Description
The FX Wildcat MKIII Sniper PCP air rifle with synthetic stock furthers the groundbreaking Wildcat legacy that defined the standard for bullpups and compact air rifles. This air rifle offers many improvements and new features, such as the rear power adjuster dial, with 7 major levels of preset hammer spring tensions, and additional refinement possible with an access hole at the 8th space on the dial, using an Allen wrench. In addition, the main block of the rifle received an upgrade via increased plenum size and improved valves for more power and better consistency.
This Sniper model gets more shots per fill compared to the Compact, and has more power with only .75 lbs. of extra weight and 7" of extra length, making it great for hunting and target shooting. At first glance, this airgun looks like the Wildcat MKII, and indeed shooters will find familiar Wildcat features, like the silky-smooth sidelever, externally-adjustable AMP regulator, and remarkably light adjustable two-stage trigger.
FX addressed one small shortcoming in the Wildcat MKII by adding a regulator manometer in the stock to go along with the air cylinder manometer. The Picatinny optics rail now comes standard, instead of the 11mm dovetail, and 1/2" UNF threading on the muzzle provides the option for an add-on moderator. In addition, the Wildcat MKIII uses the same FX Side-Shot magazine as the FX Dreamline and Crown, which more than doubles the capacity of the previous magazine. This air rifle comes standard with the new Superior STX liner. As with all FX models built with STX liners, this allows for liner and caliber changes as you see fit.
FX continues to pursue shooting perfection with their improvements to precision airgun engineering and development. If you want to enjoy the latest advancements in bullpup technology, buy an FX Wildcat MKIII Sniper PCP air rifle with synthetic stock now.

10 of 13 FX Airguns Wildcat MKIII Sniper Synthetic Reviews
Fairly lite, the cocking lever placement is outstanding, it allows you to reload without having to take your eyes off your target and it has a very smooth act. It came with a hard case.
Things I Would Have ChangedI would add a support between the air tank and barrel, tend to pick up my rifle by the barrel, which may not be a good practice, but once you add a scope and bipod, you are limited to how you handle your rifle. Which is not necessarily a bad thing it forces you to handle it with care.
The Wildcats are light weight and the stock makes it a joy to hold, it just has that feel like it's part of your body. Built quality, well it's an FX you need to say nothing else. It is very accurate and likes many different brands if pellets but the JSB 18.13's seem to do the best with the H&N's right there with them. I am so glad they changed the magazines to accept the same ones that the Dreamline and Maverick use as you can swap them back and forth between different guns of the same caliber. If they only made one rifle this is the one it should be.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe main gripes about the Wildcat and there isn't many would be they need a barrel band so that the barrel if bumped wouldn't flex as much as it does and the scope rail should have moa drop built into it like the others.
What Others Should KnowIn the FX line I have a Dreamline, and two Mavericks as well as the Wildcat now and I'm going to warn you right now this will be your go to gun and it will spoil you.
power ...
Things I Would Have ChangedThe mag is not easy to fill and use has to be inserted perfectly to cycle ...Gun came without the barrel installed after almost a 4 month wait that Sucks ..no instructions for installation...I have a Mk11 mags can be filled and loaded in half the time without jams ..
What Others Should KnowThe supplier wants you to pay the extra bucks to complete the rifle but there was no communication of this when ordering
The design, weight and FPE are great.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing other than the manufacturer's final testing of the product before it is sold to the purchaser. Mine came to me with multiple problems that should never have passed final inspection before it left their manufacturing plant.
What Others Should KnowIf you do not have any mechanical knowledge or gunsmithing experience, I would have the seller test and check your FX product before you have it shipped to you.
Extremely accurate, smooth, and light. I use it to kill iguanas around our neighborhood and can hit dead center headshots at 100-150 yards. A good-looking weapon as well.
Things I Would Have ChangedA bit too loud, but neighbors have gotten used to it.
What Others Should KnowA bit expensive but worth every penny.
This is my first FX product and very well wont be my last. Well built and smooth trigger make it great to shoot.
Things I Would Have ChangedI really don't lIke the manometer at the end of the barrel. Relocate please. Goes against all we teach kids about looking at the business end of the rifle.
What Others Should KnowSticker shock sucks, but save your coin and step up to the FX realm. I am glad I did. Really would like to get the bronze impact .357 next.
This is my first FX airgun and I couldn't be any happier with it. I am new to PCP air rifles as of this year and am hooked already. I really wanted this in .22 caliber but could only find a .30 caliber in stock. I'm pretty sure I got the last Sniper left in stock in the U.S. I have a caliber change kit for .22 caliber on order. This gun is loud, so I bought a Donny FL Tanto which quiets it down considerably. This gun is extremely accurate and powerful! I haven't done any tuning on it yet and get about 26 shots per fill on the tune it came with. I wanted the .22 caliber for a little cheaper target shooting and a higher shot count per fill and shooting smaller pests, but the .30 caliber will be handy for taking care of coyotes and groundhogs. This is the most I have spent so far on an air rifle but it is worth every cent!
Things I Would Have ChangedIt would be great if they included an extra mag and a moderator but the included gun case is a nice bonus.
What Others Should KnowIf you are considering purchasing one of these and can afford it, don't hesitate. I'm sure you'll find that you're glad you bought it. The action is very smooth, the stock feels great and fits my hand well and the trigger is first-rate. It makes it incredibly easy to shoot accurately.
Love this rifle got it for the sole purpose of hunting in 30 caliber
Things I Would Have ChangedWho don't want it to be cheaper and who doesn't want an extra mag. And it needs a moderator sent with the rifle
What Others Should KnowThis is not backyard friendly if your neighbors are close it is loud
Have wanted an FX rifle for years. Finally bit the bullet and got this one. Great little rifle. I'm not used to this kind of quality in my airguns. Other guns might do the same thing, but not with the smoothness...pure quality of this gun. I'm glad I pulled the trigger and bought it. If you decide to buy, just be patient. It takes months to get them because they are in such great demand.
Things I Would Have ChangedI would like to see swivels on the gun...magazine carriers...and the rail should be set so you can shoot long range easily. Of course you can get get the adjustable scope mounts if need be. Of course, a lower price would be nice.....
What Others Should KnowI believe that if you buy it, you will be well satisfied.

The body and charging mechanism appears sturdy. It is quiet with a DonnyFL moderator
Things I Would Have ChangedMassive issue: The barrel has flex to it. The chassis and scope are mounted solidly together but the barrel flexes, therefore destroying accuracy. My magazine kept falling out and it jammed. FX fixed it and mailed it back. FedEx lost it. They underinsured it. They were nice enough to replace it with the same model but with ai inferior moderator and scope. It wouldn't accept a charge. It is now back in their hands. Ugh.
What Others Should KnowPyramid air is a good vendor.
