I am hear to confirm this stock does indeed fit the older Hw77s with no problem. So this is a excellent option for someone wanting to upgrade from the old monty carlo hunter style stock to a more comfortable ambidextrous chunk of wood. Looks to be a good walnut with a darker than this picture (see my uploaded one) figure and very nice stippling on the pistol grip and forend for a firm hold. This features an adjustable butt pad so you can optimize the height for your shooting comfort. With a few coats of lemon or linseed oil and some good paste wax to follow up you will have a beautiful stock for your Hw77/97 platform.
Things I would have changed:Nothing! Perfect as arrived but it would be nice if they included a replacement set of screws. That is all I can think of.
What others should know:You will be quite pleased with this stock and the quality of the hardwood.

I purchased my HW77K two years ago with the laminate stock. I'm curious about putting this target stock version on it. Does anyone have any comments on whether the HW77K's action will fit into this stock? Much appreciated!

What is the dimension in mm of the adjustable butt plate??
Dose Gene know if this stock will fit the older 1980's HW77's with the 25mm compression tube? (I think the OD is the same)

It's a nice looking stock other than the wrong butt pad which I'll change immediately.
Things I would have changed:After being told by Pyramyd air this stock had the aluminium adjustable butt pad as in the photo I received the stock and it DOES NOT have the aluminum version, but plastic. Please give accurate discriptions of items, especially a $399.99 stock. Not pleased.
