I just bought my first ever crossgun. I've been a dyed in the wool traditionalist for eons. 45 years. Made my own recurves, strings, wild turkey fetching. Hunted and killed wild game all over this country and others successfully. With that said old age had finally taken it's toll. I bought this cross gun to keep me in the woods hunting now that I'm in my sunset years. Arthritis, trigger finger etc makes it really difficult to do what I love to do with my homemade equipment. So I bought a Wicked Ridge Raider with Decock using the rope sled. My first impressions were. 1 It's way harder to use the rope sled than I thought to cock. But I was totally impressed with the quality of the bow. It was suppose to be sighted in at 20 yards. It actually was but high 2" and 1" to the left. First two shots touched the same hole. Totally acceptable to me. I will fine tune next session. 2 I had heard of reviews that after a couple shots the center serving was cut. So upon inspecting I could visibly see there was a cutting edge left over from the molding of the the rope sled that contacted the string that would obviously cut the serving. I took a extremely fine small file and took care of that. I was really surprised and disappointed that it left the factory with quality control. Bottom line I'm extremely pleased and this bow with the decock bow is EXTREMELY accurate and I'm totally satisfied with my purchase.

Previously crossbow, Wicked Ridge Rampage 360. I really enjoyed the Rampage 360, shoots well, very accurate. The AccuDraw was nice but “click, click, click” did not like. The Raider 400 Decock is so far a huge step up. The Decock works smooth, quiet, really like it. The crossbow shoots fast, 10 shoots to sight in at 30 yards. The only downside so far is, it is on the loud side. The first shoot startled me with the noise difference between the Rampage and Raider. With said, I still give the Raider 400 Decock 5 stars to date. Anything changes I’ll come back and update.

The cock/decock is a great feature, but once it’s cocked (or decocked) and the cocking device is housed, it doesn’t stay secure in its location. It doesn’t seat tight and rattles like a child’s toy. Not good when hunting whitetail deer. I’ve taken my bow back to where I purchased it and they couldn’t get it to seat properly. I’ve tried everything. I’ve finally solved the issue and have been using Velcro strips to keep it in place tightly. Disappointing. Time to revisit the design of this feature, in my humble opinion.

Overall a decent crossbow. The only problem I've been having is the draw claw popping out of its storage after I shoot it. Really disappointing when you pay all that money and expect a good quality product.

It’s great! Love the ease of cocking and decocking. It’s light and small enough , width, to easily carry without entanglement. It comfortable to hold and shoot. It has plenty of power to ensure a quick recovery of your target species. I shot a doe for my first kill with new bow. It was 20 yds and she moved as I pulled the trigger. In spite of a shot placed towards the pelvis it was a thru and thru shot which penetrated pelvic bones on each side, got both Demerol arteries and deer died 30yds from impact. Second kill was coyote at 20 yds, thru and thru, died 25 yrs from impact. I used Match 400 lighted carbon arrow with fixed 100 gr broadhead by EVO-X Montec . Overall great bow at good price.

This bow has been great overall. Ive ran into two small problems with it however. The crank on my bow jams up at times. I'm not sure if it's me or if it's the crank but I have had issues when I pull out the draw string and the crank doesn't want to release or will stop half way through ( like when a seat belt gets hung up and you need it to relax or give slack). The other issue is the storage for the crank handle. I lost my handle in the first month. While walking to my stand, it fell out of the groove that it's supposed to sit it. It didn't sit snug in it. The bow itsself is great, but those two things are frustrating.

I wanted to transition from a compound bow to a crossbow for many reasons. Not only did the staff at Hunter’s Outlet have an extreme amount of patience with me but the crossbow exceeded my expectations. It is really easy to use for those who don’t wanna try to cock a 180# crossbow quietly and shoot an arrow into a target or ground at the end of the day!

This is my first crossbow and it's been great. More than enough for big game. I hunted deer and elk with it and bagged both. I would highly recommend it. The only cheap part is the quiver holder that attaches to the crossbow. It broke the first time I used the crossbow.

It is an all around great bow. Very easy to use and as fast as the Raven.

Extremely pleased with this crossbow. It was very close to being dead-on right out of the box. Within 3 shots it was dead-on at 20 yards. Shots at 30 and 40 yards required only a minor adjustment. Looking forward to shooting my first deer using it. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced crossbow with cocking and de-cocking features.

My first xbow but I looked carefully at a wide range of makes and models, talked to people who owned them. This was the obvious choice for me. Compact, good looking and has the de-cock device I wanted. Smooth release, quiet and very accurate. So far I've only shot target bolts but I'm happy with it and can't wait for deer season.

Good affordable crossbow, easy to use and fun to shoot!

Love this bow. Bought it early spring so have only played with it and target shot it.

Awesome crossbow. Very fast and accurate amazing to shoot. Decock makes it easier to pull back. But time consuming. Overall great crossbow.

Great bow. Well built.. fast ...accurate. cant wait to use it this fall

Since hunting season is not open I've only shot at a target, but the accuracy is amazing. I remove the arrow after each shot because I am afraid I will hit and damage the first arrow if I aim at the same bullseye. I don't want to ruin an expensive arrow like Robin Hood.

My second Wicked Ridge crossbow but the first with the Accu draw/de-cock. I'm having some accuracy issues. It has around 200 shots through it. From the first time using the Accu draw it starting separating the serving on the left side and after awhile the right side is messed up too. Now the last couple of times I've shot it when you are cocking it back the last 5-6 inches is much harder to crank. It's also taking some of the finish off the left side where it starts getting harder to crank.

Lightweight, scope is dead on. Small and compact.Above and beyond safety features.

acurate shooting crossbow, you can break nocks @ 50 yrds. my real beef with the raider is 400 fps advertised with 370 gr. bolt and mine aint quite 380, it shoots 366-368 with 400 gr. bolt that came with it. received data from my chrony and proshops. if it was a little closer to advertised id give it a 5 star cause it is a fine, tite shooter!
