The first time I shot this I was holding some good groups with the provided sights. Great feel to the gun and not to hard to cock with the assist handle.

It would be nice to see this gun available with the Nitro Piston option if they could do it.

I did as Paul said in the video for the 800 and bought the Walther Top Point 2 red dot sight and 1 inch Accushot rings. I had my local gunsmith drill a stop pin hole and mount the scope for around $60 what a difference it made I'm now shooting three quarter inch groupings at 35 feet. This is a great airgun in 22 caliber with the provided sights or the red dot scope this is a real pleasure to shoot. I'll be enjoying this for years to come. Thanks Pyramid!

Worth every cent, This is one powerful hand gun, I love the solid construction , heft, and hole punching power this thing has. Im a big Crossman fan, But,,, this should be the air pistol-rifle in a airgun bug out kit. The Crossman is shooting in the high 400's i believe, this gun has much more knockdown power, at shorter ranges.I havent hunted with yet but my tests for penetrative power lead me to believe its more than adaquate. I LOVE THIS GUN, its hard to put down once you start shooting. If your interested in an air pistols and would like one with power to spare, this should be at the heart of your collection. shoul

Id add a rifle stock built into it, i know many buy it for its value as a pistol but i feel that might settle it a bit more,,

Again its very powerful , just as the advertising claims, the barrel does jump a bit despite the recoil system, (which i like very much). with practice though and disciplined shooting habits it is fairly accurate , you just have to get used to the natural movement of its shooting cycle. So far its Rock solid ,,

safety is a little stiff. Trigger could use a little work, not too bad though.

Heavy duty scope rings or adapter is needed. Standard ones will shift rearward with recoil. My 11mm to weaver adapter shifted rearward off the rail and actually started to bend and shave off part of the aluminum adapter.

Very powerfull for a pistol, Good sights, comfortable grips. Built in safety means that you cannot have barrel accidently close on hand if trigger is pulled during cocking.

Twice as heavy as my Browning Buckmark 22 pistol. A huge gun. Really a short barreled rifle. Even with cocking assist tool, it requires considerable strength to cock - very difficult for woman or youth. Due to saftey, cannot uncock, a cocked gun. Dry fire is damaging to internals, so you always have to shoot a pellet if you cock it.

A little on the heavy side and is a large air pistol. However, it is a great air gun and shoots hard enough for small game.

I bought the .22 version & I love its power and accuracy. Windage adjustment screw has detents to keep it in place and can be field adjusted easily with a fingernail. The fiber optic sights are great and really help with accuracy. Although a bit heavy at almost 4 lbs., the gun is very well balanced with comfortable grips. The trigger has a very positive feel. With the larger caliber, I prefer it over my Benjamin Trail NP .177 for raw take-down power at 10 meters. I intend to use it for small varmint control & my initial tests tell me it'll do the job efficiently & humanely.

I would like to see a trigger that is adjustable from its fixed 4-pound pull. If Pyramyd can guide me, I will replace the trigger with something more fluid. Also, I would prefer the 2-stage trigger to have a more defined feel for the first stage. It is too easy to inadvertently discharge the weapon while trying to get the trigger engage the 1st stage. I'm told that things "loosen up" over time, and I've fired only 100 rounds, so time will tell.

The pistol is designed to absorb a good deal of the recoil energy produced by the spring piston, but the .22 version still delivers a pretty good energy kick to the hand. Just today, I was happy to wrap up my session after just 45 rounds; my hand had had enough. I'm sure that as the pistol settles down and I become more accustomed to the "kick", I'll have no issue with 100+ round sessions. Just be aware that you will feel the effect, cumulatively, of each shot. I have no issue firing 200 rounds or so in a single sitting with my Trail NP, but I doubt I'll ever fire that many rounds in one set with this pistol. The provided cocking aid is pretty much essential for the average human to cock this gun; but even with the aid, loading a couple of hundred rounds in one sitting would be a challenge. I have found, tho', that I can leave the cocking aid on between shots. One final note: This gun ain't pretty to look at. Just remember that the storied "Ugly Ducklin" truned into a beautiful black swan. Enjoy this gun and see the Swan in it ...

I bought this gun in 22 cal because I wanted a high powered air pistol at reasonable cost. I was very disappointed in the quality: within the first 100 rounds the elevation adjustment screw popped out of the rear sight into my lawn, never to be seen again. After I fixed that, within another 100 rounds the gun literally came apart while I was cocking it. The barrel and power plant separated from the grip and could not be reassembled. Umarex was VERY helpful and replaced the gun with an RWS Diana LP8 at a substantial discount, which shoots beautifully. My advice: save your pennies and get the Diana. Only disadvantage is it comes in 177 only.

