MADE IN THE USA! Seriously, I looked at the chinese knockoffs for $30 to $40, but bought this to support workers here at home. Thank you UTG for keeping manufacturing in this country. As for the product itself, money well spent. Very solid, no wobble or sign of being loose once installed. Cant and swivel features work great. The legs extend very easily with a quick turn and lock into place. Adjusting the leg angle is fast and easy. This is a much nicer design than others. No plastic on this bipod! Looks fantastic. At the bench, my groups have actually improved using this.

A throw lever to install and remove would be convenient when in the field.

If your looking for a bipod with both swivel and cant, this is the one.

Solid all metal with good adjustments. It takes a little time to understand how it works but this is a very good bipod made in the USA.

nothing

It works great on anything from AR's to air guns.

I've owned other UTG bipods before (i.e., the Recon 360), and I will say that the build quality on this bipod is on another level compared to the Recon 360. It's very solid and the machining is like what I would expect from a bipod costing twice as much. The leg extension/retraction system is very smooth (and clever). The leg positioning is also very smooth with a firm solid feel when the leg is in the desired position.

The tensioner is a bit tight, but not a big problem. It tightens up the panning head nicely.

I've never seen build quality like this from UTG. I don't think you can go wrong with this one.

I would like full info. For instance, will the detents wear quickly and dump a gun off the table like the Recon 360 is famous for? Will if fully lock in position with the pan and tilt. The Recon was terrible in this respect. What is the distance between the pads (feet) wen fully extended? Hello! These are things we need to know! I had to pony up the money to purchace a Accu Tac to replace the very poor quality of the Recon 360. Was it expensive, Yes it was. But no where near as the expense it cost me when the Recon 360 dumped a very expensive (2000.00+ air gun off the bench when the detents failed. I repaired it, and it later dumped another persons AG off the bench as well. I hammered it into unrecognizable scrap!.

give real, and fully usable info on this new offering. TNBR stands for The best Never Sleeps. Really, are they finally waking up? Never could get in touch with UTG to return the faulty product.

Im not sure which version of the UTG Recon 360 Bipod you tried but Mine has the ability to lock the legs In multiple angles going fully forward and also backwards and as I stated In the other comment Mine has two flat head screws on either side of the Panning ball joint. Now they have a lever to control the panning which seems more convenient but they seemed to do away with the backward leg positions which are very useful. For Instance , one example Is If you have a light/laser combo out front and the legs can't be closed In the forward position, you could close them In the rear position.

As I said, the only minor annoyance Is the two flat head screws controlling the panning feature. This Is easily remedied by tightening both, until you can still pan the gun but It won't uncontrollably cant to the left or right. Mine has multiple positions for the leg angles to go fully forward or backward. The detents and spring loaded push tabs are positive/tight still 1 year later and after much use. I use It a few times a week, still no Issues. When I adjust the height, I don't just loosen the thumb wheels and yank the legs out/down. This WILL wear out the detents surely!! Your supposed to loosen the thumb wheels THEN DEPRESS and HOLD the spring loaded tab and slide the leg down. Then release the tab and tighten the thumb wheel and repeat for the other side. Also, the thumb wheels can be used to lock the legs at variable heights and not just In the pre slotted heights. The models available now replaced the two flathead screws for a lever to tighten panni

Clearly you did something wrong or had a faulty Product regarding the UTG Recon 360 bipod. I've had mine for a year and never had any Issues with It "Dumping a gun off a table?!!" How did you manage that one? Besides this UTG TBNR Bipod, The UTG Recon 360 Is pretty much the best, most feature packed, convenient and most solid Chinese bipod you can buy. The Only annoyance was If the two flat head nuts for the panning feature weren't tightened down, then The gun could shift/can't all the way to the right/left as well as angle more front to back. You claimed the detents were worn. Which detents? The detents for the angle of leg positions or the detents controlling height? Even If the detents for the height were worn out, If used properly with the thumb wheels then It could never retract, Unless your product was faulty. Furthermore, I've never heard anyone else having this problem If used correctly. Tighten the thumb wheels after you adjust the height, common sense.

By the way, I think it is a bit unfair to leave a review for a product you haven't personally tried.

I purchased 4 of these to put on various airguns that I own. The build quality is amazing and above anything I've seen from UTG before. The Recon 360 feels like a toy compared to this model. The pan and tilt tightens up very nicely (the tensioner is a bit tight, but it does it's job.) The leg extension/retraction system is cleverly simple and smooth. The legs also lock into place with a detent-locking system, so it's not just friction based. I don't think you could have the same issue with this model that you had with the Recon 360. Just my 2 cents.
