Everything. It's a hard one to cock, but definitely worth the effort. Very accurate right out of the box.

    Things I would have changed:

    NOTHING

    What others should know:

This would be an excellent airgun for small game or pest control

    Things I liked:

I started not to buy this gun because I don't hunt much. I'm glad I did buy it because it is really fun to shoot. I'm a 200 pound guy so it's not that hard to cock. It will shoot clean through a can of soup at 55 yards no problem at all. I don't know but I think that would be bad news for an animal. I have shot it several times late at night. My closest neighbors are about 50 yards and no one has heard a thing. I am very impressed. The free scope they were giving away has also worked very well. I for sure needed some loctite though.

    Things I would have changed:

Not much here to say. It's a little bit heavy and pellets are kind of expensive. After about 50 shots I need a break.

    What others should know:

The pellets are so big they are easy to load even in the dark. This thing really packs a punch!

Love this rifle. Hits like a sledgehammer and great for small game hunting. Very field ready rifle. Took mine out for the first time hunting in the sleet and snow and it worked amazing!

    Things I would have changed:

This is a BEAST to cock. Not for weak people.

    What others should know:

Make sure to use a scope stop if you scope it.

    Things I liked:

I got the rifle today. Shot it a few times. It is a stout rifle and not too hard for me to break over since I am a pretty big guy at 6'4" and 280lbs. If your not a big guy it might present a challenge since you may have a little less leverage. When I fired it my target was a scrap of 1/2" Baltic Birch plywood....hardwood plywood made of solid plies...very hard stuff. I set it against an old steel 55gal drum using a .30 Vortex pellet. It shot clean through the plywood and blew a 2" peice out of the back and then knocked a nice dent in the drum. Blew my mind with that. My wife got angry and said "You told me you bought an airgun!" ...lol. It was also iron sights zeroed to about 20 yards out of box.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing. Can't beat quality or price. Great adult gun.

    What others should know:

Hard to break over...very stable...it's heavy but in a good way. The weight keeps it still. Reminds me of holding a traditional muzzleloader. It comes with extenders to make stock longer if you have a long reach.

    Things I liked:

I really like this rifle a lot. I've been shooting the 30 caliber polymag and diabolo both in 44.75 grain. Both are very accurate. Like 1 hole groups @ 20 yards accurate. This rifle is quiet. The pellet hitting the target makes more noise than the rifle itself. If you want to RUIN pests out to 20 or 30 yards... The Hatsan 130 S will make you happy. I had mine zeroed in within 10 shots. This rifle could drop any size game within 15 yards with a well placed head shot. I don't have testing equipment so this is all opinion of course. Small game like coons and smaller out to 25 yards. I wouldn't try shooting animals further than 25 yards unless it were a survival situation. This rifle is absolutely solid. No play whatsoever in the barrel. The adjustable microclick sights were easy to adjust and stay where you put them.

    Things I would have changed:

As much as I like this rifle, there are 2 things that SHOULD have been been better. Number 1 the "Quatro" trigger wasn't very impressive. It works but I know it could have been better. Maybe they talk it up too much and raise expectations. Number 2 the "Safety". Is sloppy, plastic and not what youd expect. I do like that it is designed like a hammer that you pull back to fire and push forward for safe. It's clever but feels so loose and cheap.

    What others should know:

Ok if you are thinking of buying this rifle, you need to know it is heavy, long and requires a lot of force to clock. I am 46 years old, 5 foot 6 inches and 190 pounds. It takes all my strength but I manage. 20 0r 30 shots and I need a break. This rifle kicks "forward" so your finger tip will get sore also. I am 100% Happy with it despite the few negative things I mentioned. Honestly for the price it is a super deal. I bought the synthetic stock because I want to paint it camo and it is a little lighter than wood. But the wood stock looks beautiful.

    Things I liked:

I am very impressed with the trigger on this rifle. It's also very accurate and hits hard. I have gotten very good groups out to 40yds with both JSB 30 cal pellets. H&N not so much.

