    Things I liked:

This is absolutely one fun rifle. Very accurate with the iron sights I am waiting for some mounts to arrive to try the recommended scope on it. Perfect for 10m indoor practice/plinking.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing

    What others should know:

get lots of pellets and extra clips.

    Things I liked:

very fun to shoot. I like the 5 shot cartridge and atomatic feed. The gun looks really cool and it is fun to cock and shoot.

    Things I would have changed:

The cocking mechanism catches sometimes and looks like it will bend if pushed too hard. It should be more robust and operate more smoothly. The dials to adjust the rear sights should have a screw adjustment, and also the stock adjustment dial. The cartridge doesn't hold the pellets snugly, so that they fall out if you don't hold it horizontal. It is difficult to load the cartridges due to this design.

    Things I liked:

Shoots well. Like the way it holds. Easy for shooters of different sizes. Easy to cock. ACCURATE!

    Things I would have changed:

It would be nice if you could load a single round without the use of a clip.

    Things I liked:

Being a repeater allows for more fun than a single shot.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing about the rifle. But PyramidAir needs to improve their in stock inventory. When you order a package, something always seems to be out of stock. If you want your order shipped complete, by the time an out of stock item is available, your previous in stock item is now out of stock and you will have to wait a long time before you get your complete order. So if you order separately to get what is in stock, you will pay additional shipping charges. Plus items that are out of stock, give you an expected in stock date, then these dates get pushed out further. PyramidAir needs to improve the inventory positions with suppliers.

    Things I liked:

Of all of my huge collection of airguns, this Russian made gun totally out classes out shoots and out does every other gun I own from around the world at 10 meters. This gun out shoots a hand crafted (and very expensive) British pcp 10 meter rifle. I'd recommend this gun for several good reasons.... out performs olympic class rifles, construction is the very best weapon grade polycarbonate as well as one of the finest barrels I ever saw. With iron sights that came with the gun I can drill a target repeatedly in the same spot, over and over again. so easy to cock I don't have to break cheek weld until I expend the clip, so no need to reaquire a target. The gun is just plain the best on the market for a 10 meter gun.

    Things I would have changed:

The clip needs to be redesigned so it holds pellets a bit better. If you aren't careful loading it the pellets fall right out. Other than that, it's a fine gun. Excells at 10 meter field target but definitely not a hunting gun. I'd love to see this gun on steroids and built for hunting. Sqirrels wouldn't stand a chance.

    What others should know:

If you are a 10 meter field target shooter, or planning to make a try for an olympic position in 10 meter air rifle, this is the perfect gun to train with or even compete with if you can get the ok from the governing body, and best yet, it won't come close to busting the budget.

    Things I liked:

Accuracy, side-lever cocking, ease of cocking, 5-shot clip, overall design. Seriously cool air rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

Only one thing -- fit / finish is a little rough. Some sharp edges on the plastic stock, barrel bluing / finish is only okay, etc.

    What others should know:

Don't hesitate -- solid gun, excellent value. Really good gun for an indoor range -- quiet, accurate, no CO2 required, not overly powerful, etc.

Shoots well, nice size and weight. Accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

mags could hold pellets better, fall out if not careful If pellets dislodge while inserting clip it can easily jam barrel.

    Things I liked:

The IZH 61 is a tremendous value and fantastic fun. Get a compact scope, an offset mount, a tin of pellets . . . and get ready for an afternoon (or whole day) of plinking and grinning!

    Things I would have changed:

Given that it's so reasonably priced, there's nothing I would expect to be different.

    What others should know:

Before you ever sent a pellet through this rife, take a few minutes and thoroughly clean the barrel. In order to prevent any corrosion (I assume), the folks at IZH have lavished a lot of heavy lubricants on the 61 before packaging it. Just wiping down the outside will not do the trick, since I ended up removing about a tablespoon of grease from the bore! Keep sending patches through it until they come out clean - and you'll be rewarded with a very light and functional air rifle that's surprisingly accurate.

    Things I liked:

Good build quality and cool design. Exellent accuracy. The trigger is nice and crisp out of the box on mine. The easy cocking makes this an all day shooter.

    Things I would have changed:

the rear stock feels a bit wobbly when fuly extended. An extra piston seal would be nice alongside the spare mainspring included in the box.

    What others should know:

Do not use pointed pellets. Will cause jam. Buy PLENTY of pellets, this gun is so fun to shoot that a couple of boxes won`t last long..

