Dan Wesson 715 2.5" CO2 BB Revolver, Silver

It is built well and quite comfortable in the hand.

Perhaps I just got a bad one but my regular Fan Wesson 2.5 inch is MUCH more accurate than this one. It also seems to get more shots per CO2 cylinder. As I said, I may have simply gotten a lemon but for the price I expected a little more performance.

look and feel

In my prior review, I said this was not the ASG product.

I was wrong, this is an ASG product.

But still, it appears to differ from the ASG product that earned such good reviews for it's trigger some years back.

* Looks good * Seems to have the right heft * Accuracy is acceptable - as in 3" groups @20'. Those more skilled than I can probably do better, but 3" works for me.

* DA trigger is OK 85% of the time, but hangs up the other 15%. I was hoping for the superior trigger that reviewers touted in the ASG version. But mechanically this seems to be a clone of Umarex's S&W 327 TRR8 - which isn't bad either, but which suffers from the same trigger issue. * Front sight could be a lot better. As-is, it is difficult to see. Covering it with various colors of electrical tape is helping, but I do not think I have found the best fix yet.

This is *not* the ASG product that reviewers were so enthusiastic about in past years.

It is very well made and has the weight and feel of the real thing.

I love this gun!. The finish is perfect. The grips are rubber and make this gun feel great in my hand. I also love the box it comes in (verses cheap plastic packaging seen with others). The improvements made with this newer model 715 over the older Dan Wesson's made this a no brainer of a purchase for me.

The only thing I don't like is the cylinder release button and where it's located. I wish they would have stuck with the S & W good old fashioned cylinder release located where it should be.

Buy this, you will not regret this purchase.

This Dan Wesson 715 2.5 is very similar to my S&W Model 60 357 that I use for personal defense. My primary rationale for acquiring the DW 715 2.5 was to be able to practice handling, loading and firing without the range and ammo expense. I primarily shoot pellets although on occasion I shoot BB's and Darts. The look, feel, weight and handling of the revolver is very authentic. I especially like the grips as they have a genuine Hogue Rubber grip feel and the access to the CO2 cartridge is vastly improved over the older Dan Wesson model. This revolver gives you the same pleasure of handling, loading, firing, cleaning, polishing and googling as the "real" thing for much less cost... which allows for the purchase of additional guns... Warning: Use can become addictive ;~)

It would be nice if the trigger pull could be varied.
