    Things I liked:

Accuracy, power, extremely light, small, a perfect small game carbine.

    Things I would have changed:

The rear sight is hard to adjust, thats about it though

    What others should know:

This gun is a great small game hunter, i dont reccommend it for anything else than hunting, to hard to pump to go through a tin of pellets a day, but great gun for squirrels, pigeons and doves. Paired with a Crosman Premier Hollowpoint this is a squirrel anniahlator! Inside of twenty yards lung shots drop em quick, doves are no problem, but with Pigeons o i reccommend headshots. Great gun, great value, great buy

    Things I liked:

Accurate, well built, great design. It's a timeless classic. best deal for the price. Fun to shoot. Already taken a couple of squirrels and quite a few doves with it.

    Things I would have changed:

peep sights from the factory would be nice. Trigger pull is too stiff. Walnut stock. The rear sight is too high and I had to remove the screw completely to sight it in.

    What others should know:

I own a Benjamin 347 that I've had for 25 years. It's a great rifle, super accurate and powerful. It has held up wonderfully. I can only compare this new Benjamin against my old one. The "american hardwood" stock is nice, but nowhere near the quality of the walnut on the older rifle, also I had to polish the contact points on the sear and "adjust" the springs to get a decent trigger pull. I do like that the trigger is in a separate housing and I like the o-ring on the bolt, which the 347 doesn't have and when I fire the 347 I get a gust of air back into my hair. Crosman really should include the peep sight on this as the included sights aren't that great. I read on some other reviews people talking about plastic trigger guard, well that's just not the case. It's cast metal and looks like it will stand the test of time. Overall I am happy with this purchase. There are some things that have changed for the better and some for the worse, but I would buy this 392 again. Great airgun. Also, if you try to shoot daisy pellets through it they will jam up while loading. I have not had this problem with crosman or benjamin pellets, so no big deal, since the daisy pellets didn't group anyways.

    Things I liked:

The fit and feel of rifle is great. I really like the stock and pump arm running length of barrel. 22. cal always good. Rifle hits hard with 6 pumps. This rifle was purchased to keep the pests off the bird feeders. It is doing this job well.

    Things I would have changed:

Include a Williams Peep sight. Iron sights are accurate out to 25' (my old eyes don't help) but peep sight makes this a great rifle for pests on the bird feeder some 40' out.

    What others should know:

Rifle arrived on Feb.3 2010 and was immediately put to work. After about 100 pellets we noticed a pppppssstttt sound if we pumped very slowly however no pppsssttt if we pumped fast. next we discovered slow pumping did not fill air chamber and rifle would not fire pellet. Pyramyd Air gave me excellent customer service when they could not diagnose and directed me to Crosman. PA offered to smith on it or replace, refund.... good people and good service! I was able to contact Crossman and found a certified crosman airsmith not 30 miles from home. 3 days after dropping of the 392 I have it back, the valve stem was replaced and let me tell you all this is like a different rifle! We thought other comments were strange describing how hard it is to pump and the clack the pump arm makes but that is just the true fact! If all is working well this IS a tuff nug to pump! Rifle hits even harder than before. Pests no longer drop, they fly off the bird feeder with noticeable heaver hitting power. Ok, have to go now, my HB22 has just arrived!

    Things I liked:

I love the power. The accuracy is reasonable but don't expect a lot from the factory sights, get a Crosman 64 peep sight right away for this gun. I also like the fact that there isn't much if any plastic on this gun. I really like the fact that my gun in particular favors the cheapo daisy wadcutter pellets, or any other soft lead pellet for that matter.

    Things I would have changed:

The rear sight, the effort that it takes to pump this gun, and make the trigger better.

    What others should know:

Don't buy this gun for a young kid because they will not be able to pump it, but this is a very reliable, powerful, and accurate gun that will last for ever.

