    Things I liked:

At first sight and first touch, one can immediately see the excellent quality and incredible workmanship. Very solid gun. Have not performed any serious group shots but I shot the JSB Exact, Beeman Wadcutters and some really old Sheridan pellets. This gun was "spot on" everything I shot with the different pellet types.

    Things I would have changed:

    It's working, don't fix it. Don't change a thing.

    What others should know:

This is some serious $$ for a pellet rifle. If you can afford this kind of $$ on a pellet rifle, then I say "go for it", you won't be unhappy. Also, due to its quality, this is not the lightest pellet rifle you can put your hands on (though does not bother me).

Wow...Everything spot on right out of the box. Great quality product. Whatever you aim at, you will hit it.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing

    What others should know:

Was considering another model and manufacturer, but had questions that could not get a good answer on the web. Called Pyramyd's "ask a ..." Was surprised to find out that Tyler was a young twenty one year old that worked as a "consultant". Not to build you a Rolex, but tell you what time it is ... I listened and took his advice, and could not be more pleased with my purchase .... No buyer's remorse here.

    What others should know:

Pyramyd Air has been nothing short of excellent to deal with. Their responses, support and handling was highly customer centric. The rifle was back ordered but they kept me updated throughout. Also, unfortunately the scope started to go out of focus intermittently after ~200-300 rounds but without any hesitation, a new one was mailed before they had received the defective one so I could have it before the weekend - that is almost unheard of anymore. PA has earned my business.

    Things I liked:

This is a quality product combination from the Beeman carved wooden stock, break-barrel cocking mechanism, pellet seating and trigger to the mounted Bushnell 4-12x scope. I received the rifle in a well protected shipping carton and got 1st use results. After trying 9 different pellets, I selected the Skenco heavy long-range .22 cal. lead-free pellet. I needed only minor adjustments to the scope settings after making this pellet selection.

    Things I would have changed:

The safety is automatically set to ON when the rifle is cocked. Once the safety is taken OFF, the only way to place safety back on is to re-cock the rifle. The rifle can be re-cocked without firing.

    What others should know:

This is not a target "plinker" toy. This is a serious rifle. Pellets are delivered with lots of punch. Make sure the area beyond your target is clear. Through and through shots are common.

    Things I liked:

Size, accuracy, heft, quality, heritage. I am proud to own this quality German Air rifle. There is a flat area where a rear sight could mount, A good place to put a monogram or the name of the rifle on it. This rifle is ambidextrous. The scope is mounted on 1.5" and seem just about ideal height, good eye relief, bright and clear.

    Things I would have changed:

I should have got it sooner. I like it so much that I don't know if changing anything could make it better, maybe a bit lighter, The Bushnell Banner scope has some manufacturing irregularities on it. Double-stamped numbers on the yardage and magnifier adjustment ring that are barely noticeable.

    What others should know:

Its almost like it seeks out the target on its own, a light guiding grip and a smooth pull make shooting a pleasure. I'm including a photo of the first 16 shots I took with this rifle right out of the box. using H&N 8.8 grain Crow Magnum at 34 ft from muzzle to target. This one came ready to shoot right out of the box!

Fit, finish, accuracy, scope came mounted and sighted in at 10 meters.

    Things I would have changed:

    Not a thing.

    What others should know:

This is a follow up to my initial review of this air rifle. My yard borders a preserve and every critter imaginable comes to visit. I am OK with most of them except chipmunks. They are destroying my property and I purchased this rifle to help fix this problem. At 20 meters from my upstairs window, I have already dispatched two of them. All I need to do is get the scope centered on them and they are history. The accuracy is fantastic and puts my GAMO Whisper Royal to shame. If I were to purchase another rifle, it would be an R1 Elite in 22 caliber to bring more foot pounds to the target (bigger varmints)

    Things I liked:

the look and feel of this gun is like that of high powered powder gun, outstanding quality. i would adsolutely suggest this gun to anyone serious about airgunning. the Bushnell scope is awesome, killing squirrels at 50 yards no problem.

    Things I would have changed:

had to locktite stock screws but i think thats pretty standard practice for high powered spring gun.

    What others should know:

If you can swing the price for this combo you wont be sorry, very high quality in every way. the stock is beutiful and blueing is dark and deep.

    Things I liked:

Fit and Finish. The trigger is awesome. It all works right out of the box. It did not take very long to sight in the scope at 20 meters. Accuracy is excellent. I do not consider myself to be a great shot, but I was able to put pellets into a 1 inch circle fairly consistently. Better than my GAMO whisper royal. This rifle is no lightweight, but you can easily get used to it. It has a real quality feel to it.

    Things I would have changed:

I would not change a thing.

    What others should know:

I purchased the .20 caliber model for it seemed to be a good comprimise between the higher velocity .177 and the increased stopping power of a .22. I have not hunted any small game with this rifle yet, but would expect it work great.

Feel, weight, cocking effort, trigger, easy of shooing, accuracy

    Things I would have changed:

The Bushnell scope gave me some problems with eye piece movement and a dramatic change in the point of impact.. nothing else..

