    Things I liked:

Accuracy and power. I bought this gun for plinking, and it is highly accurate. I am cable of shooting off the stem of an apple at 15 yards. It can also penetrate half inch plywood easily with standard 7.9 grain lead pellets.

    Things I would have changed:

Loudness. I mainly chose this gun over RWS 350 Magnum because I wanted quieter operation for backyard plinking. Although still quiet, I would have preferred if it was as quiet as a Marauder.

    What others should know:

Although this gun is billed as quiet, it is still loud enough to turn the heads of curious neighbors. I also bought a Marauder, and that thing barely makes an audible hiss. This gun still does a loud bang, but it does get quieter as you shoot more rounds, but not by much.

    Things I liked:

Accurate and a great value with the included scope. My guns shoots POA with almost any pellet I feed it and is shooting 1/2" groups at 30 yards!!! This gun really does the trick on bushy tailed tree rats!

    Things I would have changed:

There is a little to much slack to take up in my guns trigger but it still shoots fantastic patterns when you concentrate on the trigger pul.

    What others should know:

This gun is quite but not silent. LOW RECOIL and super accurate out to 30yds!

    Things I liked:

Well, as most people point out, the gun is clearly high quality. The fit and finish is perfect, and the look is exceptional. It has a ton of power. In fact, shooting in a box filled with 5/8" drywall for backing, the pellets (polymag predator) went through 3 of them before stopping! The scope is very good quality. I use Leupold on my center-fire rifles, and this Center Point is every bit as good, clear, and functional.

    Things I would have changed:

This gun is incredibly sensitive to hold. First thing I did was put about 120 pellets down the barrel before i even looked down the scope to break it in. Still, I've sighted in the scope 3 times now. This is my first Nitro Piston gun, and to be honest, it is far more difficult to shoot than my old Daisy 880 pump from when i was a kid. I could hit a quarter from 25 yrds VERY consistently with that gun and didn't have to worry about hold. With the NPSS, I sighted in with a bench rest and sand bags (not touching the fore stock) holding tightly against my shoulder. I was able to achieve decent accuracy at 20 yrds, about the size of a quarter. But there always seemed to be a flyer. Then i went to go plinking and I couldn't hit a thing! I found that by gripping the fore stock it changed the point of impact by 3 inches down and 1 " to the right at the same 20 yrds! Then i went to the traditional hold (finger tips) for competition type shooting, and again the point of impact was wildly different! I've put over 300 pellets down range and have yet to get a good feel for where the pellet is going to go. Coming from a center-fire background (.30-06 mainly), I find this pretty frustrating as I am an above average shooter with that gun.

    What others should know:

I'm hopeful it will settle down. The video review of this gun shows that it can be very accurate. I am convinced I will find a grip, pressure combination that will work well for me, but need more time to experiment. Perhaps one of you long-time air gun folks can give me a tip (email: bjbstewart at hotmail dot com)!

    Things I liked:

scope is very good i like the trigger pull very much i havent had time to break the rifle in as it should be .i hope the accuracy will improve with more shots being fired.

    Things I would have changed:

the effort it takes to cock the rifle seems to be about the same as a spring piston. i thought it would be less effort.

    What others should know:

over all i like the rifle very much.

    Things I liked:

Well i think i like the "Nitro piston" ....but it is far from a "tried & true" system. Right now it is in the "being tried" stage. whether or not this will phase out spring air rifles remains to be seen. I like the scope, it seems perfectly suited for the rifle. took me about 15 rounds to get the rifle & scope to see eye to eye. I like the digital camo, although it is not the pattern i would choose IF i had a choice. Overall it is not a heavy gun, but it is barrel heavy, & that makes for difficult snap shooting. I like the stock, although the thumb hole tends to leave my thumb knuckle a little sore. & I like the trigger & the safety. Overall, the gun looks shoots & handles pretty good. And it is pretty darn quiet. Also, the check piece is pretty nice. Fit and finish seem pretty good.

    Things I would have changed:

Well, i would like a sling for one thing. More power another. i mean it is adequate out to about 75 yards, but i think it loses allot of lethality beyond that. I think a carbine version of this , maybe with a folding stock, iron sights, see through rings & scope would be sweet.

    What others should know:

Well, after i sighted it in, i was out in the woods....a few minutes later....one gray tree rat was down....20 minutes late another.....10 minutes after that a red rat was put to sleep. So...it has adequate power, reasonable accuracy & a suitable scope. for those who need to dispatch small to possibly medium [ with close range head shot ] size vermin in a suburban area near houses it IS IDEAL. As it is not powerful enough to be overly concerned about ricochets or over penetration ect. & there are not many airguns as quiet as this one. So you get a workable weapon that is good to go right out of the box [ after sighting in of course ] .... little time & money is invested & you get good results...THAT makes this a winner for Americans as not many can afford to spend much more time or money on anything.

