I bought this gun five years ago, and since then have put over 10,000 pellets through it. At first I never thought that it would be this quiet, accurate, and consistent in it's fps. The fiber optic sights on this gun are very useful and accurate especially if you don't like the scope. Considering that it came with a crappy scope, I never realized the potential greatness of this gun; so instead I put on a Simmons 3-9x32 22 mag scope that my friend gave me. After that I started getting dime-sized groups at 12 yards ( the distance I shoot in my basement) with some RWS and H&N pellets. Soon after that I bought a chronograph and realized the consistency of every shot, each one with only a 0-5 fps difference between shots. This consistency is the biggest part of accuracy and will effect long shots the most. I've killed many animals with this gun including Eurasian Collard Doves, rabbits, and squirrels. Overall this airgun has the best quality for the price.
Things I would have changed:The only thing I would change would be the scope. Unfortunately, the scopes Gamo sends with it's great guns aren't that durable for the vibration that the gun expels. The recoil is opposite from a gun that shoots projectiles from a cartridge, this is because the spring piston is reacting forward and sends the gun forward then backward. Therefore the recoil is twice the amount of a regular gun, and the scope it comes with can't handle that, so they break real easily.
What others should know:This airgun will perform great if it's put in the right hands. If somebody that has never shot an airgun before buys this, and complains that their accuracy is bad, their may be a user-error. Make sure that you know how to operate an airgun before you buy one, so you can expect the durability, accuracy, and consistency it is capable of.

The weight, ease of cocking
Things I would have changed:The barrel definitely needs to be sturdier. After the fun has been sited in. The barrel actually flexes when the gun is cocked. The barrel does not return to the same position, there making you mis the target. Learn I say missy he target; Iean miss the complete target
What others should know:Pyramid was very nice and exchanged the gun for a more structurally doing gun that shoots straight. My advice:you get what you pay for...spend a few more dollars and you'll be much happier

Everything! This is the Rifle that brought me into the modern world of Airguns. When I purchased this Rifle I had no idea how fun it would truly become. I went out onto my yard and set myself up a nice target area. I was mindful of my backdrop making sure no houses or potential problems would occur. My backstop was a new 3/4 inch half sheet of plywood. I set my paper targets using duct tape on the wood. Once I was confident that all was clear I began shooting and not doing a bad job of it. I heard the pellets hitting hard. So when I went to go take look at my grouping I was shocked at my discovery. Most of the pellets I shot went through the plywood. I couldn't believe it. I was hooked by this Rifles power and accuracy. Since then I havent looked back. I own 3 Rifles and 4 Replica Pistols. Thank you Pyramyd Air.
Things I would have changed:I would like to purchase the target stop using putty.
What others should know:If your new like I was, please check your backstop carefully.

It is easy to cock this air rifle.
Things I would have changed:The rifle is very under powered. The spring makes so much noise when you fire the rifle that quieting the pellet is irreverent.
What others should know:The vaunted accuracy of this rifle is a sham. It is accurate to about 40 feet. I guess you get what you pay for. The rifle is priced appropriately.

My first air rifle. And for my first, it's been quite amazing. I've had it for a month at the time of writing this and have pushed ~1,500 pellets through it. Due to the size of my yard, I get around 20 yards of range from my balcony to my targets. If I'm wanting more, I use the side yard for ~40 yards. The scope didn't require any zeroing (lucky me) and hit everything right out of the box after cleaning it. I was able to shoot a 6 shot grouping in a soup can lid without an issue. I did upgrade the scope a few weeks later though because the stock one doesn't zoom etc. The balance and overall weight of this is a nice happy medium. As far as it being "silent" you can expect ~60-65db per shot. The majority of the sound is from the spring mechanism, so there's nothing that can quiet it down more. Regardless, a neighbor doing landscaping is way louder. I REALLY like this gun. I use it every day as a stress relief after work, and with my morning coffee on my days off.
Things I would have changed:No more dovetail rails. Picatinny is more modern and opens up more options for accessories. I bought a dovetail to picatinny converter to remedy that issue, but it adds height to the scope. Sling rings. I'd be nice to have the option of using a sling. Better scope. Either include a better one, or give the option of upgrading it from the start.
What others should know:You should stock up on ammo from the start, because you're not going to want to put this down! I emptied a 250 pellet tin my first afternoon with it.

I had to wait a couple of days after receiving this rifle, but it was well worth the wait. Accuracy straight out of the box was great. both my wife and I were able to keep all of our shots in the X and ten ring with NO ADJUSTMENTS. It was a little heavier than I expected, but not enough to be a problem. It handles well and is quick to obtain a sight picture.
Things I would have changed:It is definitely not a quiet as a whisper but it is quite a bit less noisy. I would like to see a threaded barrel that can take a real silencer. Everything else is perfect.

I bought the first versions of this rifle which were originally, the silent Cat, and the Silent stalker in .22l. I have regular rifle scopes on them, (Nikon and Bushnell have very reasonable models with their great glass. I didn't have to continue re-positioning either except in normal wear and tear. After zeroing the Silent Stalker, I took it into the woods, and fired my first shot at a rabbit @40 yds off. One shot. One immediate kill. Not even a twitch. So I am selling off a bunch of my air rifles and equipment but will keep the Silent Stalker. Sound wise? A sneeze is louder. I recommend this product.
Things I would have changed:It looks like the skeletonized body has taken care of creating a nice pistol grip and weight which is refreshing to see...
What others should know:I think anybody, expert shooters and folk just starting their air gun journey would find this a lot of fun, and nice for small game.

It's pretty light, and yet it feels solid. I used it in the backyard around 10 - 15 yard for pest control and target shooting. Once dialed in, I can get a nickel size grouping constantly. For that price and accuracy, I'm impressed.
Things I would have changed:I would like to see the noise level improved. It's probably not the noise from the pellet existing the rifle, but more from the pistol hitting the back of the barrel. Another thing I would like to see is the scope rings to be taller, so I can use the iron sight for short distance target, and the scope for long distance shooting. Also, it would be nice if the rifle comes with "sling swivel mount" (think that's what they call) for two point rifle sling.

Great air gun at the price point. Very quiet and accurate enough. Shipping was fast. I mounted the provided scope and took it to the range and had it zeroed at 30 yards relatively quickly. Shooting good-quality pellets off a rest a quarter would cover a 5-shot group.
Things I would have changed:Better scope and taller rings
What others should know:Yes it is quiet, but don't be expecting a James Bond silencer. The spring is still going to make some noise. The scope is pretty low-budget, lots of glare and not super clear. My biggest gripe is the height of scope rings, they aren't tall enough to clear the iron sights so you have a blur in the bottom of the scope. The front sight is easy enough to remove, slide the shroud forward to remove, then tap the dovetailed sight out. Rear sight is another story, it is molded in. I intend to never use the iron sights so I buzzed it off with a multitool. That was better, but it is still so low you get a bit of blur from the suppressor. I might try to get slightly taller rings and/or a better scope at some point.
