5 of 5 Bravo 1892 Lever-Action Gas Airsoft Rifle Reviews
This rifle is heavy and very realistic in the feel and operation. Gas capacity is very good and power is adequate. The stock is plastic but looks like real wood. This rifle is alot of shooting fun for the money.
Things I Would Have ChangedLoading BBs is accomplished with a loading tool that inserts into the loading port. Loading BBs into this rifle without the tool is almost impossible. This is not a big deal but it would be nice to be able to load the BBs on the move.
What Others Should KnowMy rifle did not come with an owners manual. I had to watch a video on U-tube to see how the rifle is loaded and where the gas injector port is located. I called Pyramydair and they checked with their distributor who advised them the rifle does not have a manual. In watching the video on U-tube they showed a manual included with the rifle they unpacked in the video. The manual would be helpful with the operation and in ordering parts at a later date. The folks at Pyramydair are great and I am totally happy with my purchase.
First off this a really fun gun to shoot. As mentioned in another review the action is smooth and it is fairly accurate. So far I've used it for a two-day in-game test with which I used properly oiled propane and .28g bbs. I was surprised with the range and accuracy as well as the consistency of shots. From what I've seen there should be plenty of room to use bbs up to .40g bbs although in my opinion that would be unnecessary. And I honestly forgot that this wasn't real wood while playing.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe seals on this gun are not the greatest. After my first volley of tests the gun began to leak near the back of the back of the gas chamber. This was easily remedied by removing the forward hand guard and wrapping the area well in Teflon tape before putting it back together. Although, keep in mind doing any modification will void warranty. This is however a common problem with this gun and it should be expected.
What Others Should KnowMine required some modification to fix the hammer and seals not long after getting this gun out to test fire.
It is recommended that players have some experience doing tech work on guns because this will likely require a bit of initial maintenance to get it skirmish worthy (which it can be).
Looks very closely authentic. Works like a lever-action is supposed to. Load capacity twice before gas is gone. It beats the price of the Walther lever-action .177.
Things I Would Have ChangedFill the plastic stock parts to make them a bit heavier -- gun is a little light. Make the barrel bands more secure to hold the magazine tube and barrel tighter, so they don't twist. Make it so the front sight is higher so that elevation on the rear sight can be used.
What Others Should KnowShoots the BBs very fast. Tried the .20's and .40's but the hop up makes it shoot very flat -- too flat! Hop up adjustment didn't seem to affect anything. I can't bring the rear sight down any further but it still shoots high at any range. I am using propane w/silicone lube from bottle with adapter (stinks, so use when the air is moving away from you). BTW, can't use it on the Crosman Airsoft Target Board (the sticky targets) because it is too powerful -- the BB's bounce off after punching a hole in the goo. It beats the price of the Walther lever-action .177.
Authentic in every detail.Smooth lever action.Side port loading.Good capacity loads (25). Open ejection port. Firm, clean breaking trigger.Weight/balance.Full metal construction. Very good quality plastic stock & forend. BRASS BUTT PLATE!Saddle ring and flip up adjustible rear sight. Takes Green gas, propane and 134-A (duster)gas.Very good accuracy.
Things I Would Have ChangedOffer the wood stock version. Add scope adapter.
What Others Should KnowBetween the demise of the Daisy 1894 and the expence of the Walther Lever action ($400!) what's a lever lover to do! Here's your answer. @$185 + free shipping here at Pyramyd the Bravo 1892 fills the bill and exceeds expectations. True lever action takes the BB from the spring fed tube magazine below the barrel and lifts it to the firing chamber while sliding back the ejection port which in turn cocks the hammer for single action shooting. All metal construction gives good weight and balance. Flip up adjustable rear sight and brass butt plate are authentic details. Loading is accomplished via a tube speed loader that fits into the right side loading port.Takes a little practice.
Gas is loaded through the front of the tube magazine via an inlet valve cleverly hidden by a removable cap just below the muzzle. Holds a lot of gas. Speaking of gas this baby delivers blistering FPS with propane and green gas. I've only used 134-A duster which puts less stress on the internals and it was still able to put a .3 BB 2" into an apple @ 5M. Plenty hot enough for indoor target practice (VG accuracy w/heavy weight BB's). Maybe too hot and complex (fragile) for wars but a must for collectors ,plinkers and any one who wants the real steel but finds ownership, cost and usage prohibitve.Buy this gun and start picking off beer bottle bison & Coke can Comanches but don't try any of that Chuck Connors rapid fire or swing cocking. Its not built for that.

The only thing I admired about this gun is its sights. But even those lacked some quality as the rear site would sometimes not sit down flush on the screw.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe metal on this gun is very brittle, not reliable what so ever. The imitation wood is very hallow and plastic sounding but does look good. The hop up adjustment screw is very very brittle and easy to break. Mine was defective as the bbs were flying every which way (mostly hard left). But even after thoroughly looking through the barrel and hop-up, I could not find what was causing such horrible accuracy. Also a full fill of gas only lasted me about 20 bbs before the fps began to drop. The cocking lever is also a bit wobbly.
What Others Should KnowFor 185 dollars I expected much better quality out of this gun especially reading and seeing some very good reviews on youtube. I most likely just got a bad one but even if it did have stunning accuracy and range like so many have claimed, it's not worth the 185 dollars simply due to its poor quality materials and design. I would not recommend this at all.
