    Things I liked:

    The size (in theory)

    Things I would have changed:

Make it accurate beyond 15 yards

    What others should know:

This pellet is to big for its own good. The thing with hunting and air rifles is you normally have just 1 shot to hit your target when hunting. At 30-50 yards your groups are going to be as bad as 1-4 inches, so there is going to be a good chance you miss. Stick with the Crossman Priemier family of pellets. The price is much better and you will always hit wat you aim at.

    Things I liked:

Exceptional quality control on these pellets. These are my go to pellets for my Air Force Talon. I get same hole groups at 35yds and less than .35" at 45-55yds. They are devastating on small game. These have all the qualities that an accuracy nut would feel warm and fuzzy about.

    Things I would have changed:

A screw on lid or perhaps a good quality snap-lock container.

    What others should know:

These are more than likely a bit too heavy for a springer, but my friend shoots them in his fairly regularly. Great in PCP weapons. Like everyone else says, " buy a bunch".

    Things I liked:

I use my RWS Diana Model 48 for hunting squirrels here in Arizona. When It hits, it has great "thwacking" power. The pellet "locks-in" with a tight fit, much like the Benjamin pellets of old (30 years ago). The heavy weight helps to keep the pellet under the speed of sound.

    Things I would have changed:

    I don't know.

    What others should know:

Unfortunately I am not hitting consistently. I am a good marksman, so missing is frustrating. I have been blaming it on my scope, but since my most recent scope purchase, I now believe the pellets were and are part of my problem.

    Things I liked:

Packs a little extra knockdown power than most. Seems to work well in several different airguns I own, both pnuematic and springer. Accuracy is very good out to at least 25-35 yds in my springers and I got out to 75 yds. on my pneumatic!!

    What others should know:

Definitely a pellet to have on hand for any job that requires a little better knockdown punch. I hav had little problem using these out to 75 yds. with single shot kills.

I got crowmags and silver stings too, but this was the only one to go through a 3/8" plywood board. the others got stuck.

    Things I would have changed:

screw on lid. I dumped it

this is one of the best pellets you can buy! Super long range accuracy like 60 yards and beyond. Absolutely deadly to pigeons, squrrels, rabbits, cats... you name it! Excellent ballistics and penetration This pellet hits like a ton of bricks!

    Things I would have changed:

Would be nice to get kodiak match in .22 cal

    What others should know:

you should know that kodiaks work best in higher power air guns that can push the kodiak pellet 800fps or better

they fit my rws diana 350 magnum perfectly, and are very accurate. They shoot like a .22 short rimfire

    Things I would have changed:

I spilled them,so they need to add a screw on top

    What others should know:

they fire alot slower than standard .22 pellets, but have alot of power.I set one next to a standard 7.9 grain .177 pellet, and it looked like a monster.

    Things I liked:

A very heavy pellet with an excellent B.C. Very sturdy design, very accurate in the A.F. rifles.

    Things I would have changed:

Better packaging! Either a screw on lid, or a snap top plastic container. Lower the per pellet cost by .01-.02 Make the "Match Grade" available in .22 cal.

    What others should know:

These are some of the heaviest pellets out there in any given caliber. Make sure your gun is capable of pushing them properly and you'll be a happy camper. P.S. buy 15 tins at a time and you'll get 5 tins free, more importantly they will come in 4 boxes, in one box. Better yet, buy 30 tins and get 10 tins free. They will come in eight boxes within the box and you won't pay S&H.

    Things I liked:

A very high quality and heavy pellet. One of the few pellets really suitable for the devastating power of some of the PCP rifles. I think they look wicked too. I use them in my Evanix and Sumatra with excellent results.

    Things I would have changed:

As with all Beeman pellets, a little too pricey. I wish they were even heavier or at least that there was a heavier version of the same pellet.

    What others should know:

Keep some of these and some Crow Magnums on hand. Two super pellets for the higher power rifles.

    Things I liked:

It's an excellent pest management (within the realm of 15 yards, or 45 feet), and awesome infliction of blunt damages to target areas, IF IT HITS THE TARGET!! The extra weight on the pellet increases the addition force of impact. If you're taking a target weights about 50 grams, hit it with a Crow Magnum, when the target gets hit, the target will swing about 180 degrees from the hanging axis. If you're hitting with the Kodiak, the target will swing 360 degrees. The kinetic energy is incredible.

    Things I would have changed:

Drop the price per pellet by $0.01 or $0.02, and replace the tin with cheap-hard plastic container with screw top (which is 1/4 the price of the tin itself but with stronger structure to support the pellet during shipping).

    What others should know:

The increase of weight of the pellet not only decrease the overall velocity, as well as increasing the straying of the grouping. Let's compare:

The Beeman Crow-Magnum, within a 20 yards (60 feet) on a calm day (with very light 5 mile per hour wind), can create a 0.05" or hole-in-hole grouping, using the Benjamin Sheridan Super Streak 0.22. Now, load the Kokiak up, you can achieve a 0.5" grouping at 15 yards, 0.25" grouping at 10 yards, and only a hole-in-hole at 5 yards to 7 yards. Anything beyond 15 yards, the stray grouping varies from 1 to 4 inches. It could be due to several factors. The additional weight is not a constant weight at 21 grams. It varies from 19.5 to 22.6 grams. Why? I have no clue. The head of the pellet is not perfectly unison. Out of the 4 tins that I purchased, at least 1/3 of the tins' pellets actually have the conical heads that's shifted about 0.25mm of its central axis. Use a mm laser measuring meter, and a centrifuge machine, you can truly see such discrepancy. The surface of the pellets are very rough. Unlike the Crosman domed pellets, JSB Predator, or even the Benjamin series, the Kodiak is quite pitted or roughed. The poorest part is the skirt. Out of of the 4 tins, if you pooled together, only 1 good tin actually have pellets with skirts that fit perfectly in the bore. That means only 1 out of 4 actually kit well. The Crow-Magnum and Crosman domed are much better. 3 out of 4 actually fit perfectly in the bore during insertion.

