Description
The Umarex Gauntlet 2 PCP Air Rifle is the eagerly-anticipated updated version of the airgun that helped set a new standard for affordable accuracy and power. This model is capable of velocities up to 1075 FPS in .22, 985 FPS in .25, and 1000 FPS in .30, and with muzzle energy up to 33 FPE in .22, 51 FPE in .25, and 99 FPE in .30, has the necessary power for pest control and small game hunting.
The improvement shooters will appreciate the most is the larger air tank, with 24 cubic inches of volume, and higher fill and regulator pressure. These increases lead to more shots (over 70 in .22 and over 50 in .25) and more power compared to the older model.
The bolt now features a larger knurled handle with 15% less cocking effort, and the all-weather synthetic stock has been redesigned to make it lighter and more compact, in addition to changing the color to flat dark earth. Despite the added power and shots, the air rifle is now quieter when shooting due to a four baffle design that reduces the sound of a shot by 8 dB over the original Gauntlet.
For adding a scope, the Gauntlet 2 features an upgraded Picatinny/dovetail optics rail, and there are also M-LOK slots on both sides and the bottom of the forearm for mounting accessories such as lights, lasers, and bipods. To get an air rifle that provides ample power and accuracy for small-game hunting and pest control while remaining surprisingly budget-friendly, buy an Umarex Gauntlet 2 PCP Air Rifle today at Pyramyd AIR.

Pyramdair is great but the umerax gauntlet 2 I have had 3 of them and the bolt handle have fallen out of the gun and I have got a hold of umarex and they do not show any interest in work to stand behind there guns and not willing to take care of business I will never buy umarex ever again
Things I Would Have ChangedNot to but umarex
What Others Should KnowUmarex gauntlet 2 has a problem and I have got the three I have over about a two year time line and had same problem so I do not think that have did anything about it yet
xxxx
Things I Would Have Changedbolt hard to pull, trigger pull toward and long
What Others Should Knowxxxx
Power. Accuracy. Umarex Customer Service - They are quick to respond and provide competent repair service.. It’s a fine bench rested gun anf is truly an excellent value.
Things I Would Have ChangedIt is loud .. my only PCP which truly needed a moderator. It is a bit gangly .. too much for off-handed hunting in my opinion.
What Others Should KnowYou can buy an Umarex with confidence .. their customer service has been exceptional.
I never EVER thought of say these words!!! BUT, my 25 M-Rod, has been beaten!!! I own SEVERAL airguns, and this 30 is setting in first place!!! Did the 10 fir $10, NEVER buy a gun without doing that!!! The gun is a dead accurate, flat shooting, powerhouse!!! Furthest shot 75-80 yard Squirrel, while out Coyote hunting with it today... I'll do what I wish EVERYONE should be made to do, and give you what the gun loves... LOVES, JSB match 50,15gr "7.62mm" LOVES JSB KnockOut's 50,15gr "7.62mm" LOVES: FX 44.5gr Hybrid slugs "7.62mm" "{HATES}" Pollymags!! Sighted in at 60ish yards all within a dime to a nickel AND, ALL 3 SHOOT THE SAME SPOT!!! You CAN use 1 of each and they WILL be touching each bullet!!! Outta ALL my guns ONLY my M-Rod will do that besides this 30... My 25 M-Rod will put JSB's AND Pollymags in the same hole! I can shoot 2 of each, an they'll be in, or touching the others holes @50 yards... This 30 will shoot all 3 the same! I LOVE THIS GUN!!!!
Things I Would Have ChangedHeavy but very well balanced... Had to engineer a sling mount at the top, drilled and installed one at the bottom... They should be able to incorporate one into the gun during manufacturing I'd think though... The only true complaint I have, would be that when it's being carried on your shoulder with the sling, the bolt is not tight so it WILL open and slide down threw the mag. So be careful to take the mag out FIRST so you won't double load it... I fixed the issue easily with a rubber band like on my QB Chief... Don't buy that QB Chief, I have 2 "what a headache" So just take a rubber band, wrap it around the trigger guard, then twist the rubber band once, and put it around your bolt... It will hold the bolt down while washing with it shouldered... AND you can still work the bolt easily, it just won't let it open and slide down, while your carrying it with a sling... That's my only complaint is the bolt, and how much does a rubber band cost? 99 cents for 100...