I like the accuracy. I hit the target the first time I shot and it was almost right on.

I would like a shorter trigger pull, the trigger pull is too long on the pistol I received.

This is my first pellet pistol.I was a little surprised at how heavy the Browning 800 Express 0.177 is. It does seem to be well built, I feel that this pistol will do every thing that I was looking for in a pistol. Bought this for shooting targets and I am quite happy with it! It will shred soup cans! I am 100 % happy with this Browning 800 Express pistol.

I did add a BKL 3/8" or 11mm Dovetail to Weaver Cantilever Adapter, 4" Long, Matte Black and a Walther Multi-Reticle Sight, MRS, 7 Brightness Levels, 4 Reticles, Weaver Mount, per Pyramyd Air recommendation. I have had great sucess with this setup! Thanks to Pyramyd Air I now hit the target more consistently!

Great sights on this gun. It's also very powerful and accurate with a good fit and easy release safety. It's a large pistol but I like that and it also needs to be that way to achieve the power it has. It has 11mm dove tail mounts for sighting devices which is great.

I wouldn't change anything but I would like to see a permanent suppressor mounted on the front of the barrel. This would act as a cocking aid and also make the gun more quiet.

This is no toy, lots of power and not a good trainer for beginning shooters.

My gun shot about 8" low out of the box. The micrometer sights on this gun are finer than other micrometer sights I have used (requires more turns to change impact point) As a result I have 2 holes 3/4" center to center on the vertical in the side of my work bench top that will need explained to my wife. Once the sights were adjusted, I was able to to shoot 1/2" groups at 5 meters from a rest position. This gun is powerful enought to hunt small game up to the size of a rabbit at a distance of 10 meters. I've been an airgunner since 1975 and this one is destined to become one of my favorites. I'm making room for it in my "Bug Out" kit.

Great gun for the price and the weight just proves it is made sturdy. Pyrmid air ships fast.

I love the power of this gun, and how fast it can be cocked,and loaded. Out of the box, this pistol was shooting at around 5.5 ftlbs. But after putting a small amount of grease,(my special blend)on the spring through the cocking slot, and removing the breech seal and putting some rolled up teflon pipe tape behind it to bring the seal out some to make better contact,it now shoots at a consistant 7.6 ftlbs. and it is probably more accurate than i am able to shoot it. Mine is the .22 cal. version,and i am using rws 14.5 gr. superdomes. I am very pleased with this gun.

Got the 22. Great power - maybe I lucked out, but I'm getting over 500fps with RWS 14.5 grain superdomes. Surprising accuracy as well. There are clearly more refined pistols out there, but for the money -- its a 5 star for me

more traditionl/better design of the rear sight

Yes it is a little hard to cock, but nowhere near as bad as I expected from reading other reviews. Key is applying the right leverage angle

An adjustable trigger that can be done without taking the gun apart. Came with a 6 lb. pull, gritty even after 400 rounds. This is made by Hatsun in Turkey, their model 25 may be a better choice.

A stop pin hole in the top of the receiver for a mounting base, so it will not shift.

This gun is not a 10 meter target pistol, nor it behave like one. In fact, when I first got this gun, the iron sight does not hold the zero and the scope mount rail without a stop pin hole does not hold optic scope steady either. After tried many configration, when I finally found a one piece scope mount with a 1X red dot scope from pyramyd air, they hold the zero very well and begin to shoot reasonably acurate. It is not a RWS LP-8 in accuracy, but what the Browning 800 slightly lack in accuracy, it make it up in power. This gun is much more powerful that the RWS LP8. It give an above 555 fps over the 380 fps for RWS LP8 with Premier 7.9 pellet. The Browning 800 worked perfect for plinking and garden pest control, while RWS LP is best used to punch paper in my basement. Now, I really like my Browning 800 for its power and decent accuracy, also it cost way less than my RWS LP8.

Better scope mount rail with a recoil stop pin hole

Both Browning 800 and RWS LP8 claim to have quite high fps, which both are inflated numbers. In truth, Browning's fps claim is closer to truth but slightly less accurate than the RWS. While the RWS is much more refined and over all better quality, but way lower fps, which make it better for indoor paper pinch. Bother are good guns.
