Description
The Crosman Fire Nitro Piston SBD Air Rifle is a value-packed entry-level breakbarrel combo for plinking, pest control, or small game hunting. Reaching velocities of up to 1,200 FPS (with alloy pellets) or 1,000 FPS (with lead pellets), it's an improvement over the previous model because of the shrouded barrel.
This air rifle is powered by a Nitro Piston powerplant, a gas piston that results in smooth and powerful operation for a quieter shot with less recoil than a standard spring-piston airgun. In addition, it exhibits less vibration, works well across a range of temperatures, lasts longer with consistent operation since there's no spring fatigue, and can be left cocked for greater amounts of time because there's no spring to damage.
To decrease the overall noise produced by the airgun, Crosman has upgraded the barrel to include QuietFire noise reducing technology, which adds a shroud to the barrel that lessens sound levels without interfering with the sight line. In addition, the all-weather synthetic thumbhole stock features texturing on the grip and forearm to ensure a steady hold even in adverse moisture conditions, plus a rubber recoil pad for consistent comfort.
Crosman has also included a 4x32mm CenterPoint scope with mounts in the package, which attaches to the 11mm dovetail rail to aid accuracy. The two-stage trigger is also adjustable, to give shooters the clean and predictable break they need.

Shoulders nicely and is relatively quiet. Mostly you only hear the loud spring noise. Powerful and relatively easy to cock (even for this old man with a reconstructed shoulder)
Things I Would Have ChangedGive it IRON SIGHTS! Or the option to add them. Right now I am finding it impossible to zero in (or even close) with the included scope. When it first arrived I cleaned it and took a test shot without the scope on from approx. 10 yards and hit the red dead on. With the scope I literally can't find the target. It's gonna take a lot of work to get this zero'd. I may try with a different scope or just a red dot/
