    Things I liked:

The Gauntlet 2 in .25 is a tack driver and it has plenty of knock down power. I zero'd it for 35yds and put pellet after pellet into a ragged hole. I tried using slugs after zeroing with pellets but had slugs all over the target. I used a Benjamin Hand pump to fill it to 3,600lbs which is the max for that hand pump. I was able to easily adjust the cheek comb. It performed very well, it had no leaks or issues. It is plenty quiet for my use, Not exactly stealth mode but not too Loud either. I would buy again and I would recommend it to others.

    Things I would have changed:

Pulling the bolt all the way back is difficult compared to my older Benjamin Marauder .22 PCP rifle. I'd like to see the new style T-Bolt with easy pull on this rifle. Also the safety makes a very loud noise when taking Off safe mode. Your game will hear it:)

    What others should know:

When you buy it be sure and buy plenty of pellets because you're going to want to keep shooting it:)

    Things I liked:

The first one I received was horrible all the way around. The only good thing about it was that I returned it, and they sent another gun.

    Things I would have changed:

Bolt would not cycle smoothly, pellets jammed in mag/barrel, accuracy was awful, and the trigger felt like it was full of sand. Second gun felt/was better in accuracy, but still all other areas the same. I purchased/installed a "kit" for the gun, and after MUCH fussing/fiddling, and tuning, I got the gun to shoot acceptably. This gun is bulky and heavy. the forearm around the tank is HUGE and difficult to hold/grip.....while the rear stock is overly skinny/narrow, and not at all comfortable. The factory trigger is nothing short of HORRIBLE. LONG creep and very gritty feel. Accuracy with installing a "kit" was bad on both guns...and in 1 1/2"+ @ 30 yrds, and even wider further out.

    What others should know:

Using the Benjamin Marauder as a comparison, the Gauntlet 2 is a very poor choice for the money. It just takes far too much to make it shoot even acceptably. I would totally recommend the Benjamin Marauder over this gun. Simply put, it's everything this gun is not. I've owned several Umarex guns, and have not like/care for any of them....including this lemon. The Marauder, or even the Avenger would be far better choices then this gun.

    Things I liked:

This thing is very accurate. I put a 5 shot group with 50 grain JSB pellets inside a half inch bullseye at 50 yards. I also really like the adjustable cheek piece so that I can get the perfect cheek weld.

    Things I would have changed:

The grip/trigger. I cant grab my normal grip because the trigger is just a bit too far to hit the bend of my shooting finger. I would also Change the trigger. The trigger pull is crazy long. However, the break comes is indistinguishable and comes as a surprise every time.

    What others should know:

When airing up the tank it stopped airing up and started leaking at 2000 psi and then wouldn't hold air at all. Umerex said they had a batch go out with that issue but the fix was just to tighten the bleeder port.

    Things I liked:

The Gauntlet 2 .22 cal. Is my first PCP. A great choice after much research. Accurate and a high shot count. Pryramid Air did a good job on the inspection and proof shots. Will be considering other products from this reliable source for my airgunning.

    Things I would have changed:

Bolt is a bit stiff and wish all had the adapter for a moderator.

    What others should know:

    Excellent choice.

    Nothing at this time.

    What others should know:

I read reviews that some customers cant fill their gun cause it leaks air, mine also leaked when I tried to fill it . It will get up to around 2000 psi and stay there so I turned off my compressor and I heard the leak coming out of the muzzle I did a close inspection of the gun and noticed that the degassing key port was blocked by a rubber insert unlike my G-2 25 cal. I found out that the degassing port on the gauntlet 30 was relocated under the fore end grip. I used the Allen wrench that came with the gun to close it and reconnected my compressor and it filled all the way to 4500psi in 9 - 10 min. from 0.

    Things I liked:

    Massive power and extremely accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

Incredibly loud, Add more internal baffles. Add strap points so I don't have to lug this thing around. Offer a carbon fiber tank as an option.

    What others should know:

Heavy, heavy, heavy. Added the biggest Donny suppressor and it's still loud. It is a real bear to cock this thing. Hopefully it will get easier with use. Don't rely on just ballistic putty to stop these pellets. Back up your targets with steel. And clean out and repack your putty often.

    Things I liked:

Never got to shoot the gun. It showed up with the air tank loose, when I tightened it the filler would not line up no matter how many time I unscrewed and rescrewed . I tried to air it up would not hold air. went on Youtube and watched a review of the gun, not good.

    Things I would have changed:

I will never order another without the 10 for $10 test

    What others should know:

Umarex did not finish this gun before releasing it. I still want one but I will wait till the reviews are good. AS always Pyramyd took the gun back with no problem. exellent service

    Things I liked:

The Umarex Gaunlet 2 is a very accurate PCP rifle out to 30 yards, and likely even farther. After receiving the rifle I shot nearly 250 rounds through it using various weight pellets which are known for their accuracy. Most of my three round groups had at least two shots touching each other or within a millimeter of each other, using a front and rear shooting bag off a bench. My As next session will test the rifle to 50 yards with some of the heavier weight pellets. It is a "bolt action" rifle which uses 10 round rotary magazines. As such it is not built for exceptionally fast follow up shots. I had no issues with the magazines feeding various types of pellets. I am charging the rifle using a portable PCP compressor. It can be charged using a high pressure hand pump, but doing so will give the user a real workout.

    Things I would have changed:

The Umarex Gauntlet is not a small pellet rifle. It weights around 8 pounds. A lighter rifle would be desirable, but the Gauntlet 2 has a fairly large pressure tank and a regulator controls the air pressure used for each shot. These features make up for the increased weight and size in my opinion. The action on my rifle seems to be a bit stiff, especially when compared to the actions on most centerfire bolt action rifles. This does not make for quick follow up shots, which is not an issue when target shooting, but it may be if one uses the rifle for hunting.

