Description

There's an error in the owner's manual. It says you must first put the gun on safe and then pull the hammer to half-cock to load the gun. That is incorrect. Once the safety is applied, the hammer does not move. So, don't put the safety on to load the gun.

The highly revered Colt Peacemaker Single Action Army .45 revolver looks, feels and handles like the famous firearm it copies.

Like the famous revolver that changed the West, the cylinder does not swing out. Each shell is inserted singly thru the loading gate on the right side of the cylinder. Pull back the hammer to the half-cocked position. Then, rotate the cylinder and insert a loaded shell.

To remove an empty shell, open the loading gate, pull back the hammer to half-cocked and push on the ejector rod. Speedloaders don't work on this gun because the shells are inserted by hand one at a time.

To load BBs in the shells, insert one steel BB in the bottom of each.

HOW DO I CHANGE MY PISTOL GRIP OPTION? GOOD NEWS! I HAVE FIGURED OUT HOW TO ANTIQUE AND DARKEN THE WHITE PEACEMAKER PISTOL GRIPS, TO MAKE THEM LOOK MORE LIKE VINTAGE IVORY. STEP #1 REMOVE GRIPS. STEP #2 SCRUB WITH WET SOS PAD, TO REMOVE MOST OF GLOSS AND TO MAKE THEM MORE POROUS AND ABSORBENT. STEP #3 HAND RUB WITH A LIBERAL AMOUNT OF KIWI DARK TAN SHOE POLISH IN A CAN. GIVE IT A FEW MINUTES TO BE ABSORBED. WIPE CLEAN WITH RAG OR PAPER TOWEL. REPEAT STEP #3 IF NEEDED. I DID MINE SEVERAL TIMES, I THINK THEY LOOK GREAT. YOU CAN EXPERIMENT WITH DARKER COLORS, I JUST HAPPEN TO HAVE DARK TAN, I USE ON MY OLD COWBOY BOOTS. ANY IDEAS, LET ME KNOW. THE COWBOY WAY.
