Seems very well made. The blueing is good and wood is great. There is zero plastic. Gun is all metal and wood.
Things I would have changed:After owning a R7 I expected greater accuracy. The R9 will take squirrels all day but its far from what I got from the R7. The safety cant be placed on after its turned off.
What others should know:I bought this rifle to play in my small back yard. It might a little much. It sends a .22 pellet though a 3/4 piece a plywood at 25yards. The gun is beautiful and feels like a heirloom piece. The scope thats included does not hold zero and is not that great.

Which pellets do you find most accurate?
I got a really tight shot group with RWS Meisterkugeln pellets, once I zeroed the scope. Contrary to what is advertised, the scope was not mounted and ready to go. This is a very accurate rifle!!!
We suggest a 10-13 grain domed pellet. It will take pellet trial shooting to find the most accurate one.

Fit and finish is excellent. Excellent trigger. Cheap to shoot. Nice scope for the price.It was cheaper with the scope than without. Ordered on Monday and received on Thursday. Pretty accurate. Bought for shooting rats. Does the job. Had a problem with the first scope and they sent me a new one. Definitely recommend PA.
Things I would have changed:The scope was shimmed and it made a dent in the tube. I ended up putting a droop compensating mount on it to center the adjustments. and a better scope I'll put the scope on another gun.
What others should know:It takes time to learn how to shoot a springer and to find out what pellet it likes. As others said, it liked H&N Ftt 5.54 best. Tried ftt 5.53, 5.55, Hades, predator, Jumbo exact, crossman hp, baracuda 15 and 18. May try predator GTO next. Most pellets fit loose.
