Very light and very easy to cock. The overall presentation of the gun is good. The weak point is the scope. I enjoy shooting this gun and it has been very accurate for me. The spring is loud in my opinion but the report is muffled. Basically it is loud to the shooter but not anyone else.
Things I would have changed:A better sccope. I can see the crosshair move around when I adjust the focus. Then I have to sight the scope in again. You can also see the front site thru the scope it just got used to it. But once it is set and loctite the screws it is consistent.

Generally pleased with this air gun. Have been shooting a variety of pellets, but like the Gamo Tomahawk pellets, and Beeman Hollowpoint. Though the trigger is adjustable, I was rather disappointed at the hard pull which made accurate shots difficult and didn't bother trying to adjust it out. Instead replaced with a GRT III which made the trigger very close to the stock trigger on my Air Arms s410 in performance, and now it's quite nice and allows much better accuracy. Once the trigger was replaced, the accuracy has really improved in terms of tight shot patterns. But frankly it did ok with the stock trigger as long as I used a good artillery hold with some added stability such as sitting and using a leg for added support. Standing and shooting with the stock trigger was difficult as the hard pull made shot patterns dispersive. However, the light weight of the gun, surprisingly light, generally makes this gun easy to handle. Scope is good enough, way far from top of the line but good enough for this gun. Clear and easy to mount with a stop pin. Used loctite on the screws and after hundreds of shots have not had to adjust after the initial sighting in. Though did run about 250 pellets through it prior to sighting it in to get a reasonable break-in. The cocking effort seems much less than I've seen listed (anywhere from 28 ft/lbs to 38) and really seems more like 18-20. Any abled 10 year old can cock this weapon.
Things I would have changed:Trigger. Price should be 10-20% lower to make it an excellent value.
What others should know:Any able 10 year old can cock this weapon. I place the gun butt on my left thigh, hold just above the trigger guard with my left hand, with my right grasp the silencer and break it open and cock it. Really can do hundreds of cocks a day with no arm fatigue. For a springer the gun is relatively quiet. As far as speed of the pellets it must be as advertised, because the PBA pellets break the sound barrier (1116 ft/s) and it sounds like a rimfire .22 going off. It's certainly louder than my s410 which is a PCP and extremely quiet. The s410 is so quiet I missed a squirrel twice (today) and it still sat eating calmly, then I adjusted the scope, got a little stability as I leaned against a tree for the long range shot (about 60 yds) and took it out with the 3rd. While I wouldn't have taken such a long range shot with the Silent Cat, I also wouldn't have gotten more than one chance. Still, the gun is certainly more quiet than any rim-fire or center-fire weapon. The gun started out with some twang from the spring but that quickly dispersed. Also, there is a little bit of torque from the spring, and a tune would do this gun some justice. For target practice and light hunting I find myself grabbing this gun from time to time, but intend to gift it to a 12 year old buy.

Lightweight and nice feeling in your hands. Easy to hold and balances well with an 'artillery hold' which is needed as this springer has noticeable kick. Have only had it about a week so far with only just over 100 pellets through it but the initial twang is fading and the trigger is getting a little better (but already ordered a GRT III and will update once it's installed). Very pleased with the accuracy and it's nice that in my hands this gun makes me a better shooter which is about the highest compliment you can give a gun. I don't have a chrono but the PBA Raptors break the sound barrier and it sounds like a .22 rimfire going off in the distance when you shoot one. Is it 1200 ft/sec, well I just don't know, but it's certainly faster than 1116 ft/sec and you know as you hear the crackling of the pellet as it flies. Very surprised at the ease of cocking this weapon. I think it's advertised at 30 ft/lb of force, but sure seems closer to 20. Maybe the construction makes the cocking effort appear less due to ease of levering. I park the butt pad on my left front thigh, hold the gun with my left hand just in front of the trigger guard and cock with my right and could do this hundreds of times a day with no fatigue and I am in no way a 'strong' person. Finally, it is called Silent Cat and that's great name as this gun is stealthy and quiet.
Things I would have changed:The trigger. It's smoothed out some over the first hundred shots but just don't like it much. Also, for what you're getting, this guns seems 10%-20% overpriced. The barrell and silencer surface while it seems durable also seems to be made of cheaper material, rather than blued metal. But in terms of performance overall I wouldn't want anything there changed.
What others should know:My only other airgun is an AirArms S410 and of course the Silent Cat is a lot different. Easy to zero in the scope and generally satisfied with the included scope, but then again you get what you pay for so don't expect a lot. Have been using Gamo Tomahawk pellets and except for the lead dust that accumulates on my fingers, have been very satisfied with the results. Purchased this as a hunting rifle for my son, but see myself using it quite a bit too.

