Description
The Seneca Dragonfly Mk2 Multi-Pump Air Rifle by Air Venturi is an accurate and versatile multi-pump pneumatic air rifle that features improvements compared to the prior model. Capable of full-power velocities (with lead pellets) up to 890 FPS in .177 and 800 FPS in .22, it provides the necessary power for small-game hunting, pest control, and plinking.
At first glance, this version of the air rifle is similar to the older model. However, the longer wooden portion on the forearm conceals the secret of the upgraded technology: a patented butterfly high efficiency pump system. This improved system lowers the pumping effort by 50% compared to the original while also keeping the effort consistent across each pump stroke, instead of constantly increasing like the older version and many competing air rifles.
The Seneca Dragonfly Mk2 is a multi-pump, so it allows shooters to vary the power level based on the situation and the type of shooting desired. With a range of 3-15 pumps, shooters can go from quiet backyard plinking that won't disturb the neighbors to powerful small-game hunting, simply by using the easy and consistent pump technology to add more air to the reservoir.
In order to provide accurate shots immediately, the air gun utilizes a fixed fiber optic front sight and a rear sight that adjusts for windage and elevation. For additional options for adding a scope, this air rifle also has an 11mm dovetail optics rail. The 1/2"x20 threaded muzzle cap allows for further customization, allowing a moderator or air stripper to be added easily.
To get a light and convenient wood stock air rifle with the flexibility to excel at a range of shooting types, and features that make it well-suited to pest control, plinking, and small-game hunting, buy a Seneca Dragonfly Mk2 Multi-Pump Air Rifle from Pyramyd AIR today.

Very well built,
Things I Would Have ChangedSharp edges on forearm
What Others Should KnowEverything ended well, but the first one i received was a dud. But pyramid air took care of me and in a matter of days I received a replacement air rifle and it has been a great pesting rifle out 30 yds so far
Well this was my second one. I wanted the rifle to work so bad I got a replacement. It didn't work either. Thankfully this company has great customer service.
Things I Would Have ChangedQuality control.
What Others Should KnowGun shot only a few times before making a whining noise. After that no pressure. This was the replacement for the first one. I noticed the serial numbers were only 3 off from the first one I got so maybe it was a bad batch. Also a screw from the forearm was laying in the box. Finally, just got refund.
First off, I own about 25 airguns now, but raised on the Daisy Powerline and the Crosman 2100, these were very impressive. I bought two .22 cals, one for each of my sons Christmas 2022. Put $120 scopes on each and sighted them in. Shot very rarely. Last week I put up a target with a nickel size dot at 22 yards and my 11 year old put a whole mag of JSB 14.35s in the red. Took it out a day or two later using my chrony and tested for FPE with the JSB 14.35s, 15.89s, 18.19s and 25.35s. In order, we got 17.57, 17.8, 18.4 and 20.0. It's always nice to have a gun outperform it's advertising. I have similar results with my other son's gun as far as accuracy, I just have not done the power test yet, but expect them to be very, very close. Both very easy to pump for the power you get.
Things I Would Have ChangedMy son saw one of the screws that fasten the forestock with the pumping arm fall out. As we put it back in we noticed that one of the three were gone. Probably fell out without us noticing. Kinda my fault, I should have checked them earlier, but they should be designed to not come out so easily. Easy fix with a $39 Dragonfly repair kit from PA. Trigger is a little stiff and has some creep for sure. A little TLC with some polishing should do fine. Not a bad trigger though.
What Others Should KnowTake out pumping arm screws, clean with alcohol and put some blue Loctite on them. BLUE not red. Spray a little Ballistol on pumping arm hinges and wipe off excess. This will smooth out pumping action significantly. Take some sand paper or dremel and smooth out the edges of the wooden forestock where your hand come in contact with it, out of the box, it's rather sharp. Just make sure to cover internals as not to get sawdust in places it shouldn't be. These guns are well worth the money IMO. To my surprise, with heavier pellets (25.35gr) they shoot as hard as my two Walther Parrus's and my two NP's. Pretty amazing being that they are so easy to pump.
