Description

Now in its second iteration, the Benjamin Fortitude is helping to create a new generation of PCP shooters with an air rifle that marries some of the best features of the Benjamin line.

As a regulated PCP, you can expect long consistent shot strings, fueled by the Fortitude’s 3,000 PSI cylinder. Taking advantage of the newest innovations from Benjamin, the Fortitude delivers up to 60 shots per fill at max power on its regulated powerplant. Pushing lead ammo at velocities up to 950 fps in .177 and 800 fps in .22. All you need to do is fill your cylinder with air via the male quick disconnect fitting, load up the 10-round rotary mag, and hit the range blasting targets with stunning accuracy. Benjamin knows that you don't just want accuracy, you want stealth as well, and the fully-shrouded barrel keeps your shots backyard friendly.

For those that enjoy adjustability and customizing their guns, the Fortitude Gen2 features an adjustable hammer spring tension located at the rear of the action.  While it comes factory set around the midpoint of its adjustment range, those desiring more power can turn the adjustment screw clockwise to increase velocity (and reduced shot count), while those interested in getting more shots per fill can adjust counter-clockwise for up to 200 shots per fill (and reduced velocities).

The Fortitude is set into an all-weather synthetic stock that keeps the rifle at a light 5.3lbs (unscoped). An 11mm Dovetail allows you to mount your choice of optic and still maintain its light weight. For those looking to take the Fortitude into the woods, the stock is fitted with swivel studs to mount a sling.

If you’re ready for an air rifle that balances regulated repeating shots and high-end features at an affordable price point, the Benjamin Fortitude is the rifle for you!

Not a single thing. This gun began hissing as soon as air pressure exceeded 500psi and then it bled down to zero. Pyramyd Air was great to work with for the return. It's no wonder they have to give away a $200 air pump to buy Benjamin guns....they are complete pieces of junk! I should have read more reviews before buying this. EVERYONE who has a Fortitude has had trouble with it leaking, that really says something. Avoid the Fortitude!!!!!

How hard is it to do some actual quality control. There is no possible way this gun went through a 72 hour leak test. Benjamin is just slipping in a piece of paper stating so. I leaked as soon as pressure exceeded 500psi and leaked all the way back down to 0 psi.

Avoid this at all costs. It's a waste of time you won't be able to get back and it will tie up your hard earned money. Total and complete piece of junk, I am done with Crapman/Benajmin products.

Actually, I think the regulator started failing at about 2 years, but I always put that off to me. That first shot tells you a lot!

Kerry Nov 02, 2023

I have had a Gen2 .177 Fortitude for over 3 years and it was great until the regulator start "creeping". Shoots FX/JSB 10.3 pellets with at least MOA accuracy out to 50 yards and I nailed 3 tree rats at ~75 yards even when the muzzle velocity was at ~750-765fps. I still need to call Crosman/Benjamin back and get an RMA as the 5 year warranty is still good and I have already confirmed that the regulator IS covered by the warranty. Sorry you have had such a bad experience. Other than the regulator failing after about 2-3 years (average failure rate for most regulators), I have been more than happy with my .177 Gen2 Fortitude. All my best!

A Good Asset to my Marauders

Some Trigger work, and work on the Barrel Band

Good Price Point not just for the Entry Level, but also for those wanting to fill that niche of an accurate shooter

QUIET. Accurate, consistent, high shot count per fill.

Secure barrel shroud to air cylinder a bit better. Trigger perhaps, but not a deal breaker at this price.

Get a few hundred rounds through it dealing with the minor magazine and bolt issues. After use and break in, most resolve themselves. Sample different pellets, all guns have a different preference.

Great price on an excellent air rifle!! Was a bit skeptical reading some of the reviews, but I couldn't be more pleased. Accuracy is phenomenal, operation is flawless, holds full pressure air very well. Performs as well as my other PCP's which cost 3 times the price. Light weight is a bonus when carrying it afield. Very pleased!!

