Description
The Evanix Rex air rifle is a single shot "king." Lightweight and maneuverable at 5.5 lbs, this gun has true hunting power and versatility with up to 20 shots (in .22 and .25 caliber).
The trigger guard also acts as a unique under-lever cocking mechanism. Simply cock the gun by using the trigger guard as the under-lever and you'll notice it also exposes the loading port.
The Rex rifle is offered in .22, .25, .357, and .45 calibers, and features a metal stock with an integrated rear-mounted pressure gauge. The insulated air cylinder detaches for easy transport and storage, and has a rubber coating for a more comfortable cheek weld.
Knockdown ability with the Rex is awesome as the .22 caliber version offers 44 foot pounds of energy (FPE), and the .25 cal delivers 50 FPE. If you choose the .357 caliber Rex, you'll enjoy a whopping 153 FPE. More than enough to take the game of your choosing.
You'll be hard pressed to find a PCP rifle as lightweight and powerful as the Evanix Rex. This might just be your new favorite!

10 of 17 Evanix Rex Air Rifle Reviews
Weight, feel and overall quality.
Things I Would Have ChangedAdd baffles to front shroud cavity which is 34mm x 146mm deep.
What Others Should Knowgreat to dhoot.
Lets start with this, I ordered a .45 cal and when the box arrived it was a .357 cal in a 45 box. Talk about bummed, But PA team got on it and I had a replacement .45 cal within 3 days GREAT JOB PA TEAM!. Now this is an very good rifle, the weight is very good could carry all day without issue, It packs a punch I started with 200 grain and took it to 280 grain and this thing will bring down some heavy game. Very accurate to 85 yards start to see groups open a bit after that. If you have been wanting one buy it, you will not be disappointed.
Things I Would Have ChangedChamfer the probe holes I was only able to insert probe a couple of times before they started to shred. Had to replace them i keep lots of spares. Evanix when you ship do the customer a solid and provide the actual barrel dia. It would be much easier ordering pellets, my barrel is actually .455 I have friends who is .457 So heads up Evanix. Utilize the excess space in the barrel shroud for baffles like some of the Hatsans Better Grip
What Others Should KnowYou should really consider having your bore dia. checked. I ordered pellets but due to inconsistencies in the pellets many would not fit. I you measure you the right size fit for a good seal. Buy spare fill probe o-rings I get 5mm x 9mm the probe works perfect now.
Buy lots of pellets my first round at the range lasted 3 hours the last hour having a crowd behind me wanting to shoot it.
The simplicity of design is nice... weight is key. Shoots just fine. Handles heavier, longer, ammo which shoots well and impresses the target nicely...
Things I Would Have ChangedThe QC could be better - My gun came with a blemish on the powder coated shroud. Small but still not happiness. The grip - I ordered a custom grip from Indignant Arms... high quality. The OEM grip is not of good quality and again the QC could be better. Once I removed the factory grip and tried to reinstall it the grip did not go back properly. I had to take a file and adjust the slot to allow it to seat proper. The butt plate & fill hole - the butt plate needs to be removed to access the fill hole... Unscrew it every time. TEDIOUS. A detente and quick disconnect would allow for easier refill and orient the the butt plate back correctly every time. I modified the butt plate using a quick release from a scope mount... not a bad solution but a factory one would be better. Finally... the trigger adjustment... .89mm Allen key!... ridiculous! Make it bigger or include one with the gun... it's a joke but not a funny ha ha joke.
What Others Should KnowThe proper fill for this gun is a question mark of sorts... The fill gauge goes to red at 200 bar... the owner's manual says fill to 220 bar... the gun itself is marked 250 bar. Hmmmmm... So I asked the question to Pyramyd and Evanix... Pyramyd played it safe and said follow the owner's manual. Evanix on the other other hand said nothing... The after sale support from Evanix is non-existent (or maybe just on a two+ week delay... ha ha). I don't mind the challenges and can do the little stuff so the gun is fine... if you want fit and finish and high quality materials throughout directly out of the box maybe not the gun for you.
1st impression the gun looks and feels nice, lighter than most but nice weight. The finish looks great
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing as of now haven't shot yet. I paid for the 10 for 10 any some at PA forgot put everything back in the box. Only gun and shot card no instructions/manual missing the cover for the fill port and no fill probe. So all I can do is look at it until PA sends everything, probably 3 more weeks. No more 10for10 I'll test it myself.
What Others Should KnowThe gun seems to be built well. Will update in a few weeks hopefully. I havent sgot yet so 3 stars until then
Very powerful and compact. Great for hunting in the woods. The Evanix Rex .357 is also great because it can be filled with a hand pump.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing
What Others Should KnowThe gun is different than the picture shows. The barrel is even all the way down. This gun might be small but it packs a large punch going through 2x4s no problem.
Light weight, powerful, accurate, quality design (did I mention POWERFUL !!!?).
Things I Would Have ChangedTrigger adjustment is a little tricky. Owner's manual needs more detail.
What Others Should KnowThis rifle is a real hammer with lead slugs, plenty of oomf for small to medium size game. Quality of workmanship and simplicity of design are evident throughout and costs $100's less than the other rifle from Texas!
plenty of power, super accurate, lighter than expected. bought to hunt alligator in the Louisiana swamps... exceeds the expectations! would recommend as a go to hunting rifle.
Things I Would Have Changed...be able to interchange air reservoir to different sizes ie. more or less shots... would like to see more fps and fpe ratings with different pellets listed for the gun on website. it would make pellet to application selection easier for people who don't have a chronograph or don't have time/money to try them all.
What Others Should Knowthe gun i received and what is pictured on the website is not the same. i believe i received a Rex kt or at least the barrel... it is much shorter than the specs say. the box was wrinkled and torn like maybe the rifle was used or opened or a display. It was definitely not "new". I'm not upset but would have liked to know if it was a floor/display model before i purchased.
Very, very powerful lightweight rifle. Very accurate!
Things I Would Have ChangedThe DB is 103.3 which means this rifle is not backyard friendly. And it would be great if Evanix can do something such as design a built in silencer in the future.
What Others Should KnowThis is a big boy hunters rifle and not a target practice rifle.
ABSOLUTAMENTE TODO !!
Things I Would Have ChangedNADA, DE NADA !!!
What Others Should KnowTENGO LA PISTOLA y RIFLE,FORMMIDABLE EL PODER DE CHOQUE DE AMBOS.-

Fit and finish are still solid after 500 shots, same with all components. Accurate to small game level at 70 yards but could go far beyond. Fairly easy to hand pump if your in semi decent shape. Light and compact with the ability to take up to large game. A great addition to a bug out kit.
Things I Would Have ChangedDitch the fill probe, this bad boy eats o-rings like a real rex . Invest in 5mm by 2mm
What Others Should KnowOrder from here, had a problem early on with a leak and got superior customer service. Their advice did work but they said I couldn't use my hand pump and I totally did. Great low maintenance big bore.