    Things I liked:

Good design and solidly built. Really fun to shoot and it shoots cheap pellets like the gamo match, H&N Geco and even chinese flatheads very well.

    Things I would have changed:

A spare mainspring comes with it, but a spare piston seal would also have been nice, just in case.

    What others should know:

If you want a powerful airgun, this is not what you want. The IZH 61 is designed for 10 meter target practice and general short distance plinking and it fills that role with exellence.

    Things I would have changed:

The sights are a little tough to get used to.

    What others should know:

Great to shoot got mine about two days ago and have all ready put close to 300 rounds through it, I put a scope on mine because I couldn't adjust to the sights. No matter what I would 100% recommend this gun.

    Things I liked:

It's easy to cock from the shoulder. It is made from weapons grade material, so it's not a "plastic toy". The gun is deadly accurate and aquiring a target is fast. The trigger is light and fast, and it is adjustable for most shooters. I like mine with a very short first stage, and the stock fully extended.

    Things I would have changed:

I'd take some time to re-engineer the clips so the pellets stay in them.

    What others should know:

It's a great gun for the money and they weren't lying when they say it's addictive. When i get this gun in my hands I can't stop shooting.

    Things I liked:

I haven't seen quality like this on any other gun I have from any other country. This gun is made from high quality weapons grade polycarbonate and very high quality steel. It's such high grade it can easily stand toe to toe with an olympic rifle and easily match or exceed what it can do. I don't normally like stock open sights, but these were top grade all the way. It became my favorite target gun within the first minute I held it.

    Things I would have changed:

I'd reengineer the clips to hold the pellets so they do not fall out of the clip. That happens alot. The engineers did solve this to a degree by making the gun so it holds the clip and pellets in place in the magazine. (a clip fits in a magazine but a magazine does not fit in a clip. Big difference to real gun guys.)

    What others should know:

When retrieving the clip, be careful. If you aren't ready for it, there is a spring in the magazine that will shoot that clip quite a distance. Be sure you have hold of that clip before you release it. Also the windage is a bit rough to adjust since you need to loosen two screws move the rear sight, then oh so carefully retighten it. one tiny jerk of the screwdriver and you start over again.

    Things I liked:

If you watch the air gun reporter about this before you buy it, you will not have any gripes. The 11mm dovetail is short for a scope but perfect for a diopter scope which gets you olympic grade accuracy. I use crosman pellets due to the fact it's available locally and most guns seem to like them. It's totally a target only gun but I do know it can dispatch a rat or squirrel fairly easy due to the extreme accuracy of the gun, but do so only up close and personal. A laser mounted on the barrel also helps it you need to use it to clean a barn of rats. I use it mostly as a training gun for my idea of a decathalon. 5 shots, a 1/3 mile run and 5 more shots....It's really great for that kind of activity.

    Things I would have changed:

perhaps rework the clips so they hold the pellets a bit better. It's very apparent the designers figured these out as a bit of an afterthought.

    What others should know:

Russia is not known for many good things, but one thing they always did very well was design and manufacture of weapons, and innovation of weapon systems. They were the ones that came up with angled tank armor, the famous AK-47 which I have owned and liked very much, and of course, cutting edge air rifles. I like this gun just as much as my AK-47 if not more since this lets me shoot indoors especially in the winter so my hunting skills remain sharp.

    Things I liked:

Very accurate offhand 5 shot repeater. The price...with the exception of my QB79 I can't think of a gun that is more fun to shoot for about $100. I added a 4x Leapers compact scope (Leapers 5th Gen 4x32AO Bug Buster Scope) and the one piece offset mount (Leapers Accushot 1-Pc Bi-directional Offset Mount w/1" Rings, High, 11mm ) this is a perfect combo for this gun.

    Things I would have changed:

These are minor issues...The weight. They should add some weight...the gun is VERY light. The finish..the stock has what appears to be a painted on texture. Make the scope rail longer./ make the receiver out of metal.

    What others should know:

I have read that some people are having issues with the magazines (buy extras). Some suggest you cover the holes with your fingers ..etc. I have found a very simple solution to this problem. After dropping the pellets into the mag I use the head of a small finish nail to GENTLY seat each pellet. Just the slightest pressure is all it takes to seat them so they will not fall out. Using this method I have not had a single jam or have a pellet fall out.