    Things I liked:

Easy to cock, pretty quiet and it looks great. Put 100 shots through it before sighting it in and then it took maybe 15 or so shots to get it dialed in.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing so far .... I have only had it for a week.

    What others should know:

This being my first break barrel gun, I wasn't sure what to expect. That being said, I love it! The first 10 or so shots it was kind of loud, but then it started to quiet down. Now it is quieter than my Daisy 880. I bought this for squirrel control in my backyard and I think it will do the job nicely. Haven't seen any squirrels since I got it though ... just my luck. I live in a suburban neighborhood and my next door neighbors aren't real cool with me shooting the squirrels, so this being quiet was the main reason I purchased it. So far it seems to be a great gun and exceeds what i had hoped for.

    Things I liked:

Lighter, quieter & less kick than my old Beeman GS-1000. Seems to be more accurate but that could be due to the NitroPiston offering less jarring than spring-piston rifles. Sighted it at 20 yds. and it was also on target at about 38 - 40 yds.

    Things I would have changed:

Perhaps offer with a wood stock

    What others should know:

I sighted it at 20 yds. and it was also on sight at about 38 - 40 yds. I used about a dozen different brands of pellets and, from my experience, concluded the following: 1. Some brands of pellets gave a scattered pattern regardless of how secure the rifle or adjustment of scope. (Gamo Magnum, Rapto PBA, & Round, and Beeman #1222 pointed) 2. Several brands gave tight patterns but not always on the bulls eye. If rifle was sighted for one tight-patterned brand, a 2nd might have its pattern skewed a few inches left or high. If re-sighted for 2nd brand, then 1st brand was now off center. (Good = Daisy Quicksilver, Gamo Hunter, Gamo Rocket PBA; Very Good = Gamo Match, Copperhead Pointed; Excellent = Crossman Destroyer, Crossman SSP hollow point, Beeman Laser-Sport #3160. 3. There didn't seem to be a correlation between type, weight, or price of pellet when it came to tight patterns versus scattered ones. 4. No matter how tight a pattern a single type yields, there will always be the occasional pellet that will almost miss the target as if it tumbled end over end (Murphy's law?) MAIN CONCLUSION: Find a reasonably priced pellet type and weight you like and one that will give a tight pattern, then stay with that pellet for maximum accuracy.

    Things I liked:

This rifle is extremely quiet for the power that it makes ... Though it does not realistically come close to the 1000fps (.22) with normal / lead pellets. Most accurate pellet in mine is the 16g Predators, with 15g JSB Exact Jumbos and 14.5 RWS Super Domes being next. These predators run around 645fps out of this gun. I can average quarter size groups at 30 yards with the predator pellets ... this gun is moderately hold sensitive. It is easy to cock. The trigger is good and can be adjusted to very light.

    Things I would have changed:

More power ... at least in the 800s fps for .22.

    What others should know:

I experience quite a bit of detonation with this gun (maybe a dozen shots or more)after adding drop or two of Crossman silicon chamber oil to the chamber (after 500 plus shots). When it happens, it fouls the barrel and sounds as if the gun is going to destroy itself, but has held up apparently no worse for wear. This is my only real complaint about this rifle and is a bit of a mystery to me as this chamber oil is supposed to be non-combustible.

    Things I liked:

This is my first airgun since my Crossman 10-pump as a little boy. I really don't have anything else to compare it to; however, I really like this gun so far. Thumbhole stock is easy to handle. Scope is really good for this price range (coming from a guy who only shoots Leupold). Scope mount in excellent and includes and anti-slide screw to lock it to the action. The reticle can be lit with 4 stages of green or red light for nighttime use. The gun seems tight--I've had no problems with loose screws on mine. Rifling was clean. The safety is in an odd place but is totally manual and does its job. I've tried pulling the trigger with the safety engaged and there's a nice, solid block. I've tried 8 different kinds of pellets so far. As expected, pellet choice offers a wide range of accuracy--anything from 2" at 25 yds down to 1/2" groups. I get dime size groups at 25 yards with Gamo Match Diablo, but I still have some fliers that take the groups to 1.5". Barrel droop doesn't appear to be an issue: There's a significant locking lug under the breech. Plus, all of my stringing is left to right, which seems to rule out any droop. Noise seems reasonable though I have nothing to compare it to. It sounds like a smaller air nailer. Recoil is noticeable but isn't buzzy. Stock and cocking parts appear beefy. I like the barrel shroud...it gives the gun a bull-barrel look...although there is no crown at the muzzle.