    What others should know:

The Beeman R9 is beyond nice. It shoots at advertised velocities and holds sub 1/4" groups at 20 yards.. what more do you want in a world class airgun?

    Things I would have changed:

Not being able to put the safety back on is annoying.

    What others should know:

Having used all three calibers, .177 .020 and .022 ,I have found the .020 to be far superior on starlings and pigeons. For 25 years I used an air rifle to keep a aircraft hanger clear of birds. The R9 was very deadly. Thousands of STARLINGS can attest to this!!!!

    Things I would have changed:

Should be able to reset safety without firing gun

    What others should know:

scope lens cover rubs on the barrel, need thiner cover or more distance been front lens and barrel. My friend recommended this model to me. I got a carrying case, I did not. The purchase should have included the case.

Simply Amazing! I have one in .20 and one in .22 I love these Rifles sooo much. I have mine lubed correctly (by me) and broken in. Triggers are perfect. These rifles look and perform top of the line. Blow my RWS's away. The R9 will spoil you.

    Things I would have changed:

    Hmmmm nope I got nothing

    What others should know:

Crosman priemiers and silver stings work best for me. Take the time to break in the Rifle and get used to it. Also a little maccari heavy tar on about a third of the spring does wonders for calming the twang without losing any velocity until it breaks in.

    Things I liked:

Quality. This air rifle is done right. There is not a flaw on the stock or metal work. When you break open the barrel with a slap you can feel how tight the tolerances are. The gun is a really a perfect size. So many are rifles with power are just getting too long for my taste. I own 3 RWS rifles and they all have 1 shared characteristic ; they are heavy. The weight on this is solid but not burdensome. Most impressive thing about the R9 is its accuracy. I did not make any adjustments to the mounted scope and I was hitting rodents on my 3rd shot (out of the box). This gun is my go to gun whenever accuracy is a must. Hitting chipmunks at ~15 yards is not a difficult task. Overall the package is a good blend of power, design, and quality. My R9 is in the .20 cal and that suffices for squirrels as well. On a minor note, I really liked getting a "free" tin of Silver Bear pellets as well as a Beeman sticker. I thought that was a nice touch. As far as the scope goes, I would not consider it overly bright, but it gets the lead on target. No complaints. How could I leave a review without mentioning the trigger? Simply put. Amazing . It is so light you will need to get used to it.

    Things I would have changed:

The scope mounts leave no clearance to put on the provided scope covers. Perhaps higher mounts wouild solve this. I don't like that, the safety is not resettable, but that is not a major deal.

    What others should know:

In the manual there is a warning about closing the barrel too hard, so pay attention to that and try to master that action. Beeman Silver Sting and Benjamin Cylindrical pellets are both too loose in the breech. This gun really is at its best with JSB Diablos and Beeman Silver Arrows. This gun is my favorite one. Beeman makes the best If you buy you will love it.

Best Air Rifle I own. High Quality, super accurate. Hits hard and is very consistant. Mine is in .22 and it is superb!!! I love my R1 but hardly shoot it with this around.

    Things I would have changed:

    I don't like the Safety.

    What others should know:

Loves Kodiac magnum pellets- it can diesel with anything under 15 gr. Screws begin to losen just a touch every 25 rds or so.

Lighter than the R1, amazing quality in the finish and areat trigger. SUper accurate and fun to shoot. My favorite. Outshoots my Walther's all day long. once you master your hold and follow thru this rifle is perfect. Absolutely flattens squirrels and rabbits, one shot kills. Shoots flat at 45 yds.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing

    What others should know:

    Loves beeman Kodiac Pellets!

    Things I liked:

Highly Accurate, Amazing fit & finish. The wood is beautiful and all the parts are nice metal. Nothing cheap and plastic. Break barrel is very smooth. The trigger system is dead on. Light and crisp.. just what the doctor ordered. The gun also is pretty quiet.... my neighbors cant hear it, and I even shoot inside the house too.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing I can think of.

    What others should know:

I have the .22 version and it works great for that extra punch in hunting. I've found JSB Exacts to be the most accurate for this rifle.

    Things I liked:

Factory mounted scope (Bushnell) is dead on. Trigger is equal or better than my Accutrigger on my Savage HMR. The rifle is well balanced and the wood finish is excellent. I can easily hold a dime sized grouping at 20 yards and I would expect this to improve with age. It is very easy to cock and light enough in weight to carry around without getting fatigued.

    Things I would have changed:

A air venturi ram air gas spring would allow for more stealthy hunting. I would like to see speeds of 900 to 1000 ft/sec to allow for longer kill shots.

    What others should know:

The saying "Out of the box Accuracy" must have originated with this rifle. The rifle claims to have been zeroed in at 10 yards at the factory by a gunsmith. My first 3 shots at 20 yards required a slight elevation change - that is it. Ever since sighting in I have been holding half-inch groupings at 20 yards. I do not doubt that with time, accuracy will improve. The rifle may be a bit pricey to some but believe me, you get more than your money's worth. Best groupings with: Gamo Hunter 15.3 gr Diabolo Exact Jumbo Express 14.3 gr Benjamin Domed 14.3 gr.
