    Things I liked:

This gun sits so comfortably in my hand I find it in my hand more than any other I own. It's not the most powerful or accurqte beast I own, but it is a fun gun to shoot.

    Things I would have changed:

The co2 charging system was a tough one to figure out. I had to call pyramyd air tech support to help figure it out.

    What others should know:

Definitely a great all purpose gun for plinking or proficiency.

    Things I liked:

has many realistic features. good weight. metal magazine.

    Things I would have changed:

this gun has a serious flaw in that the bb's will fall out of the barrel if gun is pointed downward and trigger pulled slowly. This makes it nearly useless in my opinion. You have to jerk the trigger quickly to beat the bb out of the barrel. This makes accurate shooting difficult. I would like a gun with a cockable hammer for single action shooting as well as double action for semi auto shooting. I don't really care for the blowback action. It works fine but uses more co2 and robs power. It doesn't shoot as hard as other guns I have.

    What others should know:

I bought this gun to get a single action trigger pull. I don't care for the heavy long pull of double action guns. This gun still has a long pull, but it is lighter. It's not crisp like I expected. As for velocity I got 347 on my chrony once. Walther claims 345. average was about 300. Accuracy is not as good as my colt defender or crosman c41. It shoots about six inch groups 4 in low at 20 ft. Overall I'm disappointed in this gun.

    Things I liked:

Weight and feel of the gun is very realistic. The magazine is made of metal, much higher quality than the plastic ones. Fun to shoot, decently powerful too.

    Things I would have changed:

The safety is impossible to use with one hand. It is also very hard to change between safe and fire even with two hands. A younger child would not be able to use the safety on this gun. And as I think kids should learn to turn the safety off only when preparing to fire, returning the gun to safety after each session, this would be hard to enforce.

    What others should know:

For some dumb reason, when the safety is on, you can still pull the trigger. Only instead of firing a BB, the BB will simply roll out of the muzzle and fall harmlessly on the floor.

    Things I liked:

I had a revolver co2 BB gun close to 50 yrs ago. Since then I looked at semi-autos every few years but did not like them. They were nowhere near the real thing and the trigger pull was terrible. That all changed about 3 mos ago when I happened to come across the "blow back" types. I researched all of them and chose the CP99 compact BB gun. I have not been disappointed. It is a great little semi-auto pistol with the looks, action, weight, dimensions, feel and trigger pull of the real thing. I bought the laser for it but could not use it in outside daylight, so I been using the open sights and carry it in a hip holster(on my property). I really enjoy doing a semi tactical thing of drawing the gun and firing it in about 2 secs at a target about the size of my fist at 25 feet. It is a challenge because I have to do several things just right to hit the target consistently.

    Things I would have changed:

Adjustable rear sight. I had to file the front sight down a little "bring it in".

    What others should know:

The seals can leak co2, so I do not put a cartridge in until I get ready to shoot. I also bought enough extra clips and a clip belt so I can load all of them at one time using the Umarex speed loader. This way I can stay outside and shoot up a co2 cartridge without having to stop and reload the clips. From the reviews I thought 4 extra clips would be enough. But since I do almost all my shooting at 25 feet or so and put 15 - 16 BBs per clip, I had to buy four more. To me, using up a cartridge at a shooting session and removing it not only saves the seals but makes things fairly safe.

    Things I liked:

The feel, realistic weight, look, and blowback.

    Things I would have changed:

The "push rod/firing pin" that pushes the BB out of the magazine prior to firing. The BBs tend to roll out o the barrel when the pistol is pointed downward even at slightest angle. To avoid this, pull the trigger all the way without pausing halfway. You will beat the BBs from rolling out faster than you can pull the trigger.

    What others should know:

I returned the first CP99 compact hoping to get a replacement that works without the BBs rolling out of the barrel. Got the replacement but the problem is still the same. Nevertheless, I opted to keep the gun because I really like the feeling that you have a realistic gun...just avoided pointing the gun downward when pulling the trigger halfway.

    Things I liked:

I like the feel, the weight, blowback action. It's so real. And it's not so expensive.