    Things I liked:

Accurate right out of the box @ 50 ft! 3 treerats already know just how accurate. Sturdy Build, nice fit to shoulder, compact and light weight. VERY Powerful, this rifle is not for young ones. I found the rifle is not hard to pump and makes no loud clack, the trigger is smooth and not heavy to pull at all, and I found no gap between barrel and stock as some have described. So far Beeman Crow-Mag, Daisy Precision Max and Crosman Pointed Premium all shoot well and stay on target. Great to be able to vary the power with number of pumps. 6 pumps take a treerat and full 8 pumps take a Crow with out any need for a second shot. Exceptional value! You will have no regrets with a purchase of the Benjamin 392!

    Things I would have changed:

The front sight needed brightened, I used wife's white nail polish and I can now sight on darker colored targets(crows/&treerats) very well. The stain and finish are pretty poorly done, my 10 year old can lay down stain better, he thinks we should strip her, sand her and make her a honey blond! I just might do this after she is good and worn in. These are minor changes that Crosman could address in production with little impact to their process and would bring positive feedback from customers.

    Shoot safe and have Fun!

    Things I liked:

    Light, well made and powerful.

    Things I would have changed:

There are minor cosmetic flaws, but nothing that seriously affects the gun. The biggest thing I would like to see changed is the sights, the locations on the gun make it hard for me to focus on the target, I don't have the problem with other guns. I would rather have a knob to adjust the windage, than have to carry a screwdriver. A way to sling the gun would be great, so far I haven't figured a good method for this.

    What others should know:

I'm putting a dab of fluorescent paint on the front sight to make it a bit more visible. Four pumps is great for target shooting, pumping to 8 pumps each time will wear your arm out quick. at 4-5 pumps, the pellet can make it to the "R" section of the white pages. I've only put about 250 shots through it so far and have yet to take it out into the field.

    Things I liked:

Pump to vary power, relatively quiet compared to my .22 springer, solid construction

    Things I would have changed:

Change something in the design to make pumping beyond the 4th or 5th pump easier--it's a great arm workout in any case.

    What others should know:

I've gone through a couple attempts as using a .22 spring-air gun, but pump still rules! This is a quality gun.

    Things I liked:

Wood stock, adjustable power by number of pumps, accurate with most of the pellets I have tried.

    Things I would have changed:

Come withe some means of mounting a scope. There are accesories out there that work vry well tho!

    What others should know:

If you pump to full power it takes a little muscle.

    Things I liked:

This gun looks and feels great. It has little to no recoil, which makes this gun a charm to shoot. The trigger is alright but I think it's better than most people make it out to be. The irons are okay aswell but look a little pre-historic. The .22 sounds like it hits nice and hard.

    Things I would have changed:

I'd like to see a better rear iron sight. Also, the black paint looks like they bake it on. One spot on the gun the paint was too thick and bubble up a bit. It not very noticeable.

    What others should know:

Before you start shooting, clean out the barrel. There was a lot of brass and machine residue in the barrel. Not a problem though.

    Things I liked:

Solid construction, good wood. I use the peep sight, and I like it very much. The sight picture is good inexpensive practice if you have a peep sighted battle rifle. I got 1 inch groups at 25 yards with crossman premier hp .22 pellets. It was fun holding high, and hitting the metal gongs at 75 yards.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing

This size and weight is comfortable for an adult.

    Things I would have changed:

I would like a better scope mounting system. I'm up in the years and can't see so well so the scope is the way for me to go though the sights work well.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

Solidly made, does not require CO2 cartridges, does not have the spring piston kick. 22 cal pellet is substantial and hits hard. It will probably not be used reqularly, but in grab and go situations so I did not want something fiddly. I also wanted something that would last for many years, perhaps to be passed on to my young son. This rifle has stood the test of time, and is mostly unchanged over the years - a successful design. I bought it based on the reviews of other owners and my memory of this type of rifle from my youth. Upon receiving it, I believe I my objectives will be satisfied - a good purchase.

    Things I would have changed:

Perhaps the sights. While the iron sights work well, my eyes are aging and in less that very favorable light, it is hard for me to sight it well. I may add a light colored dot to the (barrel-end) sight, so I can find it easier in low light. Or, I may try a Williams peep sight. I like to keep it simple though. I'm hittling what I'm shooting at, but it takes me longer to find the sight than I'd like. Trigger pull is a bit long. I'm expecting it to smooth out a bit with use. Having said that, I'd buy one again tomorrow if I needed a pellet gun.

