Things I liked:

Accurate and not picky about pellets. Very little effort is required to pump just as advertised. Powerful enough to dispatch pretty much anything you want to with a brain shot.

Things I would have changed:

Difficult to adjust windage on factory sight. Needs a stronger magnet to hold mag and single shot tray in place.

What others should know:

Excellent air rifle and has instantly become my favorite squirrel gun. Has the accuracy and power of a decent PCP without needing all the extra stuff .

Things I liked:

Within 30 days, something went wrong with the trigger, it couldn't be moved, and the bolt came off. On the 40th day, the air pump rod pin came off and could not be found. PYRAMYD shirks responsibility and I will not return the goods even if I am willing to bear 20% of the loss.

    Things I would have changed:

screws on pump handle need to be loctited in, easy fix

Looks good. Pumps easily. Weight is OK. Feels comfortable.

    Things I would have changed:

Windage and elevation set screws are extremely loose. Need to correct. I lost a windage set screw. Provide an exploded view. Provide a parts list.

    What others should know:

Pay close attention to the screws. They fallout and are lost easily. Until I can find a replacement screw I am unable to rate accuracy.

    Things I liked:

Light weight, for the price - a finished wood stock, adjustable sights (windage and elevation), ease of pumping, suppressor ready, decent pellet velocity for the price point, and accuracy. I think you will enjoy this rifle, but don't expect it to last if used regularly. My overall rating would be five stars if it hadn't broke.

    Things I would have changed:

The fore-stock doesn't line up precisely with aft stock. It's offset to one side by 2-3mm. It will irritate those with OCD. No way to adjust it. I'd like a longer bolt lever, it's a little tricky cocking the bolt full aft with a scope mount kind of in the way. STRONGER HINGE PIN. It wasn't made to last...hinge pin broke after a little over a year and a half of once or twice a month target practice sessions.

    What others should know:

Pumping effort certainly took some breaking in. By the third or fourth shooting session, the pumping effort became easier and easier. Unfortunately, the hinge pin broke one year and seven months after purchase. I've shot maybe 250-350 rounds though it. Bummer because I really liked this rifle. I liked the light weight for plinking. Waiting to hear if Air Venturi is going to send me parts to fix myself, or if I have to ship it to Ohio for repairs since it's out of warranty. I was really upset at first, but remembered after all it is a "mid-range" (not high end) air rifle.

    Things I liked:

The gun is incredibly accurate, the trigger is nice, and it shoots well with almost any pellet.

    Things I would have changed:

The whole pivoting pump system is nice for making it easier to pump but its horribly unreliable. Started making a grinding sound halfway through the pump stroke and I had to take it apart and clean out a bunch of shavings of metal that were in the piston cylinder. Put it back together and it worked well for about 100 more shots before the linkage from the pump handle to the piston blew apart, sending a couple washers flying towards my face at like 100 mph.. very disappointed as I was starting to really love this gun before it started giving me these problems before I could even finish a tin of 500 pellets. Whats odd is that all these problems began shortly after doing my first round of maintenance by applying oil to the pivot points in the pump and a drop on the felt wiper. I did so using pure silicone oil as recommended in the manual to do so every 500 shots.

    What others should know:

DO NOT use pure silicone oil as suggested in the manual. Better off to just leave it alone.

    Things I liked:

dead on accurate out of the box. removed the rear sight and added a mantis 4x12x40 and went outside HOLLY CHRISTMAS COOKIES even more accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

beef up that 3-way pump linkage. Seems flimsy. When closed the pump handle doesn't quite line up with the stock? i rounded the angled tip on the pump handle so it wouldn't catch my shirt sleeve. all the time

    What others should know:

the mantis 4x12x40 i bought with it was a perfect match it goes down to 5 yards for indoor shooting and focuses. for 30-40 yards outdoors I shoot crow Mags for pestling in mine. 30 yard rat in the eye accurate. you don't have to close the pump handle all the way so it doesn't make that clacking noise Thay will never hear you coming.

    Things I liked:

This is the 6th AirVenturi refurb I have purchased from Pyramid Air, 3 Avengers, 2 Seneca Eagle Claws and this Dragonfly. All where in new condition and work perfectly. This rifle was no exception. One pump for indoor shooting at 10 meters ! I have many high power air guns, too powerful for indoors. This pumper is perfect for low power performance. It will probably last forever shooting only low power 1 to 3 pumps. The Dragonfly is essentially a pump version of the Diana Stormrider, which is one of my favorite pcp's. Same magazine's as Diana Airbug and Stormrider. I think these are made by Snowpeak, high quality, nice wood stocks, excellent triggers, accurate. Love it. Super fun shooting from my ez chair as I watch Utube.