    Things I would have changed:

I would gladly buy one more of this BB gun if not only for one single thing that I don't like with it. BBs tend to roll down the barrel when you squeeze the trigger halfway...this always happens when you are pointing the gun downward even at slightest angle. You may squeeze the trigger all the way but this will affect your aiming which will result and you will not hit the target. Maybe the manufacturer should shorten the "firing pin" because I think it is pushing the BBs out of the magazine too soon when you squeeze the trigger halfway that it escapes the magnet's power at the tip of the magazine thereby sliding all the way out of the barrel till it drops to the ground. Sometimes it is too late for you to notice it that you are firing your gun without a bullet/BB. Or maybe they should make the barrel's bore a little smaller just to hold the BB inside without sliding out? I already own a Umarex SA-177, Beretta PX4, and a Walther PPK/S and they all don't have this kind of defect. They are all perfect.

    What others should know:

I've returned the first one for a replacement but when I got the replacement gun, the defect is still there. Maybe next time that I will buy an air pistol, I will try the Walther CP Sport. It's a pellet gun with a rifled barrel and it's not too pricey also. I am keeping the Walther CP99 Compact though.

    Things I liked:

I have to honestly say that this is the most realistic bb gun i have ever owned. the weight of the gun is beast. and the accuracy is crazy. It even has a de-cocking lever.

    Things I would have changed:

even though this gun is really accurate, more fps would be great. still the best gun out there.

    What others should know:

The safety on this pistol works as a de-cocking lever as well.

    Things I liked:

The style, feel, and looks are great. The accuracy at 10 yards was dead on. A great practice weapon.

    Things I would have changed:

The knob to place the gas cannister into the puncturing pin is hard to manuever. It takes multiple attempts to get it just right. The BB loader is difficult. One hole for each BB that is placed into the clip. It should have a wider hole at the entrance to accept multiple BB's at once.

    What others should know:

There is no holster that is made for it, as you have to watch how you put it in to a standard holster. The slide gets racked backwards when putting it into standard holsters.

    Things I liked:

First off ...this is a suprising little gun. (I own a real p99) This gun has the weight and heft of the real thing and it is almost an exact copy. The gun is under powered although it starts out strong. After loading..the first few shots have plenty of power..and the sounfd is loud..howerver after the first several shots you will find that both decrease. at close range the gun is fairly accurate. I am able to hold some tight groups..although some shots do go wild. The magazine is metal and holds the BBs well. The blow back action is realistic. As the power decreases so does the accuracy. The gun is well constructed from both metal and polymer..although some of the silver inner workings show through where the slide meets the body. The sights are all black making aiming at a black target in low light difficult. A dab of white out on the front sight solves this. Another good feature is the red dot that appears in the rear of the slide letting you knoe the gun is loaded. Pyramyd has the best prices by far..so I buy all my supplies from them. I do not get my guns from them as I live in an area they cant ship to. As I only buy air guns that are copies of firearms I own I need to go out of my area to my gun shop for airguns. No matter what they try to charge, I always show them Pyramyd's prices..and they match it. I would orefer to buy from Pyramyd and have them shipped direct..but such is life!! All in all ..I reccommend this gun highly!!!

    Things I would have changed:

Increase power to 400 fps, Improve sights for low light conditions Change ammo from BBs to pellets

i loved the blow back, i have shot at least 500 rounds from this gun and i haven't noticed any loss of power.

    Things I would have changed:

maby full auto, accuracy isn't as good as i thought it would be.

    What others should know:

i suggest putting pellgun oil every 2 to 3 co2 cartridges.

    Things I liked:

great weight and realistic feel. Aside from not having a full-size magazine this gun has the most realistic feel. Great for plinking. Also great for making movies if you know how to edit well.

    Things I would have changed:

The power could have been increased to 400+ FPS.

    What others should know:

The faster and more frequent you fire, the less accurate the gun will become on that cartridge. It also will cool the CO2.

    Things I liked:

5 stars for the quality. Made in Japan. Compared to my Crossman Pro77, this gun is of superior quality. It is fun to shoot, though the tradgectory of the bb is not exactly straight, but we all know that's what you get from a low cost CO2 bb pistol. I think if you take care of this one, it will last and provide alot of bb plinking fun. IMO, it is one of the best in its class.

    Things I would have changed:

With a new CO2, it is a little loud for urban backyard shooting.

    What others should know:

Be prepared to do alot of shooting once you load a powerlet. If you can only get off a few shots in the yard, then you are going to waste a cartridge. And I don't know how to get one out without freezing your hand. Also, remember to use Pellgun oil.