    Things I liked:

Two clips and a barrel clearing rod included. Impressive engineering. Cock it slowly and watch all of the parts move. Side-cockng is easy, and fun. Everybody wants to try it!

    Things I would have changed:

Mounting rail is short, and may not accommodate some scopes. Adjustable stock is nice, but not rock-solid. Instruction manual is a very basic.

    What others should know:

I bought this for my nine year old son who has some experience with his older brother's airguns. He loves it, although it took some effort for both of us to learn how to use it properly. It is compact and lightweight, so it may be a good choice for youth, however, It is not a simple rifle to use for us beginners. There are several steps for correct loading and firing, that aren't entirely obvious at first. The barrel can become jammed with multiple pellets if you don't pull the cocking lever all the way down each time. Unlike a break-barrel, you can't look down the bore of this gun to see if it is clear. The first thing we learned about it was that the clip is capable of flying over 8 feet if ejected just the wrong way. Many of the mechanism's moving parts are visible, and make a wonderful mechanical sound each time the airgun is being cocked. The airgun feels solid and the handrail is comfortable. Many of the metal parts have sharp edges, giving the airgun a slightly 'raw' character. There is no trigger safety button. SUMMARY; This would not be a good choice for first youth airgun, but certainly a home run for his next.

    Things I liked:

Appearance, accuracy, trigger pull, side lever cocking, lightweight, easy to accessorize, quick reload and target acquisition.

    Things I would have changed:

Make a better stock that is not as flimsy when fully extended. 11mm Dovetails should be metal. Make a stop or at least a marking indicating an empty 5 shot clip. Pellets seem to drop very quickly... especially heavy pellets even at close range. More power!! This gun would be great at about 550-600 FPS. A heavier spring and cocking lever to handle the increased power would be great.

    What others should know:

Seems to work best with lightweight match or dome pellets. Pointed pellets always fire but stick out of the 5 shot clip a bit which may cause pellet distortion when loading. Scopes can be mounted on the small 11mm dovetail rail if you have a bit of the mount hanging off the back edge of the rail. This works fine due to low recoil although due to the plastic dovetail rail your scope can move left and right if pushed with force. The front globe site can be unscrewed and flipped downwards to allow a clear scope view. The screw on the mount of a crosman flashlight fits perfectly on the side of the rear site allowing you to easily add a flashlight to this gun. Secure it with two zip ties if needed. You can use nail polish to mark the 3rd notch on the five shot clip to indicate your last shot to help prevent dry firing. Seems like a great gun for kids too due to the lightweight, adjustable stock and pistol grip! Check out the pictures above!

    Things I liked:

The feel of the nylon is just right. Not to smooth, not to rough. You never feel like it will slip through your hand. Very rugged. I bought 2 in Dec 2009 and we have run 1000+ Crosman Premier Super Match .177 Cal, 7.9 Grains, Wadcutters & 2000+ Crosman Competition .177 Cal, 7.4 Grains, Wadcutters without a single jam. Very accurate!

    Things I would have changed:

    Better rear sight.

    What others should know:

The stock has 2 adjustment holes. Remove the knurled knob and slide the stock off with it lying on its right side. You will see the retaining flanged nut in the cutout closest to the grip. You can slide it out and move it to the aft cutout and it gives you another 1 1/8" (30mm) of rearward travel on the stock. I put a Gamo® 4x32 mm Air Rifle Scope on the dovetail after moving the rings to fit. It is a very short dovetail.

    Things I liked:

Accurate. The gun shot very well with Gamo Match wadcutters as well as Crosman Competitions. The gun is light and easy to handle. I was concerned that the new plastic receiver would be a problem, but it was very well made and sturdy. Compactness. A gun gun to pull out and shoot for fun.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger. Very difficult to adjust to find the second stage. The newer guns don't have the fully adjustable triggers like the older guns. I finally was able to find the second stage when I adjusted the trigger screw out a little bit and VERY slowly squeezed the trigger. The trigger was a let down if you are basing your expectations from the older guns. Assume that it is a one stage for practical purposes.

    What others should know:

Excellent practice for the artillery hold. Hold the gun lightly and barely shoulder it. It will group nicely once you get the artillery technique down well. Can only be cleaned with a rod and cleaning patch. Not very easy. There's no way to use a brush because there's not enough room where the clip is housed to push the brush fully through the barrel. The only way to clean the barrel is probably to remove it...but obviously that would be a bad idea.
