    Things I liked:

Quite accurate, for a co2 pistol, of which I have a few, it's got the whack! Good power, light, and just a gas to use.

    Things I would have changed:

Make it easier to swap barrels.

    What others should know:

Warning, this gun is addictive ! After getting the first, l got a second. A blast to mod fun to tinker with. Gobs of fun !

    Things I liked:

Good feel to the grips. Very accurate. Easy to load. One cartridge last a long time,

    Things I would have changed:

That it came with sights so you could shoot it straight out of the box.

    What others should know:

Have a scope or some kind of sight ahead of time. And lots of pellets, because you'll want to keep shooting it all day!

    Things I liked:

I liked everything I read in Crosman's description for the pistol. Too bad the one I received was NOT as described.

    Things I would have changed:

    See below.

    What others should know:

I got this today. Several bad scratches on it, some were due to the barrel stabilizer between the air cartridge tube and the barrel not being set correctly and jammed backwards 1.5 inches before shipping. Both screws scratched up the barrel and housing. If you're going to ship the screws loose, at least back them out enough so they don't scratch up the gun! The thread protector at the end of the barrel had a small crack, too. Probably was dropped at the factory?? So I Gorrilla-glued it. Just a little frustrated with the condition of the gun they sent. If it's been dropped on the barrel end, is the barrel unaffected? Hope so. Not impressed with what they sent me. Got the old, black grips... I know the site says color may vary, but that's just an excuse for when they run out of the new, brown grips. My pmt was 100% perfect, so should the gun be.

    Things I would have changed:

    Put wood grips on it.

    Things I liked:

This pistol is a blast! Almost considered a similar one, but it is made in China -so easy decision to buy American. It's very accurate-especially for the money- fun to smack silhouette targets or paper targets in the basement. And if you order the very affordable suppressor and custom grips from Buck Rail, it will look awesome and shoot super quiet. I put a $70 Hawk red dot sight on my 2240 xl and it shoots one hole groups

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger could be better..but what do you expect for $109

    What others should know:

But custom grips and suppressor from Buck Rail! They sell cheap red dot sight too..but $70 Hawk one worked better for me

    What others should know:

Good gun to build on there is lots of upgrades.

    Things I liked:

The 1/2 UNF threaded muzzle. I use a $25 Buck-Rail suppressor, when indoors (it's great). Steel breech (I use a $28 2-6x32AO scope, which works great).

    Things I would have changed:

Not a fan of brown grips, but not really a factor, as I use a Crosman 1399 shoulder stock with it (see my review of the 1399 stock to see a simple way to keep it from moving).

    What others should know:

This is my loudest air pistol. However, my $25 Buck-Rail suppressor makes it indoor, middle-of-the-night, quiet. This is not the best choice if you are looking for a pistol to use with iron sights (primarily because of the limited front sight options).

    Things I liked:

As a whole this is a top notch cost/benefit ratio purchase, and has been for a long period of time.I have owned 3.

    Things I would have changed:

Offer it with slightly larger, glowing sites as an option. And (its hard to get a world class trigger for $100.00 dollars). That being said, I will buy it again with this trigger.

    What others should know:

This air gun is a child's dream.

My first Crosman product, it is better than I expected for the price.

    Things I would have changed:

Included a dovetail to rail adaptor, even if it would raise the price . No deal breaker, just a taught.

    Things I liked:

I have three of these 2240xl pistols. They are very accurate right out of the box. I have installed extra long barrels on them. You can modify them all you want to your to make them look any way you want.

    Things I would have changed:

I do not know of any thing I would I would change. They are good for the money.

    What others should know:

Just be sure an use the Pellgun oil on the tip of the co2 cartridge before you install it in the gun.

    Things I liked:

Having the steel breech and threaded barrel cap only add to the possibilities this unit provides at fairly low price point. Optics and moderator are easy to mount on it, although must be purchased separately. Add a 1399 stock and a longer barrell and it becomes an accurate and powerful carbine.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing needs to be changed nor can it be unless you raise the price..you will want to do that on your own and then you will have a custom crosman that will be handed down!

    What others should know:

If you want a powerful, accurate pellet pistol then you need to consider it!..

    Things I liked:

I have both the standard 2240 and the XL. I like the original , but the addition of the dovetail allowed me to eliminate some of the weight that came with the scope rail (no longer necessary) and the threaded muzzle was on everyone's wish list I know. I went one step further and tuned the trigger by doing what I did on my standard 2240: put polished brass washers, very thin, on each side of the trigger making it the smoothest trigger I have pulled on just about any gun, air or firearm. Not sure but, I believe it to be about 1 1/2 to 2lbs, and slicker than snot on a pencil. Also, pyramid and others class this gun as plinking/fun, but with the addition of the rifle stock, a UTG bug-buster scope and a power adjuster, I have taken, shot-for-shot as many squirrels as I have with my Air Force Condor. For the money this is the best .22 cal., not to mention the least expensive in this caliber, I think you will find. And then there are all the mods available. This gun is accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

I like the grips, but they are still cheap looking plastic. However there is a plethora of available after market grips so....eehh.

    What others should know:

I primarily shoot Ruger SUPERPOINTS or Crosman pointed pellets. My favorite being the Ruger's at about 17gn instead of the usual 14.3. They are inexpensive and available at Walmart. The Crosmans seem to be harder to find lately. And, my squirrel count now; at over 30 would attest to the accuracy of the gun, and this ammo combination. It's not just for plinking/fun anymore. Choose your pellets well, and good hunting!

    Things I liked:

I have picked this up for backyard plinking I decided to get a 22cal pellet gun a try! This thing has a nice bark to it so I got a DonnyFl Silencer also got a AR15 shoulder stock adapter to turn this into a little carbine! Its decently accurate at 25 to 30 feet I like the punchy ness of the 22cal pellets and higher pellets!

    Things I would have changed:

Not that I can think of at this moment this gun has lots of mods lol!

    Things I liked:

Accurate when coupled with a sight such as the Hawke 1x30 red dot

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing, as enhancements can be added later

    What others should know:

I've added a dovetail-to-picatinny/Weaver adapter and mounted a Hawke 1x30 red dot sight to that proving the pistol to be a very accurate piece. Because I'm shooting behind my house, I also added a DonnyFL sound moderator on the 1/2 x 20 threads dropping a few decibels off the muzzle report and therefore not bothering the neighbors.
