Some background first, I am both military (National Guard) and LEO firearms instructor and serve on the SWAT team. My firearms experience extends over 30 years, and I present this as a reference of experience only. With that said I can say I am blown away by the quality, accuracy and ergonomics of the 400E. We have tried to use non-powder alternatives in training for years, but none met the requirements or had the durability necessary for serious use. That is until now. I received my 400E as a Christmas present and thought I had received a nice toy for plinking cans off the back deck. Boy, was I wrong about the potential of this product. Over the past two weeks it has gone through field and CQB training, the shoot house and accuracy competitions out to 50 yards. I have yet to find an issue. The recoil is light but noticeable when not using body armor. Trigger is exceptional and the ability to mount my Aimpoint and EOTEC sights, MAGPUL foregrips, lights, lasers etc. makes this an exceptional training tool. We have not used it for rapid mag changes as I am afraid to break the bb follower in the mag, but it has been through every possible scenario. Will this replace a firearm? No, but as a low-cost training alternative I know of none better. And did I mention it is just fun as heck to shoot and accurate. I have shot .5" in the supported prone position at 30 yards and golf balls at 50 yards. One caution, DO NOT USE THIS FOR ANY FORCE-ON-FORCE training, use PPE and eye pro and use the same range safety protocols you would use with a powder burner. I was so satisfied I ordered the 1100Z as my first PCP rifle. Can't wait to see what Barra comes up with next.

What a gun did not dissapoint I was on the fence but i make the right decision

This gun is amazing. The build quality is top notch. It looks like a real automatic rifle. It is so fun to shoot and knowing that i do not have to buy Co2 cartridges, i can shoot to my hearts content. However, with my copy, i can't seem to hit anything using the iron sights but after buying and calibrating a red dot sight, this gun is accurate. Did i mention it has automatic mode? That mode is crazy fun. I'd say, if you are having second thoughts about this, don't. Just do it. It is happiness guaranteed!

My wife bought this for me for Christmas. The 400E looks and feels real and it is accurate. She laughed about a grown man wanting to spend this amount on a BB gun. Now we go plinking from our porch and trade guns, her pink lever action and my TOTAL AUTOMATIC!

I have had the gun for a little over two weeks and love it. Have shot several thousand rounds and not one jam or other issue. Easy added a red dot sight and wow! A machine gun I can use in my back yard. Having a blast destroying cans, two-liter bottles of pop, and various trash floating by in the river. I'm going to see if I can wear this thing out, then I'll buy another one. Everyone I've let use it wants to buy one two. I think I've sold at least six of these for Barra Airguns, LOL! It really sells itself.

Meh! I bought this product because I didn't want to waste ammo on pests. Yeah, it's heavy duty to the point of being "over" engineered. It kicks the b.b.s out pretty good and I like the semi-auto mode. And then stopped at the sights, could never get them aligned, sorry bro's, no quality there. I debated on the return or getting another sight setup, and then the rifle stopped working, nothing. Changed batteries, checked the safety switch, did a little jig, nothing. Checking on the return.

It’s a little lighter than an authentic AR built tough my boy loves it. Don’t shoot it in the front yard. It looks real.

The 400e is a blast to shoot. It looks very realistic and all the controls work great. I was having a lot of fun shooting the first week that I owned the gun, unknowingly the gun jammed and I probably didn’t notice soon enough. I removed the clip and bbs came out and I thought I cleared the jam. I eventually went into town to purchase a .177 cleaning rod to clear the jam. I pushed out a bb and tried the gun again. It was no longer functioning. I contacted Barra and eventually received a reply. (3 days I think) which is what their site says. They requested more information, which I sent. Then they agreed to replace my rifle with a new one. I have now received my new rifle in just under 2 weeks time. Lesson learned, be aware of the rifle’s function at all times. I make sure I can see or hear the bbs making contact at all times. The service was 5 stars. I rated 4 stars because of the early malfunction and lack of cleaning rod.

Just purchased and received my 1st 400e airgun. I watched alot of videos and was taken by the fact of the accuracy and full electric full auto. I really didn't expect it to be this nice. All I can say is wow! Every time I pick the 400e up to shoot I have one problem, not wanting to put it down. So if purchasing make sure to get extra mags This is so well made all metal and real feel. If you are on the fence about buying don't be Its worth every penny. So much so I have a second order in now. As a extra bonus I received a reloader with the upgraded metal push rod. Another wow goes out just for that. I didn't even know Barra made that adjustment. Thanks Barra for this wonderful 400e product. I look forward to buying many more.

I bought this a while back to surprise my second oldest son. He absolutely loves this thing. Looks and feels real Good weight flip up sight and adjustable stock with the quick load magazine. So much fun on full auto!!!! Thomas Costa

I bought the E400 because I have always wanted a full auto BB gun. When I found out that Barra powered by electricity and not CO2 cartridges, I didn’t hesitate. It shipped fast and is everything I expected it to be. The weight, look, feel, and tactics are same as an AR-15. It’s a must get. Never waste $ on CO2 cartridges again. Worth every penny!!

Awesome BB gun. Barra has found the answer to my dream of finding a gun I can practice speed shooting competition in my basement with. Tried a highend Specna M4 airsoft, not accurate enough. The Barra 400E is the future of BB guns.

Did my homework and research on all types of guns and this ranked number one. You'll see when you have time like I did and find out its rated excellent. Couldn't be any more satisfied.

Got my gun today !! This gun has finally got me away from co2 once and for all. Only issue I’m having is finding the correct size lipo battery to fit inside the buttstock. All in all 👍👍 .

The ONLY problem I see with it is the loading of the steel BBs. You can't tell how many are in there because there's no way to see how many you've inserted with the speed loader, and sometimes the mag lets more than 1 BB out of the top, jamming the mechanism. Otherwise I love the thing. No CO2 to deal with, just recharging and that's ok. It's accurate too. I did have to slide the rear sight forward to get it sighted in, but that wasn't a big deal. It does dispatch vermin nicely and is extremely fun to plink with.

We bought this gun for our birthdays present. My wife and I can’t stop smiling ear to ear when we shoot it in full auto. We use a 2200 mAh battery and have shot around 10 mags so far and still have battery left. The only downside so far is the mag reloaded. The plunger sticks and won’t return every time unless you gently tap it on a hard surface. This appears to be just a break-in issue as it’s getting better the more we use it.

Please re- design the BB loader. It needs to be metal with a better spring loading system.
