Description
The Athlon Optics Ares ETR UHD 3-18x50 Rifle Scope with APRS6 FFP MIL reticle is optimized to provide superior accuracy for disciplines such as hunting and PRS shooting. It utilizes a 34mm aircraft-grade aluminum one piece tube that is heat treated to improve its longevity, and it has a 50mm objective lens and a high-precision erector system.
This scope uses advanced fully-multicoated lenses with UHD glass to deliver sharp and clear views even in poor weather and low light, and it has XPL protective coating for enhanced protection from dirt and oil. It is waterproof, shockproof, and argon purged so that it offers improved fogproofing compared to scopes with other purging methods.
The Athlon Optics Ares ETR UHD 3-18x50 has a locking windage turret to help avoid accidental movement after it has been set, and a precision zero stop on the elevation turret. The windage turret adjusts in a range of 25 MIL total, and the elevation turret adjusts in a range of 32 MIL total, and both have 10 MIL per revolution and a value of 0.1 MIL per click.
The APRS6 FFP (first focal plane) MIL reticle features full crosshairs in all directions in the aiming portion, etched glass, a fine central dot, and a Christmas tree portion at the bottom with holdover dots and markings, which nearly fills the reticle on maximum zoom. The illuminated reticle can be activated with variable brightness settings on the portion with hashes and markings.
To get a scope that increases accuracy for long-range hunting and precision shooting, buy the Athlon Ares ETR UHD 3-18x50 with APRS6 FFP MIL reticle from Pyramyd AIR now.

10 of 20 Athlon Optics 3-18x50 Ares ETR Reviews

I put this scope on my 7PRC build. Clarity is good and adjustments are simple and easy. Feature rich and excellent price point. Will buy more Athlon.

Excellent optic on my 300 PRC. When tuning and shooting for groups, this scope held up perfectly and was never the weak point in my shooting experience. Highly recommend to serious shooters looking for an alternative to Leupold and Vortex. (I’ve had them all)

Tracking is excellent. Great glass. I took a 354 yard shot on a muley out west an this was dead on.

Only used this a couple of times but so far everything has been great. Glass is very good and the christmas tree reticle works well and not too busy. Zeroing the scope and setting the zero lock is easy and both turrets feel great. Both zoom and parallax rings are smooth. Would highly recommend this a a midtier option for a medium to long range rifle.

Bought it to go on a 22-250 for a prairie dog hunt. Once sighted in it tracked well, the FFP allowed for holdovers with the Nebraska wind. Landed shots at ~400yds w/ factory ammo. I’d say it’s durable as it rode 10 hours in the bed of the truck in just a soft case and has gone through several small hikes. Only complaint is clarity at full magnification. It’s slightly grey and hazy around the edges but very minimal. Decent weight! Will definitely get more Athlon, looking into the Cronus next.

I love everything about this scope except for the physical size. I purchased it to use on an AR15 and it is just too large. I'll swap it to a bolt gun where it will be more suitable. Aside from my lack of attention to detail on the size it is a phenomenal value offering crisp glass and nice controls.

For the money, it is very hard to beat. Glass is very good. The elevation turret is very tactile and has zero stop. The windage turret locks. Eye relief is generous. The reticle is very sharp and center dot is a nice touch. Optic tracks like it should, but the illumination is just 'ok'. I now have several.

This optic punches well above its weight class for the price. Its currently sitting on a 18” 6 ARC gas gun that I use for 600 yard matches. The clarity is outstanding for Chinese produced glass. Minimal chromatic aberattion, bright illumination, great eye box, positive clicks and perfect tracking. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a 3-18 optic. You won't be disappointed if you purchase this scope.

This scope has outstanding tracking, great glass, and a set of features that cannot be matches at this price point

Love this scope. It is an absolute tank. The turrets are so crisp and precise. The glass is great. My only two complaints are it doesn’t have a locking elevation turret and it is on the heavy side. So if you’re trying to build a light setup this probably isn’t the one. Works great for my heavier recoiling setups though.