    What others should know:

Call me a "whimp" if you wish. When I first bought my Umarex Gauntlet 2 I was using a high pressure hand pump to charge it. Doing so is not an easy process by any means. I recommend a portable PCP compressor to charge this rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

Air cylinder needs to come from factory with fill port & gauge in right position & tight on the rifle.

    What others should know:

Got JSB Diabolo .30 cal 50.15 grain Domed Pellets & it likes them better than Hatsan Vortex Strike 48.60 grain. Dime size or less group at 25 yards. First kill on squirrel this morning at 20 yards, head shot. Installed barrel band from Hajimoto & s.30 cal suppressor.

    Things I liked:

Once you get one that is not defective it is an AMAZING value. It shoots like a dream. My current one has a smooth trigger, a bolt which functions easily and ergonomics well suited to the bench. I was in disbelief of how accurately it shoots at 50 yards. I believe the fact that the JSB 30 cal pellets are not as prone to deform in shipping and handling as are the smaller caliber pellets also contribute to the accuracy.

    Things I would have changed:

Umarex initial quality control is shaky. My first one was ridiculously difficult to cock, could not hold air and had a very long, rough, creepy trigger. Fortunately, PA customer service is remarkably good and they exchanged it.

    What others should know:

Even my replacement G30 leaked air until it was shot many times (my initial range session consisted of 21 shots) and then everything settled in and all was good. When it is right it is a a wonderful gun! The reason for the four star rating rather than five is due to initial quality issues.

Gun showed up with tons of scratches on it, and it looks like somebody tried to cover that up with a sharpie. From the first time I filled it up, MASSIVE AIR LEAK. About 500 psi leaking out per hour. Im sure if I got an honest new gun, I wouldnt be having these problems. Ill see if I can exchange it and update my review.

    Things I would have changed:

The barrel is not held tight by nothing .The plastic part that is stopost to help gas way to much play in-between the barrel and the plastic.

    What others should know:

You will need to tighten up the air tank and some screws there production line can be better .

The degassing . I've received 2 Gauntlet2 in .25 cal and had the same degassing problem. The first time I returned it was no problem. The 2nd time was a PIA. I chatted with Doug, and he gave me the 3d degree then told me to return it to Umarex for a Warramtu claim. So much to "Returns being painless' as stated in Pyramyd airs Return Policy. He had me so PO with all the irrelevant questioning.

    What others should know:

Yeah. If you end up chatting with Doug for warranty issues, HE WILL MAKE IT EXTREMELY HARD FOR YOU!!

    Things I would have changed:

Better trigger to begin with. Safety is annoying. Being more adjustable.

    What others should know:

I purchased this rifle in a .25 cal. Being my 1st .25 after a upgraded .22 Marauder, this is a bit jumpy at the shot. The trigger doesn't help that any. It's a pain to adjust, but I was able to shorten the travel to where its bearable. Next I need to lighten it up. It shoots very well in my bog pod death grip, or off of bags. I will most likely just use it for plinking or prairie dog hunting, since its fairly heavy. Mine loves the mk2 heavies. Last time I had it out I was consistently hitting a monster can at 100 yards. When the wind finally decides to be less than 30 mph, I'm going to push it out 150-200. I like having a bottle, and the capacity of it. Just wish I could tune the gun. Last thing my probe O-rings went bad after just 3 mags and needed to be replaced. I emailed Umarex about it but they never messaged me back, If I had a chance to do it over, I would have purchased my avenger first and never bought this.

I chose the 25 cal. I paid 365.00 delivered to my door here on a crazy 20% off sale. Went and bought a compressor after the first trip to the dive shop. This is an awesome air rifle for the money. Best 365.00 I ever spent. Grackles are in trouble.

    Things I liked:

Accuracy is dead on. Most accurate air rifle I've shot with JSB MK2 Heavies. Looks grew on me pretty quickly especially with a nice scope on there and using the accessory rails. Shot count is pretty amazing. In .25 caliber it's quite a bit more than the 50+ they advertise. Power is between 49-53 FPE depending what ammo you choose. I suggest JSB MK2 Heavies... insanely accurate and lays down a smack. I've learned to forgive the quirks of this rifle because it makes me look like a much better shooter than I probably am.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger, from what I understand, is a good trigger if you do a little work on it. I haven't yet, so it's got a long spongy pull. Not that hard to get used to but it could be better. The way the front part of the plastic stock screws to the back part (it needs to be 2 parts so you can remove the tank) seems a little flimsy, but I haven't had any problems with it and don't expect to. The cocking bolt started off a little gritty but it's broken in well. I don't have a problem with it but I suppose some people would prefer a side lever. Took me a while to get used to the "ergonomics" of the narrow plastic stock. Again, when you see how accurate this thing shoots, you get used to it pretty quick.

    What others should know:

I shoot this more than any gun in my collection. I will be buying the .30 caliber for sure.

I bought the .22 cal and I'm getting at least 80 before drop. I can only test at 25yds in my yard and it practically hits the same hole.

Make it a 2 stage trigger.

    What others should know:

Don't expect much from Umarex Customer Service. I called them about the gauge not reaching 4500psi and they gave me the impression that they could care less. I've called them a few times and the first time it sounded like the man I was speaking with was eating chips or something in a loud bag and very crunchy. In my opinion Umarex Customer Service don't really care about you once you've bought their product. This will be my last Umarex just because of their POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!