    Things I would have changed:

Only issue I have had is that the scope mounts are hard to keep tight. Definitely need loc tite. And it's a beast to carry around but I can deal with for how hard it hits.

    What others should know:

The rifle settled down and started grouping in about 75 shots.

    Things I liked:

Power! It was much easier to cock than other reviews mentioned. Seems fairly accurate with the iron sights with a good hold.

    Things I would have changed:

Pyramyd Air advertised that it included a free Hatsan Optima 3-9x40 Scope with purchase (an $80 value). I am very disappointed that it arrived without the scope. The trigger offer adjustment but it is sloppy, loose, and low quality. The safety is plastic, loose, poorly made, and has a lot of play. The 130S is louder than I expected - similar to a subsonic .22 rimfire.

    What others should know:

The synthetic stock and finish of the gun are below average. The trigger and safety are disappointing. If you are hoping to have the free scope included, don't buy from Pyramyd Air.

    Things I liked:

Ordered this rifle. Arrived on time. The gun is well built. Quality stock. Not that hard cock unless you are a small framed individual. Gun is reasonably accurate for what it is. I have shot JSB diabolo 44.75gr and Polymag 44.75gr pellets through it. At first it seemed like the JSB but the more I shoot it it seems to get better accuracy from the polymags. I have shopped both at 30 40 and 50 yards. In my opinion this is a solid 30 yard open sight rifle with the polymags. At that range with the polymags I am 100% confident if I do my job headshots on rabbits and squirrels is easy. I was disappointed with the JSB 44.75 grain. At first I thought those were going to be my go to pellets but after break in I will be buying nothing but polymags. The polymags did well out to 50 yards after break in but at 30 yards they are top notch! This thing is not a toy. Its 30 to 40 yards Im confident this rifle would kill a deer or coyote with a head, heart, or lung shot.

    Things I would have changed:

Front sight is cheap in my opinion it is a bit loose for this much power. This guy deserves some quality steel sights. Other than that I I think its a well-built gun it worth the money. If you were looking for an air rifle that throws some serious lead and will knock the daylights out of coons groundhogs possums and coyotes at 30-40 yards and a deer if you are accurate, and realize this is not a long range sniper rifle and accuracy is only as good as the man shooting it, dont be afraid to buy it. Its a blast!

    What others should know:

Polymag 44.75 gave the best accuracy after break in out to 45 yards. The JSB diabolo 44.75 worked best at first but now past 30 yards with open sights are not giving acceptable groupings. Im an accuracy nazi and if i cant keep 10 shots inside a chew can lid at 40 yards im not using them. I recommend the polymags for sure. They are also cheaper. The polymags do some serious damage to whatever you hit. And again i stress THIS IS NOT A TOY!! you could kill someone with this rifle so be mindful what you are shooting at.

    Things I liked:

I ordered this air rifle on sale. Came with a free Hatsan Optima scope and free shipping. I love this gun! I use No. 1 swaged buckshot and Im very impressed with the accuracy and power. So far Ive just been plinking at books, cans, and potatoes in the backyard. Im a big guy and like how hard it is to break the barrel. This insures that children cant cock this gun. One shot blows through 1/2 inch particle board at 15 yards. 3 shots will blow out 3/4 plywood at 15 yards with a tight group.

    Things I would have changed:

Gun and scope came shipped in a rectangular box that was 3 inches to short. The open end was just heavily taped around the open end to close it. The swivel on the butt end of the gun was missing and not in the box. Bought a new one from Walmart for $10. This rifle is on the heavy side and could really use a sling. Bought one of those at Walmart but forgot how much I paid for it, was less that $10.

    What others should know:

No. 1 Swaged Lead Buckshot works great in this rifle. The round ball does engage the rifling and is super affordable for the person who likes to shoot a lot. Get this rifle!!!

