This FFP Airmax 30 also maintains the same list of features that you will find on the rest of the line. Capped target turrets, 16 layer multi-coated lenses, and the illuminated AMX reticle. Speaking of the illuminated AMX reticle, which is great for low light shooting, the illumination has off positions between each brightness setting to allow quick adjustments to your preferred brightness setting without having the go through all of the settings.

I put this scope on my favorite rifle, the BSA R10SE, and love it! Lets a lot of light through and the image is amazing. The reticle is easy to see and the adjustable illumination works well also. The scope holds zero so I don't have to worry when I pick up the rifle that it will be "off" if I need to pick off a pest in the yard. The eye box is also pretty awesome. Makes it easy to shoulder the rifle and get into a good position.
Things I would have changed:It is a bit on the heavy side. The flip up covers are metal as opposed to plastic, which is a good thing, but they are very stiff when you first use them. After a while they seem to loosen up and I like that they give a nice "click" when you close them. Just watch your knuckles until they are broken in a bit!
What others should know:I plan to use a Hawke scope on all my rifles from now on, and even replace my other scopes with either this scope or other Hawke 50mm scopes. The overall feel of the scope just screams quality, and it is packaged well for shipping.

Out of the box I was a little disappointed because the side focus was very tight to move, I had to put the big wheel on it to move. after a little while it is moving much better. I put it on my M-rod field and target the clarity is very good the adjustment seems to be doing very well.
Things I would have changed:It seems the scope covers are hard to open. And make the side focus move a little easier.
What others should know:You may want to get adjustable scope rings for it because if you have to move more than one turn it will not track rite. It says that rite in the instructions.

Excellent quality scope at a great price. I was left a Airmax 30 3-12x50 by a family member who passed. It was fogged up. I was prepared to pay for the repairs. Hawke sent me a email with an RSA number. Within ten days of sending it off I received a brand new in box 4-16x50 Airmax 30 WA SF! For free! You can’t beat that kind of customer service. I can’t recommend them enough! I’ve already ordered my wife a red dot from Hawke. Thank you so much Hawke! Customer for life! The scopes clear as a bell. The IR works amazingly!