    Things I liked:

I love the realism of this gun, both in terms of looks and feel while firing because of the blow-back feature! The sound is also loud especially the first few shot on a new co2 also good power. The grip is wonderful and it feels very hefty and real in my hand. My friend has a gun that fires 460fts and we hit targets the same and inflect almost same damage. I love it!!

    Things I would have changed:

I would make it still more powerful.. more power is always good. It doesn't seem to be very accurate but once fired a few mags you should keep hitting target.

    What others should know:

Not the gun you want to do target practice with.. If you want something that feels and looks realistic this is the right air gun for you. BUY IT!!

    Things I liked:

I haven’t had a “BB” gun in almost 50 years and wanted something to practic with in the basement. This airgun was very nicely made, authentic, and felt comfortable in my hand. The blowback and optional laser were kicks. I loved this gun... except for all the misfires.

    Things I would have changed:

My particular gun, which may or may not have been defective, had an extermely long, two-stage triggerpull; no “suprise break” there. If I hesitated at all during the first stage of the pull, the chambered BB would just roll out of the barrel. This would happen three or four times every clip. After three or four clips (maybe 50 + rounds), the Co2 cartridge did not have sufficient pressure to operate the blowback, so every round needed to be cocked by hand. The cartridges I was disgarding had pleanty of pressure left in them. I contacted the manufacturer and then Pyramyd Air (PA). PA was GREAT!!! I exchanged the airgun without any problem whatsoever for a Heckler & Koch USP, which I haven’t had a single misfire since I received it. The Walther was only as accurate as I am.

    What others should know:

PA customer service is, in my opinion, excellent.

    Things I liked:

Very realistic (but not completely so). Nice heft and feel. Likely to fool someone who knows what a real handgun looks like, but not what a real Walther P99 looks like. Well made, including the BB magazine.

    Things I would have changed:

Very underpowered, and not especially accurate. This is not the airgun to buy to hurt things, nor to develop your marksmanship skills. Dots on the front and rear (unadjustable) sites would improve visibility. Difficult safety.

    What others should know:

Fun to shoot, so you won't care much about the point or force of impact. Order extra magazines, you'll use them!

    Things I liked:

Quality! Realism! Magazine capacity! Open ejection port! (see 'anything else airgunners should know) Slide lock! Metal! This gun has a metal slide, metal trigger, metal magazine, metal safety, metal magazine release, metal internals and frame, which add to weight and realism. The slide lock holds the slide back after the last shot... awesome. The polymer is nice, very firm, not at all like the cheap plastic on other guns. The pistol grip fits well in my hand, a little bit beefy, but nice nonetheless. I like the feel of a metal grip like the ppk\s, but this polymer one is still nice. The trigger guard is large for gloved fingers. Internal hammer is cool, and the safety works as a decocking device for it. Blow back is awesome (first 2 shots are crazy powerful).

    Things I would have changed:

Loading the Co2 was VERY hard at first. In fact, after tightening the brass screw (with a Co2 cylinder in the chamber) the power screw locked in place! I couldn't open it with my hand, so I had to put it in a vice to open it. Just remember when you load a co2 to turn the brass screw until you feel resistance, and then STOP and then turn the power screw. Every now and again a bb rolls out of the barrel, easily fixed by pulling the trigger faster. Also, the safety is a little difficult to work, but it is nice because it works as a hammer decocker. The accuracy is good for a blow back, but not for real target shooting. Other than those few things, this gun is a winner!

    What others should know:

There has been a lot of controversy over whether or not the ejection port of the CP99 compact opens, and I just wanted to say that mine does indeed open when the slide is back, showing the internal bolt system. When the slide is forward, a black polymer sheath closes the ejection port... very cool. Also, the accuracy of this gun is not great (at 15 ft and taking careful aim, I can almost hold a 1 inch group) but it is better the ppk\s. Finally, if you want an exact replica pistol, this it! All the CP99 compact doesn't do that the real one does is expel a 9mm shell! Seriously! Its defiantly a walther, and I'm pleased with it, despite the co2 problem.

This is a fun real life feel of the real thing. The weight, the balance, the slide cocking mechanism, the grip, all feels and performs extreamly realistic. I am very pleased with the CP99. This is my first air pistol ever and every time I take it to my basement target range I am happy that I made this purchase

    Things I would have changed:

At this time I woudn't change a thing
