The Athlon Optics Helos BTR Gen2 4-20x50 Rifle Scope is a versatile scope with high-quality construction engineered for best results at medium and long ranges. It uses a 30mm aircraft-grade aluminum one piece tube that is heat treated to provide increased durability, and it has a 50mm objective lens.
The scope is shockproof, waterproof, and argon purged, which gives it better fogproofing than scopes which use lesser methods. It uses XPL protective coating on its advanced fully-multicoated lenses for improved protection from oil and dirt, which helps provide clean and well-defined views in the toughest conditions.
The Athlon Optics Helos BRT Gen2 4-20x50 offers exposed locking turrets that prevent accidental movement, in addition to a precision zero stop for the elevation turret. Both turrets have 25 MOA adjustments per revolution with 0.25 MOA increments per click, and the elevation turret adjusts in a range of 110 MOA, and the windage turret adjusts in a range of 80 MOA.
The APRS6 FFP (first focal plane) MOA reticle uses etched glass for visibility and has crosshairs with hash marks that extend out to the edges in all directions, as well as a large Christmas tree shape with holdover markings and dots on the bottom that run all the way down. Variable brightness illumination can be activated to light up all markings contained on the reticle.

Other than being made in China, this is a solid scope.
Really clear glass and perfect amount of zoom for hunting.
I purchased this Athlon Helios First Focal Plane scope for a budget precision build based on the many positive reviews on YouTube. This is a fantastic scope for the price. Glass quality is great, the turrets are superb and the focus adjustment is very smooth. The illuminated reticule is perfect for long range shooting. My only complaint is the illumination knob is smaller than my other scopes, but really isn’t an issue unless you’re wearing gloves. Also, Athlon is an American-based company, but unfortunately their products are made in Asia.
Great scope for the price range. Clarity is good and the clicks are accurate.
I have this on a long range AR15. I use this at the range out to 600 in preparation for longer shots out to 1000. This scope has the clarity, and adjustments to use a 20MOA rail and still get on target at 100. Something my Zeiss V4 6-24 cannot do! The Zeiss has SLIGHTLY better clarity but is twice the price. At longer ranges, the Athlon really shines. It tracks perfectly. The reticle is very easy to use too.

I have used the riflescope out at my range and it has excellent clarity and great tracking. The riflescope has maintained zero with 270 Winchester recoil. For the price of the riflescope it comes with everything you could possibly want and then some. The illuminated reticle works well and the zero stop is a nice feature to have as well. I plan on getting another one like it for one of my other rifles. I also like the company is from my native state, Kansas.
