Gamo Swarm Maxxim Air Rifle
Benefits of IGT over Spring Piston:
Breakbarrels are among the most popular airguns purchased by shooters who are getting serious about airgunning. They're powerful, accurate and consistent right out of the box - but repeating shots? Forget it! Over the years there have been many failed attempts. The last time anyone made a successful go at it was over 10 years ago with the Diana 300R Air Rifle.
The Swarm “breaks” (see what we did there?) into the market with an elegant solution, never before achieved by airgun manufacturers - a breakbarrel with a 10 shot rotary magazine that slaps a round into the chamber every time you cock the barrel. Did we mention this gun is fast? With a mere 30lb cocking effort you’ll quickly find the ability to fire repeating shots without a single shot reload can be pretty addicting! You’ll wonder how you ever managed to keep sane loading one pellet at a time!
The Swarm Maxxim maintains a consistent velocity of 1300 fps in .177 and 975 fps in .22 caliber (yes, yes, using the lead-free light ammo). As a gas-piston, this gun is easier to cock, operates in cold weather and has less recoil - a feature enhanced by the Shock Wave Absorber recoil pad. A 3-9x40 scope is included and mounts onto Gamo's Recoil Reducing Rail (RRR) 11mm Dovetail, built to reduce recoil stress on your new optics. These features combined with the all-weather synthetic stock and Whisper Maxxim sound reduction system, make this airgun ideal for small game hunters and those who want more target practice and less reload time - especially if you grab an extra magazine.
Is a quiet breakbarrel that spits out 10 shots as fast as you can cock it “just another breakbarrel”? You be the judge!

Things I liked: Great power, accuracy and function.
Things I would have changed: Nothing.
Things I liked: Good light weight rifle, the magazine is excellent, 10 easy shots in quick order, Most accurate .22 I have at 20 and 30 yards. I like the fact that the Gamo scope that came with the gun was not an AO scope. Most of the AO scopes I have that came as a combination did not function well. I love this gun.
Things I would have changed: I would add iron sights to this gun. Also include 2 magazines instead of one.
What others should know: My Swarm likes Crosman premier domed ultra magnum 14.3gr pellets.
Things I liked: I have this gun for over a year I have both the .22 and .177 shot well over 1000 rounds each gun .flawless haven't have a jam yet.thinking of getting the new swarm fox.just because of gen2 .and magazine.
Things I would have changed: Could give a better scope.but I put new scope on all my guns any ways .
What others should know: For the price you are getting the best bang for your buck .at to me it is. I be getting the new fox soon.everyting else out there is not quite as good.proxima cost alot more synagis the mag falls off .crosman magfire after cocking have to bolt action to load .for people that cry about this gun.go get yourself a better one.but there isn't any at the price .to me this is the closest to a PCP. I have move freedom too.

How is the Swarm de-tuned to 495 fps in Canada
A reduced power gas piston is installed in the gun at the factory.
They say H&M target trophy is great for this gun the .22 cal , Just trying to figure out what pellet head size is best for this gun or what is the diameter of the channel inside the barrel that would be also helpful to decide, Thank you.
I have the 177 cal Swarm and want to know which bipods can I use with this model beside the gamo one? Haven't heard good reviews of it plus I don't like it holds the barrel not the stock.
Break barrel guns have to have the bipod mounted on the barrel. The fore stock is too weak to support a bipod.
