This FX Superior Smooth Twist X Slug Barrel Liner will shoot both heavier pellets and heavier slugs with improved performance vs. regular Superior STX barrel liners because of a customized twist rate.
The Superior STX Slug was created using the same innovative exterior-pressed rifling, but with tighter tolerances and upgraded techniques and for greater precision.

Great barrel liner replaced my STX superior standard liner with this heavy liner for my .25 Impact. Did a thorough cleaning then took time to break in barrel. Took my slug groups to a mediocre "1" inch at 50 yards to a ragged one hole. Much needed faster twist rate is needed for shooting slugs. Shoots JSB 33.95 KnockOuts and NSA .250 HP-FB 36.2 extremely well.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe Wait Time to get it from FX to Pyramydair forever waited 10 weeks. But worth the wait.
What Others Should KnowShooting FX Impact .25 with Power Plenum 700mm barrel and you don't need 150/160 bar to get slugs down the barrel. After a long time at the bench found that 110 to 115 BAR with your hammer spring tension Max out. With adjuster wheel on Max setting. Set valve travel adjuster set at forth line. Pushed the JSB Knockouts at 910-fps with ES-10 SD 2.0 through my chronograph. The NSA 36.2 on same setting were 865 fps with ES-6. In order to get my accuracy I lubed the slugs with Ballistol in an empty JSB tin with the white foam disk on the bottom just spray enough on the foam disk then put in 25 to 30 and roll them around so they are lightly coated. Don't over lube a little bit goes a long way.