This gun shoots really good, even at just 3 pumps. Very accurate at 25yards, and still pretty good at 50yards (with a few more pumps). Magazine was rough loading heavier pellets, took it apart and smoothed the loading port/hole, all is well now. Bought the package deal with the cheapest mantis scope, and everything works really well!
Things I Would Have ChangedTrigger not very smooth. Magazines don't load bigger pellets without smoothing out loading port inside the magazine.
What Others Should KnowGreat to use at 3 pumps for close range, and still good at more pumps at longer ranges. Not too loud, but added a Buckrail suppressor and it is very quiet now.
Arrived well packaged, bluing is descent as is the stock. Feels like a solid well made air rifle.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe wood on the forearm has sharp edges
What Others Should KnowGreat power with minimal pumps
The wood finish was nice. Good for show. Works with Diana Storm Chaser magazine and suppressor.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe pump arm mechanism rattles a lot during the stroke. Also the whole apparatus is too light to resist deflection from the centerline. Additionally the metal pump arm has a lot of side to side play within the wood pump arm channel amplifying the clopping of horse hooves sound as it cycles. This side to side wobble makes for unsteady pump strokes.
What Others Should KnowIncorrect suppressor specification. Not 1/2 x20 UNF. It fits the Diana Chaser suppressor M10 x 1.00
The concept is for sure cool, the magazine is decent-ish, and the threaded end is excellent.
Things I Would Have ChangedThey have the capability to put in a better trigger for the same price, don't be deceived by that. This trigger is terrible terrible terrible. Multipumps could be incredibly popular, if they'd put in a proper match trigger. So bad. Length of pull is fine for a child, but not an adult if you use optics. The optics rail was an after-thought and they failed to make it functional, especially with the ultra short stock.
What Others Should KnowThis product isn't there yet. You will be frustrated. (but let's hope for a future product that checks the boxes, they can do it I'm confident)
I like the simplicity and multi pump function. Multi shot magazine. I started many moons ago with a Sheridan Blue Streak. I’m teaching my grandchildren shooting skills. I saw Ted’s review, looking to get yet another Sheridan/Crossmann. I liked the review. And being from Kenosha,,I trusted his review. Bottom line. Reliable, easy to pump compared to the older designs. Accurate for its reasonable price point. I’ve been shooting this one, and shooting nickel size groups at 25 yards. I’m shooting the iron-sites for now. Once the tribe is ready, I’ll definitely mount some glass for chapter two of their training. Terry&ThePirates South Florida
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing for what I expected.
What Others Should KnowI’ve found over the years that an air rifle or pistol is a must have. Target shooting indoors or out. Pest control.
The classic look, ease of pumping, accuracy and it comes suppressor ready.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing
What Others Should KnowI installed BigJs forearm screw kit and his trigger grub screw. I did this because my rifle had a very long trigger pull plus my pump arm screws kept falling out. Problem solved now I have an extremely nice short predictable trigger pull! It's not pellet picky but my rifle loves JSB 18.13 grain pellets. It's hole in hole at my basement 15 yard target. They give me 665 fps / 17.80 ft. Lbs. Wish I would have got this before I picked up the Crosman 362 and dumped a bunch of money into it.

I was hoping for a quiet pumping , not like those shake flashlights but it still has a little metallic rattle, I'm thinking maybe I could install nylon bushings? Very easy to pump and very accurate , I had no problem hitting a rat in the head . Now I need a small night vision scope . I can make it a little more silent to pump I believe it should last a long time.
Things I Would Have ChangedI'm a big fan of all metal and real wood, this plastic is ok I guess until it gets set to close to the stove. Aluminum or brass sights would be better shrouds from tempered tin
What Others Should KnowThis rifle really feels good maybe a bit long in the stock /1" , but with a metal but plate carbine style probly faster on the shot
