Umarex Gauntlet 2 PCP Air Rifle
Please note: The .30 caliber includes 1/2"x20 threads to easily add a moderator
The Umarex Gauntlet 2 PCP Air Rifle is the eagerly-anticipated updated version of the airgun that helped set a new standard for affordable accuracy and power. This model is capable of velocities up to 1075 FPS in .22, 985 FPS in .25, and 1000 FPS in .30, and with muzzle energy up to 33 FPE in .22, 51 FPE in .25, and 99 FPE in .30, has the necessary power for pest control and small game hunting.
The improvement shooters will appreciate the most is the larger air tank, with 24 cubic inches of volume, and higher fill and regulator pressure. These increases lead to more shots (over 70 in .22 and over 50 in .25) and more power compared to the older model.
The bolt now features a larger knurled handle with 15% less cocking effort, and the all-weather synthetic stock has been redesigned to make it lighter and more compact, in addition to changing the color to flat dark earth. Despite the added power and shots, the air rifle is now quieter when shooting due to a four baffle design that reduces the sound of a shot by 8 dB over the original Gauntlet.
For adding a scope, the Gauntlet 2 features an upgraded Picatinny/dovetail optics rail, and there are also M-LOK slots on both sides and the bottom of the forearm for mounting accessories such as lights, lasers, and bipods. To get an air rifle that provides ample power and accuracy for small-game hunting and pest control while remaining surprisingly budget-friendly, buy an Umarex Gauntlet 2 PCP Air Rifle today at Pyramyd Air.

Things I would have changed:Trigger Safety
What others should know:I chose the 25 cal. I paid 365.00 delivered to my door here on a crazy 20% off sale. Went and bought a compressor after the first trip to the dive shop. This is an awesome air rifle for the money. Best 365.00 I ever spent. Grackles are in trouble.

Accuracy is dead on. Most accurate air rifle I've shot with JSB MK2 Heavies. Looks grew on me pretty quickly especially with a nice scope on there and using the accessory rails. Shot count is pretty amazing. In .25 caliber it's quite a bit more than the 50+ they advertise. Power is between 49-53 FPE depending what ammo you choose. I suggest JSB MK2 Heavies... insanely accurate and lays down a smack. I've learned to forgive the quirks of this rifle because it makes me look like a much better shooter than I probably am.
Things I would have changed:The trigger, from what I understand, is a good trigger if you do a little work on it. I haven't yet, so it's got a long spongy pull. Not that hard to get used to but it could be better. The way the front part of the plastic stock screws to the back part (it needs to be 2 parts so you can remove the tank) seems a little flimsy, but I haven't had any problems with it and don't expect to. The cocking bolt started off a little gritty but it's broken in well. I don't have a problem with it but I suppose some people would prefer a side lever. Took me a while to get used to the "ergonomics" of the narrow plastic stock. Again, when you see how accurate this thing shoots, you get used to it pretty quick.
What others should know:I shoot this more than any gun in my collection. I will be buying the .30 caliber for sure.

Looks nice and has a nice shot count per fill.
Things I would have changed:Better trigger to begin with. Safety is annoying. Being more adjustable.
What others should know:I purchased this rifle in a .25 cal. Being my 1st .25 after a upgraded .22 Marauder, this is a bit jumpy at the shot. The trigger doesn't help that any. It's a pain to adjust, but I was able to shorten the travel to where its bearable. Next I need to lighten it up. It shoots very well in my bog pod death grip, or off of bags. I will most likely just use it for plinking or prairie dog hunting, since its fairly heavy. Mine loves the mk2 heavies. Last time I had it out I was consistently hitting a monster can at 100 yards. When the wind finally decides to be less than 30 mph, I'm going to push it out 150-200. I like having a bottle, and the capacity of it. Just wish I could tune the gun. Last thing my probe O-rings went bad after just 3 mags and needed to be replaced. I emailed Umarex about it but they never messaged me back, If I had a chance to do it over, I would have purchased my avenger first and never bought this.
