Mostly worked
Things I would have changed:Better quality control.
What others should know:Threads on bolt knob were not right and could not be screwed in to bolt. I ended up using an actual bolt for a knob.

Makes it possible to mount optics on the pistol, feels more solid than stock polymer breech.
Things I would have changed:Pellets are awkward to load with scope mounted over top of open breech, there is less room for your fingers.
What others should know:Instructions could be better. It wasn't clear from them that the rear screw needs to be replaced with the slightly shorter screw in the breech kit if you are removing the rear open sight. Otherwise the screw interferes with the hammer spring and gun won't cock. However, this breech replacement is an easy modification to make.

Good design and fit, easy installation.
Things I would have changed:Nothing comes to mind.
What others should know:The thread on the bolt was apparently tight, tapered, and fairly short so some care installing it is required.

WAS EASY TO INSTALL.
Things I would have changed:NOTHING
What others should know:THE PRODUCT IS GOOD BUT IT TOOK ME 3 MONTHS TO GET THIS ITEM. IF IT WEREN'T FOR RUTH, I DON'T KNOW IF I WOULD HAVE EVER GOTTEN IT.
4.0 4.0
2.0 2.0
able to attach scope to the receiver
Things I would have changed:Supply the right mounting instructions for your gun. The one that comes with it is not for the NP pistol and actually confusing. This really should come with the gun or at least available as an add on from the factory
What others should know:I cut off the the rail extension to get it out of the wayn and cleanup the installation

Can mount optics Much sturdier feel to pistol
Things I would have changed:Allow same iron sights to be used
What others should know:Watch the videos Careful of the breech screw, can strip easily

Nice solid receiver for my 2289 backpacker. Easy to install, good instructions.Able to mount a scope on the gun now.(was going to mount a Bushnell trophy red dot, but the rings are for a weaver mount)
Things I would have changed:1.Make it possible to remount iron sights or machine a dovetail to facilitate mounting aftermarket sights or 2.Make part of the receiver a weaver/picatiny mount.. 3.or include an 11 mm/3/8" dovetail to Weaver adapter.
What others should know:Be careful not to dislodge transfer port and seal when installing.

Gives barrel a little more stability and acuracy. Glad you guys at PA carry it. Its nice to have one stop shopping on some of the more popular crosman parts.
Things I would have changed:Nothing
What others should know:Best add on for your 1322 or 2240 platform.

I like Metal not plastic,I like the fact that I can scope it now, It was fairly easy to install( read the instructions), looks good and didn't harm the accuracy. Now I would like a longer barrel and a silencer to remove the fairly loud report. That is for another review. Overall I like this Steel Breech Kit.
Things I would have changed:I can't think of anything. ( When I think too much, I fall asleep)
What others should know:Read the instructions and don't over tighten the fasteners.

Is a lot more sturdy and stable than the oringinal plastic receiver. And it provides mounting rails for a scope or red dot sight.
Things I would have changed:Like another review by Joe my bolt slot was not properly cut and the forward part was too tight and would not let the bolt slide forward and engage with the slot prior to firing. Rather than deal with returning it I got out the Dremel and grinder tip and 10 minutes of grinding enlarged the slot enough to allow the bolt to slide well.
What others should know:Poor quality control on this batch. Check it before you install it on your gun.

The bolt / bolt slot was not properly cut - either the slot or the bolt handle was the wrong size. The bolt would not open all the way nor lock shut. Unfortunately I broke it trying to make it work (the bolt). When I called Pyramyd, I was informed that I needed to speak with Crosman - it was not Pyramyds responsibility
Things I would have changed:Better product, better customer service

Steel breech is the recommended way to mount a good scope. This was fairly easy to install and provides a solid mount.
Things I would have changed:nothing
What others should know:Instructions are fine print and not that easy to follow. PA sent me link to youtube video for installation. That was a huge help. Biggest challenge was my old eyes and tiny grub screws.

The price was the best I found,Shipping was fast installation easy. It adds quite a bit of weight to my gun.
Things I would have changed:I believe that a rear sight should be included, or at least the ability to reuse the old sight

the steel breech fit tighter than factory ,& gives it a better look
Things I would have changed:I had to drill a hole for my 2289g backpacker , would like to see hole factory machined for all guns for easier installation .

I actually liked the brass bolt on the original gun. But once I got used to this one it is no different. I would recommend every person who is going to have the gun upgrade right from the start. This part should really be part of the original gun.
Things I would have changed:Add some sort of rear sight. Even if it is a fixed integral groove or something at least it gives the shooter some sort of option to get shooting other than making further purchases. When you get this in the mail and realize that you don't have a scope ring in your house you are pretty much sitting with a new toy and no way to use it.
What others should know:No sight comes with this. I know they say it in the description but it is important enough to say over and over.

Easy to install using youtube vids. Good quality and adds stability.
Things I would have changed:Paper directions were unreadable. Copy of a copy of a copy etc.

It's steel, I can get rid of that bad OE sight.
Things I would have changed:Better instructions. If you don't understand the concept you'll have a hard time with the instructions. Although it only took a couple of minutes to do.
What others should know:I think it helps with the overall balance of the pistol as well.

Robust solid construction, longer than original plastic breech, built in rail, creates the opportunity to run many more rear open sights, holds the barrel more steadily, actually has a barrel set screw, parts look and feel like high quality.
Things I would have changed:The plug that goes in after the bolt is not made to fit tight inside the breech. Even when the rear screw is in and torqued the plug still easily moves. I very much wish there was an option to choose between this blued finish and a polished finish, the finish on my bolt (which isn't the same blued finish that the rest of the breech is) is already wearing away after 150 shots.
What others should know:My kit only came with one out of the two Allen Keys pictured.

quality, easy installation, adds the ability for scope or other types of sights. I like the way its a little heavier in the hand.
Things I would have changed:better instructions that could be read, I'd like to see one in a left handed version for right handed people.
What others should know:this is one mod that is a welcomed sight, better than the plastic that comes on the gun, better scope mounting also. When screwing the bolt handle in use a little blue Loctite.
