    What I got

    What others should know:

Even the bolt the bolt mind you was flimsy plastic and it sticks on top of that if your strong enough to cock it its a matter of time before it breaks The barrel was cheap plastic with a steel insert I mean come on Crosman charge a few more bucks and make a useable product this is a shame

    Things I liked:

I had one of these back in the 80's and was dumb enough to sell it a few years ago, since I hadn't used it in quite a while. Then the bug bit and I missed it so got a new one. NEVER SELL YOUR 2100! It's accurate, feels good, shoulders nice, and is nicely controllable - pump it up as needed for short-range indoor/outdoor target practice, or give it more for long-range practice and plinking. I've been shooting nice tight groups from 25 feet with a 4x scope.

    Things I would have changed:

Go back to all metal parts like the original. Although, with just some plastic in the modern version, it is still sturdy.

    What others should know:

Accurate with domes, hollow-points, wad cutters, and cones. I got 676 fps at 10 pumps with Crossman SSP 4.0 gr. hollow points. I prefer to keep it at 8 pumps or less, except for chrony testing. There's little to be gained with those last two pumps, and keeping the pressure down a bit could keep your gun healthy for a long time. My last one was 20 years old when I sold it and still strong. This one will be with me for the next 20 or more. Not parting with this one.

    Things I liked:

The multi-pump design and ability to shoot pellets or BBs make this a great gun for indoor use. Four pumps is enough for plinking at 30 ft. Relatively low noise level makes it a good choice for locations where you do not want to disturb neighbors. It is light weight which makes handling easy. Because my vision is bad I had to scope it just to see targets clearly. Adding a scope was no problem. Bought a BSA 2.5-8x36 scope and dovetail scope rings and installed the scope in about 30 min. Have had excellent results with this scope, which is designed for firearms NOT pellet guns. There is a big difference. Firearm scopes are resilient to backward recoil; pellet gun scopes to backward, horizontal and vertical recoil since spring-loaded pellet guns 'jump' in multiple directions. Thus, most pellet guns can ruin a firearm scope. However, the 2100 is pneumatic with virtually no recoil so the firearm scope (which allows me to shoot without corrective lenses because it has focus adjustment) has been working just fine with the Crossman 2100 after hundreds of shots.

    Things I would have changed:

Only real problem so far is that one of the two pins holding the pump lever cover to its metal strut keeps sliding out to the left side. These appear to be friction pins. Suggest that Crossman use two bolts and nuts to attach the pump level cover instead of two friction pins. Transferring BBs from the 200 round reservoir to the 17 round magazine by twisting and shaking the gun is awkward, especially after scoping the gun. Is easier to load a BB into the loading port the same way you load a pellet, which works just fine. Single-loading BBs also eliminates the need to unload unused BBs before firing pellets.

    What others should know:

Accuracy is generally good. Many times the pellet will hit right where the scope crosshairs are pointed. Other shots will veer by as much as an inch on a 30 ft range. This is with both Crossman Wadcutter and Crossman Premier Hollow Point (CPHP) pellets. Of course, you want to keep your barrel clean (Crossman recommends cleaning every 250 shots). No info yet on accuracy at longer ranges (but see user reviews for different pellet products on Pyramid Air). Have run penetration experiments on a 30 ft range with 4 different Crossman pellet types -- Wadcutter, CPHP, Destroyer, and High Velocity SSP. CPHP gave the best penetration. SSP showed the least penetration even though they are higher velocity, because they get that velocity by being lighter weight (lead-free). Presumably they are designed for soft targets such as animals. Loading pellets takes some getting used to because of the small size of the loading port. Dropping the pellet straight down works better than trying to 'roll' it in, but the problem with both is getting the pellet to point nose-forward. Sometimes it bounces and flips, or just goes in, nose-back. Finally tried using a needle-pointed tweezer to load pellets, which works well. Using tweezers also keeps lead dust from accumulating on your fingers.

    Things I liked:

gene got me this gun for mothers day and i have enjoyed using it for target practice. i am very happy with the ease and accuracy. it is not hard to load or aim. i also like the balance fully loaded or not.

    Things I would have changed:

offer a old version of the front sight, safety switch, and maybe camouflage color?

    What others should know:

this rifle is a little hard for smaller children (9 ???)to have to pump for each shot. also the clip can be hard to fill.

Love this gun. I had one over 10 years ago and love this newer version. Not much has changed. Great accuracy. Load last for a couple hours and is easy to load.

    Things I would have changed:

Liked the older sight better. Otherwise I would not change anything.

Cost, accuracy and major fun for an adult size BB gun. It gets better as I use it!

    Things I would have changed:

Still, not a darn thing at this price!

    What others should know:

Because it's winter I've been shooting this gun in my basement since November. I'm limited in my basement to just under 30' using Gamo targets and going through lots of Crosman Copperhead BBs. I thought that I was getting pretty good with the fixed sights until about 3 days ago when I went to Daisy Premium BBs and I'm now consistently ripping out the 1" circle on the Gamo targets. I can't wait to get this gun outdoors.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing, at this price!

    What others should know:

Let's be clear that some of this rifle is PLASTIC; the front lever and rear stock. This is understandable from the standpoint of cost and having the large number of BBs loading from the stock cavity. I bought this for myself and my brother as a 2010 Christmas present. I was surprised how accurate the BBs were out to 30 ft. The pellets (Crosman wadcutters) were more difficult to load, but even more accurate. I pump , with BBs 7-8 times at 30-40ft. and I'm smiling!

Very accurate, with a Tasco 4x15 scope on it. Pyramyd Air is a great company answers questions and delivers quick.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger. If the trigger pulled smoother the gun would be perfect.