    Things I would have changed:

Wow...the trigger is terrible on this thing. I love the two-stage trigger concept (I have it on a couple smokless rifles), but the 1st stage is way too heavy. It's probably around 2-3 lbs. Plus, the fist stage has started binding on mine after approximately 250 shots. If I pull the 1st stage until I meet second stage resistance, the first stage spring will bind and the trigger will then just flop around within the 1st stage zone. The 2nd stage is adjustable and came from the factory at around 6 lbs. I've got mine set to somewhere around 2-3 lbs. Trigger break is pretty clean and has just a little bit of overtravel.

    What others should know:

The gun did need a 100-shot break in period. Accuracy improved noticeably after that. Accuracy swings wildly with different pellet types. Wadcutters seem to shoot the most accurately in mine. I'm still searching for the best pellet because I expect a gun of this caliber to shoot dime sized groups at 25 yds all day long. Although I can put 7-8 Gamo Match Diablo pellets through 1 ragged hole, I get 4 or 5 flyers in a 20-shot string that opens the group up to 1.5" or 2". That's no good when trying to pick rats off the bird feeder without putting holes through the feeder. The trigger housing and safety lever are plastic but the trigger is metal. The manual says to add 1 drop of Crossman Silicone Chamber Oil every 100 shots in order to retain accuracy. The scope has an adjustable objective that works quite nicely. The target turrets work nicely as well and can be adjusted to three different styles: loosen the set screw to reset to zero, leave the set screw a couple turns out to allow the turrets to be adjusted on-the-fly, or lock the set screw all the way down to lock the turrets in place. Note: the original scope battery was DOA, which might be why Remington included another one in the box.

    Things I liked:

This is my first pellet gun and I purchased it because all of the reviews seemed to say it was one of the quietest pellet guns out there. I live in the middle of a downtown area surrounded by buildings and apartments and not once has anyone complained about the noise. It seems to be reasonably accurate and has enough power to hunt small game. It also requires very little cocking effort which means you don't have to be strong to shoot it

    Things I would have changed:

The grip. Like others have said there is something about it hat makes my wrist hurt after a while. It is definitely in need of some ergonomic adjustment.

    What others should know:

The problem: When installing the included scope There is a pointed screw that goes into a hole in the top of the gun to prevent the scope from moving. The first time I installed it I did not screw it in tight enough and the scope literally inched its way backward as the pointed screws gouged its way into the barrel.. The solution: For some reason the hole is not threaded which means it is impossible to make it tight enough to prevent the scope from moving backwards. The trick is to screw it in nice and tight until the threads begin to tap the hole. Once the hole is tapped apply some loctite to prevent the screw from backing out.

Have been very happy with this gun. Purchased to take out rabbits and squirrel. Have had great accuracy with the .22 RMS Super H Points. This gun hastaken targets at 25-30 yards so I am quite pleased. Surprised at the quality of the scope at this price range and this gun is QUIET!!! Sounds like a quiet nail gun to an observer making it the perfect suburban varmint control gun where there are neighbors. Have recommended to friends and would purchase again.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger is really rough, plastic trigger guard.

I put 50 pellets through it before I zeroed it. I've sent over a half dozen squirrels (tree rats) to the big feeders in the sky. Mine likes14.2 gr RWS Super-H-Points and 16 gr Predator Polymags and the zero is almost exactly the same with both. I replaced the trigger with a CharlieDaTuner trigger and the difference is amazing.

Awesome AO scope, Single piece scope mount, good solid feel and made in America! Pistol grip, and stock trigger is pretty good. Love the nitro piston, it still has some recoil, but its quick and sharp and wont send your sights all over the place like other springers. Also its much quieter, not silent, but like a *loud* staple gun. Accurate, Hitting 1" groups at 65 yards!

    Things I would have changed:

Give me an easy way to mount a bipod, the shrouded barrel is over 3/4" so its hard to find a clamp on bipod that will fit.

    What others should know:

My first springer was a Storm XT, and the NPSS makes that gun feel like a toy. In the instructions it mentions several times that it needs a break in period of about 100 pellets; They wernt kidding, after about 100 shots or so it gets much more consistent.

    Things I liked:

My Remington NPSS was everything I expected with an airgun with the name Remington on it. Out of the box without any trigger adjustment this new rifle cloverlieafed 5 shot groups into .44 inch at ten meters with both 14.5 and 18.5 grain .22 cal. superdome pellets of two different brand names. Easy to cock and with little noise compared to other high velocity springers that I own, Remington has a real winner with this hard shooting air rifle. It has become my number one low noise small game air rifle. This rifle is a steal for the price of less than three hundred dollars these days.

    Things I would have changed:

A fluted barrel, and lighter weight polymer stock, would make this hard shooter a great carry rifle for all day hunting and shooting. Heavy as it is out of the box it could use a good sling.

    What others should know:

With a heavy scope mounted on this rifle (no factory iron sights) the gun becomes a bit much when carrying it aflield unless you lift weights for exercise. You'll be hard pressed to find another .22 cal. air rifle that will equal the Remington's accuracy out of the box.