    What others should know:

A good purchase, if it fits your needs. Also, the "Ten for ten" option is a good option, both in saving you the hassle of returning the merchandise if there is a problem (it's mechanical, stuff happens), and more importantly, they send you a chrono of the pellet speed with one, two , three pumps, etc. Most informative, and you will find that you can acutally "dial in" the velocity/impact you desire.

    Things I liked:

gun shoots great. was pretty accurate at 40+ yards open sight.. the gun has not let me down. i already own the 397 and the c9 and figured i needed to add the 392 to my collection.. it hits hard and feels good.

    Things I would have changed:

i would of like to see actuall blueing like my 397 instead of some cheap paint to where i would like to add has runs in it. the wood work on it need alot of improvement. the finish was very dissapointing. theres somewhat a large gap between the stock and forearm pump. would look alot nicer if there wasnt so much of a gap.. benjamin(crosman) needs to put more quality into this gun like the older models. get rid of the cheap plastic trigger guard.. trigger isnt as smooth as my older models and the bolt feels stiff but i still need to break it in more. hopefully at least that changes.

    What others should know:

for the price its a great gun good for backyard fun and a very good hunter but remember u only get that single shot and u gotta repump.

    Things I liked:

I've been shooting my dad's old benjamin since I was eight. Now that the old one has finally stopped working, I decided to find a replacement for my old hunting companion. I tested the airgun out today and it was like I never lost the old one! I can hit almost anything from any distance! I will never give it up for anything!

    Things I would have changed:

I just wish that the price would be just a bit less, but it's still worth it!

    What others should know:

The more pumps equals the most power, but don't pump over eight times, or it will damage the airgun.

    Things I liked:

I like the feel, power, durabilty, price, simplicity, and rugged look. This gun style has been around for 30 plus yrs so longevity is a nice feature. You don't need to purchase leaky stupid CO2s

    Things I would have changed:

I Would Change - Nothing. For the money, it is a great investment.

    What others should know:

I purchased this gun in Jan 09, it was a remanufactured .22 cal. My 3 sons (9, 12, & 14) helped clean it up and sight it in. We added a Leapers $40.00 scope and now everyone likes guns with scopes. The remanufactured gun saved about $80 off the going rate. I love this style of pump because it's very affordable and in little time it can be sighted and you're hitting your target at 35 yrds and feel good about the success. I had a .177 in this same style when I was 10 yrs old. At 16yrs I fell while crossing the Indian Creek/River in Kuna ID. I lost my footing while crossing on a train bridge and dropped the gun in the river and was not able to retrieve it. I purchased another .177 about 20 yrs later and also purchased the .20 cal nickel plated. Now I have all three calibers in the same style and I think for the money they're an awesome gun for having fun, teaching gun safety and aiming skills. I've never had one of these air rifles fail or become unservicable. All of these guns I would say are very reliable, accurate, and a usful training tools.

    Things I would have changed:

I might order a peepsight or scope later, but I've had good luck with squirrels with the original open sights.

    What others should know:

Not an airgun for children. pumps a little hard on last two pumps.

everything this gun it great it is sooo accurate and powerful i can make 1 ragged hole at 35yrds with 5 shots all day with a scope. 1st day after owning it for 20min i bagged a squirrel with a headshot and 2nd day (today) i got another!! so all i can say is buy it now.

    Things I would have changed:

the rear sight is the only thing i dont like i can figure out the side to side crews haha i no im dumb but still thats it but i use a scope so it doesn't matter.

    What others should know:

its hard to pump but worth it because its so powerful!!!!!

    Things I liked:

All wood and metal construction. Accurate. Powerful. Easy to work on. These rifles are a lot like the old Benjamin and Sheridan rifles.

    Things I would have changed:

It would be nice if there were dovetail rails on the receiver to mount a scope. A little easier pumping would also be nice. Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing

    What others should know:

Mine had some paint overspray inside the muzzle that affected accuracy. Once I cleaned that out the rifle shoots very well. It loves RWS Superdomes and Daisy wadcutters. Go figure. I mounted a pistol scope using the intermounts, makes a great scout rifle.
