Description
The Hatsan Dominator S200 carbine is a compact rifle and is several inches shorter than the full-size S200. Because the rifle has no open sights, you'll have to mount a scope or a dot sight on the rail.
Either .177 or .22 caliber can be used to hunt small quarry and dispatch small rodents at short distances. Also great for plinking, shooting spinners and popping paper targets.

5 of 5 Hatsan Dominator 200S Carbine Reviews
Once I got her broken in and adj the trigger to my liking, she has become my go to rifle for target shooting. I love the adj comb on the stock.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe combo weaver dovetail. Make up your mind. That's it.
What Others Should KnowTake your time, break her in and you will be very happy.
The Weight of the rifle combined with the SAS system reduce the recoil to a very manageable level. The Quattro trigger is nice and adjustable, and very predictable. This is my first underlever and it wont be my last, I like the design over a break barrel.
Things I Would Have ChangedI would have the synthetic stock feel less hollow and plastic like. My Ruger Air magnum stock is much better quality, and the gun is about half the price. Not a deal breaker by any means though. oh and FYI, I would buy a second one if it had a gas ram and maybe a power levels closer to the 125/135 line. (1000fps in 22)
What Others Should KnowThe gun is more manageable than people have led me to believe (cocking effort and weight) IM 165 pounds and put about 300 rounds through it in about two hours without a problem. If you prefer utility over attractivness, this is the underlever youre looking for. Its also not very pellet fussy, at least mine isnt.
Wow , This is like the M1 Garand of air rifles - Big , heavy and powerful. At first I was kind of put off by the size and weight, however when I shot it I changed my mind. This is now my favorite air gun !
Things I Would Have ChangedI would change the scope mounting rail set up. I put a UTG 3x9 Bug Buster scope on it and it was kind of tricky. I ended up having to adapt the UTG weaver scope rings to the 11mm dovetail to make it work. It all ended up good.
What Others Should KnowThe cocking lever requires more than average force to charge it. I don't mind, I love this gun.
The heft of the rifle - it sits in your hands with a definite solidity. High coolness quotient with comfortable handling and stability. For a single-shot, under lever, this is one excellent airgun.
Things I Would Have ChangedWeight to the rear of the rifle. Yes, it's already heavy, but IMO, it would provide a more balanced feel. Nothing other than that.
What Others Should KnowFirst, it's heavy, almost 10 lbs. No way around it. Solidly built, no wobble or rickety movement, but you need to be aware of that going in. Second, charging the gun requires decent strength. The leaver has a lot of tension and travel. Also, it's 'two-stage', meaning you have to pull an extra bit at the end after you've opened the breech to set the trigger.
Overall, I'm hugely pleased with my purchase.

I put an old Sightron 6X scope on and had it shooting 1" grps at 35 yards in 10 minutes. This was my first foray into air guns since my Daisy pump circa 1958. I was impressed with power and accuracy. Only made me hungry for more. Well worth the price tag.
Things I Would Have ChangedI was not inthralled with the idea that you should not keep the gun charged for any period of time. By the time I cocked and loaded, I had missed my opportunity. Cocking effort is substantial, but energy in, energy out.
What Others Should KnowI returned this air rifle and am on the cusp of buying an AirArms Pro Sport, or more likely an Air Arms S510 and going PCP.