Nothing

My trigger gauge registered just above 6lbs for a 5 shot average when I started shooting this rifle. After approximately 5 h hundred rounds the 5 shot average is down to 3.4lbs, and I expect further reduction as more pellets go down range.

nothing, poor build quality, have not shot a single pellet

would discontinue the model, or take the Benajamin brand name out of it

Come in with a out of specs charging nipple, after charging was leaking badly, going back and will get a Marauder instead
As always, when you go cheap...you get cheap

Light wieght..very accurate..hitting nickel size groups of 5 at 35yds..which is great for my backyard plinking..mounted a 2.5x10x40 laser/scope combo..cant put it down..VERY QUIET..hitting target louder than muzzle release.

little movement between barrel and air resevoir..fill that gap with a small bushing..i used a small tie-wrap (small piece of plastic) ..worked perfectly.

my initial purchase had an air leak. would not fill past 1500psi..returned for a refund and purchased another same model...utilized pyramyd air $10 service on second one..ALL is GREAT...great value for the price......DO yourself a favor..save the headache.USE THE &10/$20 SERVICE PACK..You'll be soooo glad you did!!!!!!

This gun is accurate, quiet, and easy to use. While there are notes of a heavy trigger pull and bolt pull-back, I found that they aren't anything to be concerned with. Maybe they are a little harder than the competition? This is the only pellet rifle I currently own, so this is no comparison others on the market. My reason for purchase was pest control (rats), so I would be shooting at night. I found this to be one of the absolute very few that had a 10-round PCP configuration that was also both quiet and with great accuracy. I do not find any fault with the gun and it is a pleasure to use. All the online reviews make it sound like the trigger pull is horrible, but I found it to be perfectly acceptable and it barely felt like I had to pull--kinda makes me wonder why a 1 lb trigger pull would be like--too easy? The bolt pull-back is slightly tough, but not enough to be a detriment to the gun operation--I wouldn't complain about it.

I'd rather have a threaded air charge cap vs the push-on.

Coupled with the 4x32 winchester fixed scope, I have nailed a rat every single shot (even dropped the gun on accident and everything held true).
I use the JSB 18.13gr domed pellets.

Light weight 22. Picked it up for teaching grand kids and modest pest control Easy to place an additional add on suppressor that makes it virtually silent.

Dust cover for the fill port - make it screw on. The one I have falls off everywhere but the gun rack. Minor engineering change - hammer spring adjustment - have a stop placed at both the high and low ends. Minor engineering change - hammer spring adjustment - use fine threads versus coarse threads Iron sites would be nice

Will be putting it through the chrono soon. Hopefully, it will come somewhere near the factory mark. If not then I'll be contacting Pyramyd Air about it.
15.89 grain pellets, hammer spring adjustment nearly maxed & pellets seem to go too slow. Will find out soon.
18.1 gr pellet falls short of 40 yard target
25.36 gr only hit 430'/sec which isn't a good choice for this gun

The gun was a pleasure to shoot. It developed hard cocking enough so that King Kong had to cock it. It gets to the factory and it works as a normal situation. So something moved inside. This situation happened multiple times - no fix. However they did send an Icon as a replacement for this piece. The Fortitude was a pleasure to shoot. Before the problem arrived 2" targets @ 50 yrds was not a problem. Even had one group of 10 shots @ 50 yrds that were covered with a dime. I would not hesitate getting another Fortitude as an introductory PCP to instruct the grandkids on --- if I know that a 50 lb person can cock the tool.

14.3 gr are dedicated to this gun.. Crosman staff have been friendly to talk with.

The reason I bought this rifle was accuracy and it doesn't it is very accurate.

I checked revues before buying and they were correct. The trigger is worse than an M1 Garand. Cocking is extremely difficult. It should have a side lever with or without an elbow. The comb on the stock is so low I had to get a comb raiser. I still feel my choice was a good one because if these flaws were fixed and it was not accurate I would return it.