    Things I would have changed:

The front picatinny rail is way too short. Same issue with the Stormrider. A short scope must have long eye relief in order to mount comfortably. I use a large scope to cure this issue. The open sights are excellent, by the way.

    What others should know:

I have read about durability issues with these. I occurs to me, when pumping it is important to align ones movements with the lever's operational plane to avoid unwanted side forces flexing the mechanism. This applies to any pumper, but I think the Dragonfly may be more susceptible to improper pumping technique.

    Things I liked:

Good weight. Great looks. High quality wood and metal components. 'New' Butterfly pumping mechanism makes subsequent pumps much easier -- if you can do one, you can do all of them (up to 15!). Best performing (FPE) as-is variable pumper available. Comes with both single-shot and multi-round magazines. Nice open sights. Very accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

Both of my Mk2's (.177 and .22 caliber) came shooting straight but low at 10 yards. In rectifying this, both ended up with their easily adjustable rear sight set to its highest setting, which isn't all that high. If I used the open sights as they're supposed to be used, both still would shoot a few millimeters low, so I have to use a smidge of Kentucky Windage to get the best accuracy! To be perfect (for me), the elevation adjustment screw needs to be another few millimeters longer, for just a bit more elevation. In trying to get the very best sight picture possible, I had the rear sight on my new .177 Mk2 set so close to its max height that the adjustable screw (which also holds everything in place) eventually worked loose during normal operation (also came loose on .22 model), sending the tiny spring inside flying. My wife and I EVENTUALLY found the accursed thing, although getting it back in place was more persnickety and time-consuming than one might hope. Needs a longer screw!

    What others should know:

Even with the rear sight problem, which might be unique to my rifles only, the .22/.177 caliber Seneca Dragonfly Mk2 probably is the very best variable pump pneumatic air rifle now available. The Crosman C2023 (I have number four hundred and something) might be better looking, easier to get the rear sight perfectly dialed in and IMO, just a hair easier to pump up (8 pumps vs. 15), but at twice the price, it can't match the performance of these high-quality, good-looking air rifles, which unlike the C2023 (or C362, about half the price of the Seneca), is available in both .22 and .177 calibers. If you're a fan of pumpers, or in need of a super-cheap, very quiet (both also are designed for easy addition of screw-on moderators), close-in rifle capable of bringing home small game, this is the one to beat. In my opinion, the .177 and/or .22 caliber Seneca Dragonfly MK2 air rifles represent a must-buy for fans of variable pumpers. Highly recommended.

    Things I liked:

wood stock, the ability to use open sights, ease of pumping,

    Things I would have changed:

smoother pivots not sure they make thrust washers that small (thorington bearing).

    What others should know:

I ordered this through amazon from pyramid AIR, if you read the 16 part review on the rifle its spot on, I fired 10 shots of benji discovery pellets (22 cal). to see if it was going to work for me. I wanted a pumper to shoot open sights and accurate, this rifle is a replacement for benji sheridan with synthectic stock, any way 10 shots bout 30 yards bottom of pop can quarter size group maybe a little bigger this is right out of the box, first shot was 1.5 in low i compensated by aiming that high. no complaints about the rifle its perfect for what im looking for on a budget. I will be getting this in 177 cal too soon. as others have said pumping is a little sticky, trigger was firm could be a lighter pull, however i assume after a few thousand rounds and proper care it will smoother. if your wondering about this gun or the synthetic stock benji sheridan the dragonfly beats its it hands down in my opinion.

    Things I liked:

Easy pumper. Just had left shoulder replacement. After two weeks out of sling was pumping on rifle. Very accurate. And hard hitting on birds. Easy to site in with after market scope I bought also.

    Things I would have changed:

The pin that holds the three bars together SNAPPED in half after less than on 200 can of pellets. Getting it fixed. 5-6 weeks. Bummer. Buying another rifle while waiting.

    What others should know:

Does any other owner have the same problem with the pin. I never felt the need to pump more than the 20 times so don’t think was a problem. Let’s hear from you if you have.

This air rifle delivers on all it's claims, can't believe it's only $200

    Things I would have changed:

Add a Picatinny rail under the forearm for attaching a bipod, sling, or other gear as might be needed. Easy enough to do yourself.

    What others should know:

Read the blog here on the rifle, accurate enough to merit a decent scope, ditch the open sights, and enough power to make a decent distance shot with confidence! Get the 10 for $10, so a flawed gun doesn't leave the store, and check the chronograph results, well worth the $10!

