The original full-power S400 is a fabulous gun. How do you improve on that? You make it a sidelever that's so easy to cock, you can do it with one finger! That's the word from our tech support.
The gun still has all the classic lines and state-of-the-art technology built in, such as magnificently carved wood, superb checkering, well-balanced Monte Carlo stock (beech weighs approx. 7.70 lbs., walnut weighs approx. 7.85 lbs.), accurate Lothar Walther barrel and a built-in manometer (air pressure gauge).
With the adjustable power, you can regulate the energy and shoot a wider range of game and pests at a greater variety of distances!
After you've shot this gun, you'll wonder what took you so long to get it!
Manufactured in England at the Air Arms' state-of-the-art plant.
There are no sights on the S400; remember to buy a scope & mounts!

Overall build quality is excellent...went with beech stock because I don't care for rosewood tips, and was not disappointed...Trigger breaks clean @ approx 2.5 # after considerable take up...My 22 cal shootss 1/4", one hole groups at 10 yds w/ JSB 14.3gr 'jumbo express'...First 15 shots over chrono yielded 974 to 962 spread at full power..Power adjust is tight to the touch (as it should be) and is more useful than I emagined...Gun is quiet, did'nt notice it until I fired a single felt lube and got the 'CRACK' from breaking the sound barrier...I also prefer the 'heavy' barrel, which is, I believe .6" in dia (under the shroud)...This could be misleading, becase the gun feels very light...
Things I Would Have ChangedCost
What Others Should KnowWhile actual barrel length is 20"...The length of the barrel & shroud is 24"...The air tube is also long...With the exception of the stock, & magazine, the picture of the AA S410 is a more acurate representation of this gun.