What Others Should KnowYou will NOT regret buying this gun, that been said, there are Lemons!!!
That's why I do the 10 fir $10...
But I've dealt with PA, and ONLY since it's opened, and have NEVER had an issue they haven't fixed immediately.
That's why I only buy from them...
Well besides them losing my account last year, and having to make this new one, that sucked, but anyway lol
Budget pcp capable of keeping up with high end pcp’s
Things I Would Have ChangedAdd a tougher sturdy barrel band to the stock
The performance of this gun so far has been a bit beyond belief. Talking about consistence shot after shot after shot. I pretty much suck as far as hitting my mark when it comes to shooting, I have always been in way too much of a hurry to get a decent shot. This gun makes me feel like some sort of sharp shooter lol. It does just as advertised and it does it shot after shot after shot. I changed out pellets from lighter to heavy and back again with no adjustments to my shooting and on paper it looked like I had just shot a few times as they kept going through the same hole.
Things I Would Have ChangedNot sure what happened to this particular gun, but mine came in pretty rough shape. I had screws stripped out that hold the shroud over the air cylinder and just over all dirty or like it had been sitting out for a long time. When I told Pyramyd Air about it they looked to see if they had some replacement screws for me, but they didn't so they suggested I contact the manufacture for some or I could return the gun and have it replaced. Well I had already mounted a scope and bi-pod and taken it to the range by the time I had heard back so I am a owner.
What Others Should KnowBefore I purchased this gun I had purchased the regular Gauntlet with the hunting kit included and I don't know who was responsible for the condition of that gun, but it was in excellent shape. I tried to find something that was dirty or finger prints, nothing is what I found. This gun was so clean I didn't want to shoot it much less touch it. I have never had a gun so clean ever. Things were not the same when I purchased the Gauntlet 2. This said, I would highly recommend this gun for anything you might have in mind for it. It makes bad shooters like me look good.
Pros: PRICE! Seems solid, not that loud, and supressors are easily available. Good "entry level" rifle
Things I Would Have ChangedCocking mechanism is brutal (at first at least), has de-gas underneath that must be VERY tight, heavyweight gun
What Others Should KnowCheck tightness of de-gas screw upon receipt, feels like you are going to literally break it getting it cocked- as least the first few shots
I haven't shot it as much as I would like but so far, it is shooting tight groups with both slugs and pellets. Plenty of power.
Things I Would Have ChangedIt would be a whole lot better if it was side lever instead of bolt action and maybe as a bullpup
What Others Should KnowI have only been getting 2 magazines before needing to refill
Accurate and powerful. Excellent shot count and comfortable to shoot with the adjustable cheek piece.
Things I Would Have ChangedFit and finish needs work, as a lot of reviewer‘s have commented On this . When I received mine today, the magazines could not be inserted due to metal burrs in the breach. It almost ruined my day. I had to take a small rubber mallet to get the magazine to get past the burrs, and after that, I had no problem. I received two magazines, gratis, with this air gun, and ordered five additional ones. All of the magazines had this problem. I would like to have had an adapter attached to the end of the shroud for silencer. I bought one from DonnyFL For $40 +5 dollar shipping. The trigger is horrible. It takes just one and a fraction pound of force to fire the gun but the travel is excessive and there’s really no indication as to when you’ll hit the spot that will fire the gun. I ordered a trigger kit from www.hajimoyoproductions.com
What Others Should KnowThis is a big gun, I had to order a 53 inch hard case to accommodate it. It’s also relatively heavy. And balanced more towards the muzzcle. The force needed to cock the bolt is substantial., Yet the Gauntlet 2 claims to have 15% less force required than on the Gauntlet 1. I suggest that purchasers of this air gun have a look at Hajhimoto productions to see all of the ways you can upgrade, this air gun. I got the best results, accuracy, wise with JSB, Exact King, Heavy Diablo Mark II, 25 caliber at 33.95 grains which produced slightly more than 60 foot pounds of energy at about 902 ft./s. Pryamyd Air is my first choice for purchasing any type of air gun because of their 60 day satisfaction, guarantee and the testing services that they offer to make sure that you receive a gun that’s accurate and has no leaks. (I still can’t believe that such testing did not reveal the magazine insertion problem I had)

It is very accurate. Has a good trigger pull.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe bolt is a little harder to pull back then I would like.
What Others Should KnowFor the price, still a very good deal.