    Things I liked:

Wood stock, 1/2 -20 threaded barrel, pumping effort and cycle, open sights and scope able , metal construction

    Things I would have changed:

Figure a way to quite the linkage from “clacking” little delrin washers or something. Pic rail instead of dove tail. Thread lock hardware

    What others should know:

Love the way it feels, not a chincy plastic thing. Lock-tite the screws they will fall out. 3/4 inch groups at 20yds with most pellets. Crosman premier 10.5gr domed are the most accurate so far, stacking 3 with 2 more just out for very acceptable accuracy (35 yds) 55 yds will keep most shots on a golf ball throwing a flier now and then, don’t know why ammo, rifle, or me, lpvo used. Best accuracy at 10 pumps for an avg of 715 fps 10.5 gr Crosman. About 200 shots in it started to bind the linkage with lots of oil on it, I cleaned everything I could get to, the oil foggy with metal break in.Re oiled it and it was good. Erratic accuracy out of no where = loose parts or fouling. If your shopping a pumper I would get this over any other offerings at the moment, when the kinks are worked out it’s pretty good, durability to be determined. The pumping is different in action than traditional ones but once you get used to it, also I’ve only used the single shot tray so I can’t speak to the mags

    Things I liked:

    Everything especially the price.

    Things I would have changed:

There seems to be some quality control issues along the line. After extensive shooting and two different scope installations, I could not correct the elevation no matter what I did, it shot exactly 3" low. After setting the stripped action into a machine rest I discovered that the mid barrel band was deflecting the barrel by 1/64" and nothing except removing the offending barrel band fixed it. Now the rifle shoots like a sewing machine. I easily use it peep sighted or scoped for extreme show shooting for money or beer. Wish the Senior Games did not get cancelled this year I could dominate with this rifle in my class. Looking forward to some Local Lodge grudge matches with this rifle.

    What others should know:

For the most part, this is like the 5th air gun that I have received from many different manufacturers and they all were firing, non functioning (could not hit anything) air arms.

    Things I liked:

The price for what you get is exceptional, beyond compare. Excellent fit and finish thru the entire gun and that was just based on taking it out of the box. Now that I have cleaned, fine tuned, scoped and shot a lot of lead (1000 rds +) this is one of my favorite air rifles, 2nd right behind my FWB300S but only way bigger fire power with competing accuracy. It is unfair to compare open sight FWB to scoped MK2, but I am certain $199 MK2 can compete shot for shot with my FWB with standard open match sights.

    Things I would have changed:

I would not have spent the $399 for my Centenial Crossman and instead bought two of the MK2 for the same price.

    What others should know:

Hindsight is always best, I had planned on buying another Crossman Centennial until I just realized I can get two MK2s for the same price?

    Things I liked:

I love the way it looks. It's going to be a classic one day. Fits in your hands and functions very well from the bolt to the pump action. Well made and versatile. It comes with a single shot tray and a rotary magazine that i love. It can also be fitted with a scope and it becomes a bullseye shooter. Make sure that you use medium height scope rings so that the magazine fits under the scope.

    Things I would have changed:

I wish it had an adjustable trigger like the Diana Stormrider since they are built on the same breech and bolt carrier and magazine.

    What others should know:

First thing you should do is clean the gun. From the bore to all external surfaces, it's got alot of packaging grease on it. Also the gun will require some break-in shooting before the pump mechanism smoothes out (100 shots) then check all screws because they will loosen then put a few drops of lube in the pump and mechanism and your good to go. This multi pump pellet gun will put to shame all others. I can't imagine that you would be disappointed in this rifle. This is my second one, I gave my first one to a good friend. You will want others to be able to enjoy this.

Easy to pump , a moderator can be used , magazine feed or single shot option . Makes good power .

    Things I would have changed:

Magazine seem kinda of cheesy , not a big fan of rotating a cover to wind a spring , Only 1 mag is included . Extras are very expensive . This is my second example .177 caliber my first one was plagued with problems as in sticking in both directions , screws loosening and falling out . So far better luck with the second one . Goes to show the hype is not always true . Better quality control is needed .

    What others should know:

This would never replace my Sheridan Silver Steak 20 caliber even though it is much harder to pump and much louder . Made in the USA and better quality by a long ways . Vintage airguns rule! Would I recommend the Senaca to anyone ? I would say make sure it works as designed before the return window closes . I gave mine every chance .

    Things I liked:

The fact that the 1st and 15th pump take the same amount of effort is awesome, it threaded and the trigger isn't too bad for being a single stage non adjustable.

    Things I would have changed:

The end cap on mine was pulling down the end of the barrel creating some really odd accuracy issues, I feel like this was a quality issue at the factory. Like the hole for the barrel in the receiver was drilled at an angle. Some days it shot great other days all I could get was minute of paper plate accuracy.

    What others should know:

This is a slow down and take your time gun, if you try to pump this gun fast you're most likely going to prematurely wear out the pump linkages or end up bending something. That said, one pump per second at a steady pace is still pretty quick. Buy the new one, I went with a refurb, the pump arm was bent or twisted out of the box and the pump arm never closed all the way, sticking down about a quarter of an inch.