Rather than the 1100fps claimed velocity for the Super Streak .22, the Kodiak averages around 530fps during moderate humid days, to 640fps during perfect conditions (with very light wind), chrono-ed 4 feet from the barrel exit. if you chrono 4 feet from the target that's 15 yards away, the velocity decreases to 275 fps for humid days, and 470 fps for perfect days.

I give a 3 overall because of the amount of damage it can cause, but the stray is ridiculous. One of my chronos got damaged heavily after a 23 yard firing test. The stray was close to 5 inches off from the 8"x8" chrono window.

The damage entry wound is exactly the same as the Crow-Magnum (a quarter size). For some reason, regardless of the distant from the live targets, even at 5 yards, there's no exiting wound. Blunt damage actually knock the feral pigeon half a foot horizontally off the power wire 10 yards away before it falls vertically.

If you're using for vermins control, best to purchase the Crow-Magnum within a 30 yards effective range. If you're planning to plan to increase your range to 40 or 45 yards, stick with the Crosman domed for cheap and accurate targeting. JSB is way too expensive, and the hyper velocity type doesn't gain any more velocity or accuracy than the domed one. Stick with moderate weight (between 12 to 14 grams) for that 35 to 45 yards range. For those who claim to go beyond 50 yards with less than 5" grouping, they're lying through their teeth. Some claim to go up to 100 yards or more? Sure...I would like some video feeds on those please. This gun is placed on a tripod, with close to perfect control and minimal of jolting as anyone can rig up.

    Things I liked:

By far, one of the strongest knockdown power .22 pellets I have tried. Needs a magnum power rifle to perform. Very few imperfect pellets in tins I have bought.

    Things I would have changed:

More pellets per tin, 500 vs. 200, would be nice.

    What others should know:

Definitely a pellet to consider when good knockdown and penetration is required. Works well in several of my magnum breakbarrels. Not recommended for lower fps air rifles. I have had no problem with accuracy out to at least 30 yds.

Nice quality pellets, heavy for the Magnum guns as well as the PCP's that have high velocity ratings.

    Things I would have changed:

A second version that was even heavier would be great, like a Kodiac Heavy, Heavier and Heaviest for the strongest guns

    Things I liked:

I submitted a review on the Kodiak back on March 6th 2008, however, since that time I've had the opportunity to gain more insight into the performance of this pellet. On impact the .22 Kodiak retained its basic shape with only some distortion to the head (nose pushed in and flattened a little). Out of the 10 types of pellets that I tested, the Kodiak was the 5th most accurate pellet for my rifle averaging groups of .6848" c-t-c (best group was .5725" c-t-c) at 25 yards. In my pellet comparisons, the Kodiak tied the Crossman Max Speed #7562 flat nose for the 3rd best overall size consistency (measured the head, skirt & Length of several pellets from each type of pellet tested). The average price for the pellets that I tested was $0.035 each, so at $0.039 each, the Kodiak provides moderate accuracy, consistency and stopping power. However, considering that the Kodiak is 30% to 40% larger than half the other pellets that I tested, the price is actually good.

    Things I would have changed:

The Kodiak created the smallest entry hole measuring only .0602" in diameter (about 28% of the pellets original size with a small sized jagged star edge). Because this pellet is think and heavy, it retained its shape pretty well with little expansion, only about 14% (creating more of an exit tear, as opposed to a clear defined exit hole). Out of the 10 types of pellets that I tested, the Kodiak had the 5th best penetration depth (which means that its weight and bulky mass are transferring more energy to the target). However, the size of this big pellet comes at a cost in velocity (this thing flies slow and drops like a rock) which allows the recoil of the gun to have more of an influence on the pellet as it leaves the barrel (which may accounts for some of the inaccuracy). I believe that a more powerful gun would increase its accuracy. This pellet is prone to over penetration on smaller targets (i.e. Squirrels, etc.).

    What others should know:

The .22 Kodiak pointed nose pellet is the longest (.341' actual length) and the heaviest (21.1 grains) of all the pellets that I tested. In a more powerful gun, its weight should really help it to stay on target at long range. The other 9 pellets that I tested included the FTS, Silver Sting, Copper Head (pointed), Supper Dome, Silver Bear, Crow Magnum, Max Speed Flat-Nosed 7562, Silver Ace, and the Ram Jet. My rifle is a .22 Beeman GS1000 that is rated at 765 FPS by the Mfg.

being just a beginner - best accuracy I've had yet (but I've only ever shot low end Crossmans before these - which were all over the place) While sighting in my RWS Diana 54 I got groupings of 1/2 inch easily - I was ecstatic. Now I kill squirrels one shot. I am very impressed.

Great accuracy, great penetration, great value. I will only shoot these pellets. They must just work well with my gun. A .22 Beeman Sportsman Series. Watch a video https://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=7053281>here Shot a Gatorade bottle off a wood post at about 75+. That's about the size of a crow. My friend says, "Three dots, three dots." That's how many mil-dots he used to aim above the target with the Leapers R/G 3-9x40 full size AO scope. Bipod used was the Dragon Claw. Very good, effective combo with these pellets.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing at all

    What others should know:

If you have a rifle that shoots over 1000fps, these heavy pellets will slow down the muzzle velocity enough to keep your pellets from tumbling through the air, hence increasing your accuracy. Faster is not necessarily better. Keep it under 800fps. This pellet does just that. You will notice a HUGE increase in accuracy.