    What others should know:

Shoots best with 8 pumps between 10-30 yards. Tried 3 types of crosman pellets, crosman hollow points worked best. Grouping consistantly half to 1 inch groups with this combo at these distances. The destroyer ex pellets do ok, the pointed hunting pellets were all over the place.

accuracy is very good w/pellets, w/BB's so so fun gun for modest price- not your regular "BB gun" provides variable power for different uses

    Things I would have changed:

stock and forearm could be heavier even in plastic - -feels like it wouldn't take too much to break the stock

    What others should know:

tricky to seat pellets for the chamber, watch carefully not to seat pellet backwards

    Things I liked:

used crossman premier and JSB diablo and 2 other pellets, BB's are about as good as a $15 BB gun, don't waste your time on BB's at 16 Yards dime size groups with almost any pellet, and consistant , used 8 and ten Pumps, ten pumps 600 610 FPS accurate dime and less groups all most every time 8 Pumps 570 to 575 FPS accurate same as ten pumps accuracy 6 Pumps at 500 FPS with eradic shots and groups Best group was a third of a dime, pencil eraser size covered the group if it wasn't for the long trigger pull thats not bad it would shoot even better, seems like you pull it 3/4 of a inch but more like a guarter inch pul in realalityl, even pull and pretty smooth before it go's off and it is very quiet..I used a 3X9 Winchester scope bought here for about $33 bucks because my eyes are bad, 69 years old, the sights are not bad at all but not for me at my age

    Things I would have changed:

    shorter trigger pull

    What others should know:

Took it apart and see if I could do any thing about the trigger pull length , nope, all the parts were hard and smooth sear and trigger good quality but the pivot points are long thats why the long trigger travel, can't shorten them, just have to live with it, tried a stopper on the trigger but it won't let it cock by holding the trigger back with a stop

Just got 2, Put a cheap China $6.00 blurry scope on one 4x20, One shot to hit paper with a Pellet, moved the scope over and up from about 4 inchs off and 1 inch low, Hit the Black little right center on a regulation 10 meter target bought at PA, shot four more, all touching the first, didn't move scope and shot 5 more into another target with the same result, 11 shots one to hit paper 5 then 5 , the 2 targets I could cover the groups with a dime at 16 yards, I can Barely do that with a RWS 34 and a Sheridan with $140.00 scopes on them , are you kidding me, $59.00 At PA and shoot dime size groups off a rest at 16 yards with a junk scope, Pellets JSB match exact Diabolo .177, speed, first shot 584, next kept increasing up to 615 to 620 FPS avg the last 6 or 8 shots. going to put a winchester 3 X9 times 32 scope I bought from PA for $32.99 pretty good scopes have 3 of them, this thing is acurrate, worth bying the Leapers 5th Gen 3-9x32 Rifle Scope, Illuminated Mil-Dot Reticle, 1/4 MOA, 1" Tube, 11mm Dovetail Rings for $55.25 at PA also I bought at PA, will not be blury like the Junk I put on just to try it, with a good scope even the $32.99 winchester I believe this is capable of 1/4 inch groups at 16 yards using the JSB pellets

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing, for $59 how much better could it be

    What others should know:

Trigger pull is kinda long pull but smooth and even with 3 pounds pull maybe I am going to put a better scope on, had no Idea it would shoot so well Steve Ypsi Mi

    Things I liked:

Recently purchased the 2100b just for some backyard plinking fun with friends. This gun is a beast. After a little tweaking on the fiber optic sights you can hit targets 20-30 yards away no problem. And the nice thing is it only take 5 pumps to get it that far. When im too lazy to break the barrel of my walther talon magnum .22 this thing is the perfect compromise. When comparing to the 760, the side clip with the spring is very nice. No longer do i have to dip the rifle down to get a bb in the chamber. The longer pump gives you more leverage and steadier aim. Very accurate. Well constructed. Perfect for beginners.

    Things I would have changed:

The loading chamber. Either I put too many bbs in or this thing is stubborn. I spend 5 minutes shaking the rifle just to get 10 bbs to fall into the spring loading area. Not a big deal. Better adjustments for the fiber optics.

    What others should know:

Buy this over the 760. The extra thirty bucks is defiantly worth it. Beginners go for it!

    Things I liked:

Very well made. I think this air rifle will last forever. It has a nice weight and feel. Handles both BB's and pellets.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing - others have mentioned a wood stock would be good but I think the plastic is fine and will not scratch or mar as easily as wood. It is a little tricky loading the pellets but you catch on to it. A pair of tweezers makes it easier.

    What others should know:

The accuracy is fine as long as you pump the same number of times so that the velocity remains the same. I find that five pumps is good for me. I think this Crosman classic is a great buy for the price.

    Things I liked:

Light weight, great power for a pump action, Great looks, great engineering, metal receiver, easy maintenance, highly accurate, versatile. Great price and service from PyramydAir.

    Things I would have changed:

Wish that It was available with a wooden stock. Would gladly pay a premium for this.

    What others should know:

While this rifle is highly accurate and has really decent power, It is not loud. Bought it because my break action Ruger Blackhawk .177 garnered complaints from neighbors that I was using a 22 rim-fire to shoot squirrels in the back yard and got tired of explaining. I can plink all day with this rifle and they never seem to notice. Also, for those who have expressed difficulty in loading pellets into this rifle, I offer this suggestion: Pull back on the cocking handle, turn the rifle onto it's left side, carefully drop the pellet into the loading area with it's point facing the barrel and close the cocking handle. This soon becomes instinctive and pellet loading becomes a breeze.

Spray paint does very nice to paint over everything if you want. If the barrel gets rusty like mine did. sand it down and use spray paint to cover it. it works out great