    Things I liked:

Hi I'm a very happy and a very impressed new owner of my Hatsan 130S. I had ordered it after much looking . Having other gas piston rifles in different calibers all Hatsan except for my Winchester 22 nitro piston at 900 fps a 177 and 25 caliber HatsanThe very affordable Edge in 25 cal. I ordered my new cannon on a Tuesday and got it with much excitement on a Friday on my doorstep after work.. This rifle is all hunting close 25 yards. Ish? Great impact energy. Huge recoil and I use both arms to break the barrel. I put the butt on my waist bone left side and pull the barrel back with more strength and control. Very precision fit very accurate and very dangerous. Its a non wood back stop unless at least three sheets of 5/8 plywood.. If a pellet repeatedly hits one area it will penetrate a 2by6 and I was able to test the power with all available ammo and its not pellets. tThese ones are huge 30 caliber slugs 7.62 millimeter stopping power. I love love this rifle. Its rugged and a mans gun

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing but a sling included would b great. Small heavy recoil Bug buster scopes work great by the way and the iron sights are fantastic. I wouldn't change anything about the rifle. But a sling is very important.I may order the Benjamin sling which I hear is perfect. Hatsan has one as well but not as comfortable.

    What others should know:

I have noticed Hatsan's I have ordered always have been very dry..vs lack of lubrication from new except the barrel was over oiled. I on my other Hatsan had the trigger stop working new and a slight slap on the side cause a pellet to fire without my finger in the trigger. I lubricated the trigger assembly problem immediately solved.. I then de oiled and re oiled silicone barrel all other lubricants pellgun oil.Trigger included.. And if your range is in a neiborhoodbthis cannon is dangerous.. Your basically firing a rimfire 22 but silent and as much a kick from that huge pistons other powder burners I have fired... A mans hunting rifle.. Serious power.Use small to midrange optics. And very strong this gun will ruin a new scope from all the power.

Very powerful and accurate. First ten shots made four holes. Excellent trigger for a break barrel.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing.

    What others should know:

Limited on ammo selection but who cares. This thing is a beast. Be realistic about what you have, it doesn't have PCP power. Have a safe backstop because it blows through half inch plywood quite easily.

    Things I liked:

Build quality is really nice, rock solid piece, price is amazing for such an awesome airgun. Its big, heavy, hard to cock like the other reviews say, kicks real hard for an air gun, but man do I love this beast. Nothing more rewarding than to hear the pellet smack down on its target. Serious survivalist hardware. By far the most unique and fun airgun I own. It has a solid, great balanced feel when shooting it.

    Things I would have changed:

No reflection on the gun, I wish ammo was a bit cheaper and had a wider variety. Otherwise everything has a reason for being the way it is. The large piston is needed to toss such a big pellet.

    What others should know:

The gun is heavy, and cocking force is substantial. It is not for youth or weaker shooters. It is actually a safe gun for being around children as they cannot cock it. It is a blast to shoot and is worthy of any airgun collection. Survivalist worthy as it requires no additional air source and is self contained. Capable of bringing down most small/medium game humanely at close range.

    Things I liked:

It arrived today and I found it easy to sight in on my 25 yard range. Very powerful. Wow! It Shot a clean hole through a 1/2" board. The sights are good enough for 25 yard range. It is extremely solidly built and the nylon stock could take a lot of abuse without suffering. It's a keeper for anyone needing or wanting a large caliber air rifle. I live in the city and have a backyard 25-yard range and shooting shed so I get to practice with a realistically sized air rifle that has the heft and feel of a carbine. And since it isn't a firearm I can fire it in my back yard and without breaking any laws about discharging a firearm inside of city limits. It is great for keeping my shooting skills at a good level without spending time and money going to a shooting range.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing.

    What others should know:

It takes a lot of muscle to charge it so don't worry about 97 pound weaklings playing with it when you're not around. Also, if you plan on carrying it very far get a comfortable sling with a pad.