quality is excellent for a gun in this price range ! it is a little hold sensitive (this is my first springer) but once you learn to hold it correctly (as lightly as possible!) it is quite accurate! perfect size for me as i am only 5'4". surprisingly solid scope mounts! does NOT budge if mounted correctly!i am a 41 year old former marine and have been shooting airguns since i was 10 and was originally disappointed with the accuracy, but trust me, it's NOT the gun! it's really only a matter of learning the correct hold. i can now cover most 5 shot groups with a nickel at 110 feet after owning this gun for 2 weeks and approx 700 rds.
Things I would have changed:the factory trigger is mediocre at best. adjusting it did almost nothing for it. i ordered a better trigger from charliethetuna.com after the first day of shooting! not a big fan of the factory scope, although it works well( i personally prefer a min of 3x9x40 but am using a centerpoint 4x16x40)
What others should know:2 things : if this is your first springer, watch some videos on hold sensitive guns, cause this one is!! also was told by pyramid that up to a 44 objective would fit on the factory mounts and it does not! my 4x16x40 would not clear so i ordered a VERY nice 1 piece mount for under 20 bucks ! also this gun LOVES the gamo match 7.71 gr wadcutters!

This is a great spring air rifle. It is very nicly designed and very accurate to shoot. I shoot it at about 30 yards and like the stock sites. Very easy to see even it low light. They are a glowing fiber-optic. Very nice rifle
Things I would have changed:Maybe make the thumbhole a little larger.
What others should know:It will shoot close to the advertised 1200fps. My testing showed it hit at about 1175fps with german ammo and lead was only a little slower

Great looking gun, accurate, quiet compared to my Fat Cat 1200 and stock looks and feel great.
Things I would have changed:Trigger.
What others should know:This is the same gun as the Whisper except for the stock. IMO, the Silent Cat's stock is much better.

John from Alabama...I like everything about this air rifle. I have broke it in with Beeman Kodiak heavy .177 pellets,,,one inch groups at 25 yards. The feel is great,,,the rifle looks great,,,cocking and loading is very quick. The factory trigger is ok but a GRT III drop-in replacement is the secret to good tight groups. With the Beeman ammo I hear only the spring action when firing. For any distance shooting mount the scope. For the money this air rifle is Great.
Things I would have changed:I recommend changing the trigger to one made by CHARLIEDATUNA.COM,,,,the GRT III.....almost all rifles shoot better with a quality adjustable trigger
What others should know:PyramydAir has good prices and excellent service...I received my rifle in good condition....they are a good company to deal with

I love the stock, great design and is the main reason I bought it. Has the "silencer" on the muzzle which also looks cool. The gun was very accurate out of the box and the optic sights are great too. The gun is very accurate at 20-30 yards and been having fun and challenging myself out to 50 yards using the 2nd bottom mil dot on my scope. Fun recoil, nothing too crazy but satisfying. The safety trigger is easy to flip on and off. The gun has decent cocking effort, not the easiest, but definitely not bad. Overall a very well made gun that had a good weight to it. I like that it comes with 50 raptor pba pellets. I like that it also comes with a scope and mount rings but...
Things I would have changed:....I didnt bother to mount the included scope as it seemed very cheap and instead put on a leapers 3-9x40 scope with a 1pc mount. The gun isnt as quiet as I thought, even after several hundred shots I can hear the twang and vibration of the gun when firing. The trigger isnt the smoothest but I'm getting used to it. Add mounts to the stock for a sling.
What others should know:The included raptor pba pellets are really loud as they crack the sound barrier. Fun to show off to friends but maybe not so much with neighbors. I use different lead pellets such as gamo tomahawks and crosman destroyers and they are quieter. This is my first pellet gun and I am very happy with it.
