How many shots will you get from your 500cc Big Bore 44 909 Light Hunter? Our tech department filled their dual-tank air rifle to 3,000 psi, loaded it with 166-grain bullets and let loose! They shot the first 6 shots on high power. The first shot was 745 fps. Shot 6 was 713 fps.

The next 12 bullets were shot on low power. Shot 7 was 683 fps, and the final shot on low power was 574 fps. That brought the tank down to 800 psi for a total of 18 shots.

This shows you what one gun can do. Velocity and psi levels will vary gun to gun.

Get lots of shots with these big air tanks! Two tanks hold up to 500cc of air, giving you lots of hunting power and lots of shots. The Seneca Big Bore 44 Light Hunter air rifle delivers authoritative shots when it sends those .45-caliber pellets (actually, they're bullets) downrange.

Ideal for eradicating possums, beavers, nutria, raccoons and similar-sized pests who invade your ponds, gardens and fields.

Things I liked:

Great rifle, shoots consistently for about 8-10 shots on high power.

Things I would have changed:

The sleeves rubber seal constantly moves out of the groove. The fixed sight is held in by a brass screw that I had to drill out since it was put in way to tight and it rounded out with very little force.

What others should know:

Great gun but, small rail so the scope I bought was too long for use. Also, easy for beginners not much kickback at all.

Things I liked:

Ive actually got the single air camber in 45 caliber, it does not lack in power I can tell you that. Has almost no kick back because its a little bit heavy bit it will take down deer took two within three minutes of each other.

Things I would have changed:

When reading description it says something about a compact scope do not get one get a regular size scope.

What others should know:

One thing that I wish I would have done was bought a small compressor for it instead if the hand pump ( it is pain in butt pumping and pumping)

Things I liked:

Came within a week of ordering. Looks a shoots excellent. Getting 8 good shots on high. Very accurate to 50 yards so far. Ordered a compact scope so will test out longer distances later this week.

Things I would have changed:

Had to use blue locktite on the bolt screw as it came loose while shooting the first two times out. Heard thats normal. Not much else. Love this gun. Came without a scratch and looks beautiful.

What others should know:

I shot it through a Fresh 2x8 At 40 yds with a Mr. Hollowpoint 185 grain hollow-point and it went right through blowing a large hole out the back. The guns power and accuracy for the price point is exceptional. Highly recommend this gun to anyone. I own several big bores. This is now my favorite.

    • Jesse from USA asked:

Will this shoot .457 slugs? Or do they need to be .454?

      • Phillip from USA asked:

I just bought this .45 caliber air rifle yesterday and it takes two hands to cock it with the shoulder stock sitting on the ground. I've had two other people try to cock it and it is ridiculously hard to cock. What am I doing wrong or is there a way to take some of the tension off the cocking spring? This is my first big bore air rifle.

        • Mark from USA answered:

It should not be that hard to cock. Return the gun.
