5 of 5 Kral Arms Puncher Jumbo PCP Air Rifle Reviews

Things I Would Have ChangedRegulate the gun.
What Others Should KnowThe gun is not backyard friendly. Its pretty loud.
Everything. This is a very classy shooter. I believe Kral Arms could have priced it much higher. Lots of power and air capacity. Multi-shot. Excellent Walnut stock. Lots of accuracy right out of the box after installing a scope. Is moderator-ready with a 1/2-20 thread and protector on the end of the barrel. This is a lot of airgun for the price.
Things I Would Have ChangedKral should think about standardizing the filler port and adapter. I would beef up the side-lever, although it works just find and has a very smooth action. Kral should think about improving the magazine that is standard for this rifle. Pellets are able to slide backwards and can cause jams if you are not careful. Need to not tip the gun vertically to prevent pellets from sliding back in the magazine. Not a biggie, but be aware.
What Others Should KnowI love this airgun but mine developed a critical leak a few weeks after the rifle arrived (could happen to any airgun). I really enjoyed using the Jumbo but ultimately replaced it with a Kral Arms Puncher Pro 500. I would have gladly taken a direct replacement if PA was not out of stock at the time. The Pro 500 is essentially the same rifle as the Jumbo but with a bigger cylinder and a slightly classier walnut stock. This shooting machine has the look, feel and performance of much more expensive airguns. It's not an FX, but it sure feels like one and I think you'll agree that it performs just as well after you use one.
Beautiful Wood and overall look of the Air Rifle. Trigger is pretty good as shipped, only tiny adjustment for me required. Accuracy with various pellets is very good out to 50+ yards. Not pellet picky with various JSB or H & N.
Things I Would Have ChangedPower ports could be a little bit bigger to accommodate the heavier pellets for longer ranges however, accuracy is very good out to 60 yards. Wood could have a little finer finish, just a bit rough with sharp edges of cut areas. Will refinish myself to a very fine finish with rounder edges. Kral Air connector is difficult to get off the fill stem. Recommend go to Std. Male Foster connector used on may other guns. Will change or modify mine.
What Others Should KnowExcellent Air Rifle for the money. If you are handy and enjoy tinkering it can be a superb gun to own. Not bad out of the Box.
I was totally impressed with quality of stock and finish, except where shroud attaches to receiver, just a little rough. It shoot amazingly well, dime groups at 50 yards. action very smooth. trigger adjustment a little difficult, but factory setting pretty close to perfect.
Things I Would Have ChangedMag filling directions suck. but after a few reloads becomes easy. the case comes with it leaves something to desire, but is ok. web site states spare O-rings included, yet to fine them, but haven't needed them yet, bout 1000 rounds.
What Others Should KnowI shoot with my brother who has a Day state, lots of bells and whistles, but for the money the Kral. the Kral shoots just as well. found it likes the 18 or 19 gr pellets at 3/4 setting about 750 fps. i get 60-70 rounds per charge, starts dropping at 100 bars, but shoots well down to 50 bars

Couldn't ask for much more in a $550 pcp! Accuracy; 5/8" 10 shot groups at 50 yards Power; 40 fpe in 25 cal max power with 25.39 JSB's (its favorite pellet or at least it is mine) Build Quality; Mmmm, it's very nice, but not perfect. That dang shroud, honestly, my only issue. Otherwise looks like a slighty cheaper FX Crown in walnut. The stock is beautiful, though it may need some oil or something. Looks very matte (kinda like it though)
Things I Would Have ChangedThe shroud, it looks cheap with the edges being wider than the action.
What Others Should KnowIt's quite pellet picky, and I have had little luck with slugs so far. Need to try NSA slugs still, but it may not have enough power for them.
Oh, and this can be hand pumped, but it's a pain in the rear.
