one I received had the misaligned reticle like others had mentioned. Spoke with PA customer service and they said to return it and they sent out a new one. This one was aligned correctly. Many mentioned the bubble is difficult to see and it truly is for me also. I tried what one reviewer said and that worked perfectly. Just turn on the color reticle and bam the bubble level lights up bright and clear. You can reduce the brightness of reticle to its lowest setting which is almost black again and the bubble remains illuminated. The glass is what you get at this price and at full zoom the blurry view many mentioned is easily corrected using the SWAT wheel AO turret. That's what it meant for to fix the blur and parallax. Use it!
Things I Would Have ChangedI got the limited time free SWAT wheel with my purchase. It's the one meant specifically for the Bubble level scope. The wheel works well but does have some wobbles as stated by others. There not an easy fix for this. UTG should design and build their wheels with 3 off set allen set screws like other scope brands to stabilize and firm up the wheel. Only down side for the scope is its heavy and long. Would like a lighter and shorter version of the bubble level scope.
What Others Should KnowBuy the scope. It works wonderfully. When setup correctly it is an added aid when shooting. I put this on my Hatsan Gladius .25 cal. It's a bit challenging to get the bubble level to remain level while tightening the included scope rings. But thats based off only my first time ever setting up a scope with an internal level. Turret adjustments are small and precise which enabled me to tune my zero less than 1/4 in. Mostly hole in hole accuracy.
This is a great scope for the price they are asking. It ships with 30mm pic rail rings too. That was a real bonus for me because I had ordered rings to go with it and missed the 30mm detail and had 1". My bad. Scope is very clear and bright. I am using this on a Benjimin Marauder. Scope caps are another bonus. Order the sidewheel to go with it, not only does it look good, it is very effective and handy. I will buy more of these scopes.
Things I Would Have ChangedI dont know if the color selection for crosshairs is a big deal. But I'm not unhappy with it. Change, nothing.
What Others Should KnowYour money well spent on this product.
If this isn't a single-person start-to-finish product from UTG, I'll be amazed. It has none of the drawbacks of a previous UTG scope, plus the added feature of an in-sight line bubble leveler. I've seen many reviews that knock the leveler for not being true, but my experience is that the scope rings were the problem... at least in the latest shipped unit.. I love the scope for its clarity, the aforementioned bubble leveler and the precise adjustments that take effect immediately on my TX. If I had a recorder that only tagged my voice when 4 or more pellets went through the same hole at 27 yards, the internet would still not car, but for me, and other enthusiasts, this is big news. Having one less opportunity for error with the bubble leveler in the scope picture made me realize just how much rifle cant affects the shot.. I had an add-on bubble level on my last scope but through my own laziness rarely consulted its input . This scope really sets the bar for optics and adjustments
Things I Would Have ChangedThe windage and elevation locks are a bit heavy, but the trade is that they work and I'm not finding the locks floating and wondering if I had screwed them down last time... when the shot went awry. I do shoot a springer - TX - so even with moderate back and forth recoil, this scope seems well able to handle the job.
What Others Should KnowI drive a good distance from my home in Colorado (elev 6000 feet) to close to 9500 feet for extended UNINTERRUPTED shooting fun, so your experience may be different (bears not included). The gun feels slightly more harsh at that altitude, perhaps due to the thin air and I expect that the results extend to the lower half of the Troposphere but have no way of knowing. That said, this same scope at lower altitudes and with smoother end-shot cushioning should perform as well or better than the results I've described. Adjustments on the scope are light to the touch and almost immediate in their result, so you can leave your maple knocker at home - this thing does the job without having to run a half-dozen rounds through the gun to see results. Did I mention the bubble leveler? Game changer.
Clear, nice bright optics. Side focus. The free side focus wheel.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe way the focusing wheel is mounted, not very secure.
What Others Should KnowNice scope for reaching out to far away precise targets, especially for old eyes.

For the price these UTG scopes are built fairly well. All the parts function as they should.
Things I Would Have ChangedIn the manufacturing end of the business, I would acquire and use raw materials that can handle serious temperature extremes. The scope click calibration has to remain the same regardless of temperature, even if there's an "equalization" period, it has to be the same after drastic temperature changes.
What Others Should KnowFor those who live in extremely cold climates (Wisconsin) like I do, your scope has to hold its zero and scope click calibration in order to be of value. I'm unsure if 'every' UTG scope has this problem, but the one I bought had it bad. If it weren't for that, and I lived in a more temperate zone, I would have kept the scope because it was very accurate above 45 degrees or so.
